Went for Sunday lunch which was very nice but sadly very over priced as it’s a chain pub - and beware of the service charge !!! It should be stated verbally when you order as ours was nearly 10% of the meal. Sadly because of this we won’t be back .

This was our first stay at Ring O' Bells, and it was definitely a pleasant surprise! Our destination was Cornwall, but we decided to spend the night near Bristol Airport due to our evening arrival. We had a delicious dinner in the restaurant before retiring to our room, which was lovely, spacious and clean. The amenities were a very nice touch, and the bed was very comfortable. Our great night's sleep ended with an amazing breakfast. The atmosphere in the restaurant and bar is very warm, cosy and welcoming, and the staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. Looking forward to staying again the next time we are in Bristol. A real gem!!

We have been coming here occasionally for years - the staff are superb (Hannah and Kate are really super) and the pub decor is great. On this visit, the meal took 50 minutes to arrive (slow, but not a problem as we were with family) - my only issue is the price. It was £115 for burger/chips and a drink for 5 (inc the 10% service charge they add - and which Hannah and Kate deserve). To be honest, they are pricing themselves out - £23 a head for a burger and drink per person is too much. They do have loyalty card discounts but the wifi is so slow, I couldn't log-on and register. Come on Butcombe Brewery / Ring O Bells - drop the loyalty card and improve your pricing for all visitors..

Stayed overnight on a long walk and overall it was great - clean, comfortable room, lovely food for dinner, excellent full English breakfast, great cider selection and friendly staff. Very dog friendly although in the end we couldn't bring ours. Had a couple of issues - booked a twin but made as a double and had to be changed...both our first AND second choices at dinner had run out (and the waitress didn't know until after we'd ordered!)...no milk sachets for tea and info sheet in room said there was a fridge so we thought it was in there...but couldn't find one so went back to the bar to be told there wasn't one! (But given fresh milk then).

We went for dinner with our very young baby, it was incredibley welcoming and friendly. The menu had a broad range of choices, the plant based stuff was delicious, as a vegan it was one of the best places I’ve eaten. Portion sizes where great, couldn’t fault it! We loved it so much we went back for more on our short stay near here. We’d go back more if we stayed longer.

We have visited in the past and it's been good so popped in for lunch en route home on a Saturday. The garden is large and well laid out with plenty of sunny and shady places to sit. It's great they have put a bar and ordering station in the garden. The fish special sounded very nice at good value at £13 but we decided on a shared Ploughmans and 2 local ciders, We were able to order quickly but it took a while for the food to arrive as there was only one server who was just amazing but rushed off her feet. Nice ham, lovely cheddar and stilton cheeses and the slices of sausage roll were delicious, could have done with some more of that! Our only minor criticism was the addition of a local apple or some grapes would have been nice and there was only one slice of sourdough each but it wasn't a problem when we asked for more and we weren't charged. We overheard others asking for more bread with theirs so perhaps they could consider increasing this as standard. It's reasonably priced given the quality ingredients and setting. It's a bit far away to visit regularly but it's definitely at the top of our list when we're in the area.
