We stayed here for a week in a privately owned apartment. The apartment was finished to an amazing standard with great sea views! Was very well equipped and we had a very comfortable time here. The gym in the hotel was really useful with a couple of spin bikes and some other machines and weights in a fairly spacious area. The eatery resembled a canteen, so we avoided that. The pool was a fair size with a pool bar etc. on hand. We only had a couple of drinks. The flooring heading to and surrounding the pool was not in great condition and felt fairly unstable. The lift available to take you to and pick you up from the beach area was very convenient. Take note of some of the parking restrictions outside and particularly to the fact that the yellow lines feature on the kirbstones, even when the painted yellow line in the road ends. We got caught out with this and got fined by the local police. Nice eateries just down the road. First class recommendation for Delicias close by.

This is our second stay at Riviera Vista in January. A year ago I wrote . "Our 2 bedroom suite (1106) was enormous, with a large balcony which even in January had the sun on it most of the day with a view over the bay. Bed was super comfortable. Kitchen area not suitable for proper self-catering but with fridge, microwave, kettle, cutlery and crockery it had everything we needed. We had no problems over towels or cleaning which some reviews mentioned. The pool and pool area was very nice, with a pool bar. It was deep enough to swim and warm enough in January. The life guard Omar took a lot of trouble to make sure my wife was OK while in the pool and getting in and out. Parking has been a problem for some as there is only public parking, often full. Less of a problem for us as my wife is a Blue Badge holder, although even then the 2 spaces were sometimes full, but it was always possible to find somewhere within a few minutes walk. Could be a problem in high season. Breakfast was generally good once I found microwave to compensate for defects in overhead food heaters., with plenty of choice and good coffee. We had buffet dinner twice and it was good value but starters and fish generally more interesting than meat dishes. Afters were very nice, with selection of ice-cream. The drinks however were expensive but this seemed to be true everywhere. Staff were all helpful and pleasant. Access to the beach via the lift was a great bonus and the walkable promenade is about 500yds long. All in all a very pleasant stay at a reasonable price." This year was even better! (Although potential problems for some as noted above still remain). This time we had again booked a 2 bedroom apartment but in fact were given a 3 bedroom apt. - 3 balconies and 3 bathrooms! Omar the life-guard was still there and once again made sure my wife was safe. Staff were very helpful. Re the beach, it's easily accessible from the hotel via the lift and there are sunbeds for hire further along. I found the waves this year too big for me to be able to swim (I'm a poor swimmer). Playa Amadores is only a few minutes drive away and is more developed, with restaurants etc and a protected bay that I could swim in. And if you like football or other sports the Irish Bar just down the road from the hotel is very good and obliging with finding matches, and you can eat there.

Do not go there if you have trouble breathing & walking. The hotel is at the top of a steep hill. It is very clean & laid out. However, there is no bar or nightlife. The nearest bars are at the bottom of the hill. Just 3 of them, one spar shop & a pharmacy. The food lacked imagination. Various items to help yourself to, nothing that resembled a wholesome meal. I also found a hair in my salad. The room was clean & pleasant. Also has a fridge, kettle, & coffee maker, together with a sink to wash up. The pool area is very nice & well kept & there is a pool cafe/bar. The staff were friendly & helpful The beach which is reached via a lift has a few worn out sunbeds. There are no toilets or cafes.

Just returned from 11 nights at this wonderful hotel. If you are looking for entertainment, local noisy bars, group holidays or local shopping DON’T GO. This hotel is a break from the norm; small town, plenty of sun beds, lovely swimming pool, friendly staff, free wi-fi, amazing views, quiet and relaxing; a place to switch off. After reading previous reviews we asked for a 6th floor room away from the lifts and had an email response the same day. Our room was a junior suite on HB. Could not complain about the food, and there are a few restaurants down the bottom of the hill and one bar which plays major sporting events if needed. The Spar shop is well stocked. The buses run frequently and this is the cheapest and easiest way to travel; Porto Rico 10 mins, Puerto De Mogan 20 mins, Maspolomas 25 mins. Porto Rico and shops and loud bars if that’s your thing, but we preferred Mogan (Friday market amazing) and Maspolomas sand dunes and relaxing bars near the beach. Turn left as you exit the lift to the beach and clamber over the rocks to Tauro beach or continue on to Palya Del Anadonres beach with sunbeds and bars/gift shops, easy walk. Definitely would return.

Well this hotel is set in a lovely location, slightly up at the top of a hill end of the road. Might be a little challenging for people who are less mobile but still manageable in any case. There is a spar, shops and a couple of restaurants in the mini centre just at the bottom of the road from hotel. There is a beach literally on the hotel doorstep but there is also Amadores beach which is beautiful a short bus ride away and even quicker in a taxi (€1.20 bus €5.50 taxi) the hotel is very clean and plenty of sun loungers around for all to use. The breakfast is ok enough to set you up for the day. The rooms are clean and spacious with a nice sea view balcony. The staff are very pleasant and happy to help and also polite. Overall this establishment is well worth the money and I’d come back again.

Probably didnt do enough research before booking, but this hotel is at the top of a steep hill. My husband struggled to walk it. Very nice hotel, & very pleasant, helpful staff. Don’t go there if you want night life. There is no bar or entertainment. There are 4 bars/restaurants at the bottom of the hill, but all closed on Mondays. One has live music at the weekend. Also, there are no English channels on the T.V. The beach has no facilities, ie. no toilets or refreshments. Not too impressed with the food. Lack of choice & no labels to say what the items were, breakfast always tepid. Also thought the towels were poor. So thin! Good shower & hot water Lovely pool & pool area.

If there is a better 3 star hotel in the canary Islands, tell me about it. I have stayed in 4 & 5 stars with less than Riviera Vista. Only and only minor issue was the pillows, but because we stay on the island it was easily rectified Belive me give it a try

We have stayed here twice in the last year, each time with our children and our eldest son has since returned with his girlfriend, the rooms are amazing, clean modern with great air conditioning. The cleaning and reception staff are amazing and work hard to keep everyone happy. I have to be honest and say that we have found the restaurant and pool bar staff rude both times we have stayed unfortunately. However this doesn't spoil our holiday. The pool is lovely with great views of the beach and bay below, plays del cura is quiet which we like with a goose shop, beach and a few bars all nice, not far from Porto Rico if you want something more lively for about 5 euros in a taxi , we will stay again most definitely.
