Not happy with my experience, nor the customer service I received. Myself and my partner booked to stay at travelodge Colwyn bay as a stop gap to our holiday destination. We booked to stay for one night, but ended up leaving just after midnight. The room was extremely hot, it was too hot to be comfortable, but also too hot as it did set off my asthma symptoms causing some breathing difficulties. We had been out for so wasn't really in the room til later on, but when we were in the room, we did have the window wide open to allow air in to the room. Having the window open didn't make any difference to the high temperature. I did speak with a staff member shortly after midnight about the heat who also said it was very hot, but we did have to leave and drive all the way home. No resolution was offered by the stage member. I was told to contact customer services the next day by webform, which I did. I have today received a response which basically blames the outside weather being so hot (it was not hot outside and it was actually very heavy rain) i was only offered a small refund of less than half of the price that I paid for my stay. I had also purchased 2x breakfasts so the small refund is ridiculous. The customer service response was not acceptable at all and I'm deeply unhappy and dissatisfied with their response. The hotel was that hot that it set off my asthma symptoms causing difficulties in my breathing, yet when I was outside my breathing and asthma was absolutely fine, no issues. A hotel room should not be so hot, its not comfortable for guests at all.
