Artiem Asturias

Friendly team, nice environment, excellent breakfast and dinner options. We had a really good time also this second visit. In possible, we come again.

Excellent hotel! Cozy, spacious and very clean facilities. The property although it is next to the road and very close to the highway, is ideal as a base to visit all Asturias, it is very quiet, has fountains outside and if you open the window you can hear the water running, which is very relaxing, at least for us. All the staff was very friendly and attentive!

I would definitely recommend this hotel. Very modern feel and relaxing with very comfy beds. Only a short drive into Gijón as well and just off of the A8 road so really easy to get to. We thought the food at dinner was fairly overpriced but portions were very generous. However, the bread was charged at €2.50 per person and you were only given two small slices with no butter and a small bowl of olive oil. We also found the breakfast to be underwhelming. The mains included in the breakfast price were small and were odd combinations. The staff and the facilities (gym and pool) made the experience though and I would probably stay here again.

Rooms were very clean and updated with all of the travel luxuries, Spa was well equipped . Very helpful and nice staff. Overall great experience for our one night stay

We were really impressed with the hotel, rooms very comfortable and the staff were excellent. We enjoyed the meals we had at the restaurant and the breakfast was fantastic, we used the pool, gym and spa. The spa cost extra but it was worth it.

We spent 6 nights at Artiem and had a lovely time. We found the staff incredibly warm and helpful for every request. The hotel and grounds are well maintained and we enjoyed several meals (in addition to daily breakfast, which was a nice spread that included a hot offering (eggs/tortilla, etc.)). Our room (junior suite) was large and the bathroom (shower and separate bathtub) was very large as well. We had a standard room as well, which was cozy, but totally suitable and satisfactory. Our party included an 81-year old and a 6-year old, so we had a diverse set of needs and the hotel managed them all very well. The spa was enjoyable too (and they offer a family time during the afternoon). There is a small fee to access, but Asturian weather runs cool and cloudy at times, so the indoor spa space provides nice activity for children (and adults, outside of family time). A car in Asturias is a must. With a car, we found the hotel's location to be great. We were able to easily access Oviedo, Aviles, Gijon and Lastres. The nearby Playa de Nora is incredible (parking is a bit of an adventure; go early). Asturias is a really gorgeous place and we felt that Artiem was a perfect home base for our stay.
