Motel 6 Columbus OSU…. Olentangy River Road My wife and I had to make an emergency trip to Columbus Ohio, we had a family member in the Riverside Methodist Hospital and needed to stay nearby. As I was looking for a hotel, I was having a hard time finding one (did not know that there was a home game for Ohio State) then I found Motel 6 / Olentangy River Road. As I was reading the reviews, which you have good and bad, I thought I would give it a try. First of all, this is Motel 6, not The Hampton Inn, Hilton or Marriott, so if that’s what you are used to, go stay there. The room was basic nice and clean, and you need to bring your own personal care products. The price was great, and this hotel is in a great location if you need to be near campus or the hospital with many shops and restaurants nearby withing driving or walking distance. Check out Roosters Restaurant/Sports Bar right across the street. Bottom line…. would stay here again and would recommend to anyone that's looking for a hotel with just the basics.

PSA! Never stay at a Motel 6 I am moving from Kansas City MO to Ohio. Almost 700 miles away. When I booked. I called the property to ask their pet policy. The woman that answered at the front desk was rude, wouldn’t answer my question, and said that it was posted at the front desk and then proceeded to hang up on me without giving me a chance to explain that I am not local and almost 700 miles away. So I called reservations and confirmed multiple times that my bird (in a small cage) would be allowed in addition to my very well behaved adult cat since Motel 6 boasts no charge for pets. To drive all the way 700 miles to the hotel, I’ve been awake since 2am, to find out that the hotel would not let me have the room that I booked and paid for. They even had the audacity to tell me that I should have called the property to check…. (Tapping on the glass at the pet policy) To which I replied I did and was hung up on. Do not book or stay with Motel 6! I was left stranded with no place to stay after driving 700 miles.
