Cristina is a delightful host, full of travel tips and insights into her local area. She very kindly upgraded our room, and we enjoyed having a picnic dinner just outside our room. The room itself was spotless and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was delicious.

A delightful guesthouse in the rural outskirts of Gijon, with the perfect welcoming and helpful host, Cristina. We had a beautiful room with views over the town to the sea. Breakfast was superb with a wide variety of delicious food, orange juice and tea or coffee. Whilst the guest house is in a beautiful and peaceful rural setting, it is only an easy 7 minute drive to the town centre.

We stayed here for 5 nights while visiting Asturias, and it was perfect! Our room, the Junior Suite, was very spacious and comfortable with a good sized bathroom. The breakfasts were ample, and they made scrambled eggs on request. Cristina, the owner, was incredibly helpful. She recommended local restaurants for dinners, which were all wonderful, as well as calling to reserve them for us. She speaks English well, so there was no language barrier. The location, while outside of Gijon proper, is very convenient for visiting a large area of Asturias. We had tried to reserve a different hotel, but when they were unresponsive, we found Casone de Cefontes. What a lucky break this was, as we would not stay anywhere else in the area now!!

Casona de Cefontes exceeded my expectations! It is such a beautiful setting if you're staying in Gijon. The manager Christina is so kind and helpful, she is a gem! She made reservations for us in town, called taxis, and was willing to help us with anything we needed. Coming from busy Madrid, it was exactly what we were looking for in Gijon. The city is amazing but it's worth being a few minutes out of town to stay here! The room was so cozy and the grounds are beautiful. We loved every minute and will absolutely be back!

Estuvimos hospedados hace aproximadamente 2 semanas. Fuimos a pasar un fin de semana en familia, mi mujer mi hija de 4 años y yo. Y la experiencia fue de 10!! Cristina, la gerente ofrece un servicio impecable, la casona es preciosa y si lo que buscas es estar tranquil@ y disfrutar de unos dias de desconecxion es 100% lo que buscas. La limpieza de todo el hotel es top! (Nosotros tenemos un estándar de calidad bastante alto y lo superaron con creces) Nos alojamos en una Jr Suit y la habitación es preciosa y no le falta de nada. También cogimos el desayuno buffet incluido y algo que nos encantó fueron pequeños detalles que tuvieron con la niña. (Nos preguntaron a la llegada lo que desayunaba para tenerle lo que le gustaba, le tenían un servicio de niños rosita en la mesa para que desayunara ella, etc) En general una experiencia 10! Repetiremos segurisimo cuando volvamos a visitar Asturias!

Solo puedo explicar cosas buenas de la Casona y de Cristina, la persona responsable del hotel. Un trato cercano y atento, siempre está ahí por si necesitas algo. Te hace sentir como en casa. Limpieza, orden, elegancia en cada detalle, sus ventanales te invitan a mirar ese verde de varios tonos que nos relaja y alegra la vista. Cada rincón del jardín está cuidado, con sus plantas, arboles y flores. Rincones para sentarse y evadirse que te hacen sentir bien. El desayuno cuidado en cada detalle, dulces, zumos y pan casero, que se agradece. Ves a conocer la Casona de Cifontes, no te arrepentirás.

Cristina contagia entusiasmo por conocer Asturias, te explica con detalle qué visitar ,dónde comer y te hace sentir esa paz que la Casona por sí misma te ofrece. Habitaciones con muy buen gusto y desayunos deliciosos y saludables. Como profesional de hostelería que soy ,lo recomiendo 100% .
