Stayed here for a Gamecocks football game. Great to avoid the traffic. Staff were helpful and friendly and the room had one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in.

We are located across the highway from the Lexington Medical Center and at the intersection of I-26 and State Highway 378. The University of South Carolina is about a 12-minute drive away. The room is quite large and very good.
Renovated, the facilities are old, but it is still no problem to use.
The front desk service during the day was very good, and the big sister on duty at night was a bit poor. But the breakfast service was great and it was definitely a highlight.
Health is good, according to the usual no slippers, toothpaste toothbrush and razor, too late to find the big sister.

We needed a place to stay for the night after an exhausting trip to New England. We drove from Winchester,VA to Fort Jackson(with a few stops) and needed a room. This La Quinta was a perfect stopover, and we will certainly remember it in the future. Clean, courteous and recently remodeled.

I have to give all props to me frank at the front desk ... From my reservation overnthebphone to in person ... He is quite an amazing person and has truly made our stay wonderful thank u mr frank .. GGuest UserThe first challenge here was access. The hotel fronts on Gervais Street, but you have to access the parking lot from Lincoln Street. They have gated parking, but you can press a button to be buzzed in when you first arrive. After that, your room key can be used to access the lot. The sign said that guest parking was $14 per day. Check in was fairly quick. We got a room on the 4th floor (of 5). They had multiple luggage carts of at least 2 different types (I saw at least 4 total), which I pay somewhat more attention to now after staying in a larger place that only had 1... The hotel seemed quiet. Rooms toward the back would probably help in this regard. The location is on a main street in town, about 2 - 3 blocks from the state capitol building complex. It is a short walk (5 minutes or less) to a large number of restaurants or bars in the area. If you are here on a weekend, the Soda City Market is located on (mostly closed for just pedestiran use) Main Street starting about 5 blocks away. Breakfast was included with the stay. It started at 6 a.m. on the Saturday we were there for it. I'd say it was about average for what hotels are providing now, post-Covid. I had enough to eat, anyway. Our room was fine; we only had one bath towel for some reason, but we didn't notice until it wasn't convenient to request a 2nd one. The bed was comfortable. I've stayed in 3 different hotels now in / near Columbia. For staying in the walkable radius of downtown, this is a good option.

AAshley NapierBeware of this hotel! Stayed nearly 30 days here. Had over $2000 still unresolved Fraud charges on two of my cards used at this hotel. Was harrassed daily even when room had been paid in full. Double charged twice during the stay tying up much needed funds that took over a month to get credited and refunded! Police were called , ultimately forced to leave a night I paid $165 for! Waited hours at the desk. They would run my card so many times and have it flagged for fraud - forcing me into hours on phone held hostage in their lobby while I had to call my bank and fight to have fraud alert lifted. Door keys constantly not working in the middle
Of the night. Pool room was freezing and pool dirty. The laundry had one working machine for entire hotel day and night. The printer was NEVER able to be used to print anything. The game
Room we were not even told existed until 3 weeks after staying there. Then once we knew about it no one could find where the game controller and supplies were kept. Horrid nightmare experience!

GGrayAgain I always stay here! I visit too much! Now that I have made the decision to move back I probably won’t have to stay with them much anymore unless it’s a weekend getaway! Either way, the room was clean, bed very comfy, staff was as always very friendly, very accommodating not that I ever ask for anything but still! Check in and check out was breeze! The location is perfect, close to shopping and food, easy to access to everything! I honestly don’t stay anywhere else!

GGuest UserFilth is the best way to describe this Super 8. The room was supposed to be 2 queen beds and it was 2 full beds with a queen headboard. Dead cockroaches on bathroom floor, live baby one on dresser as we set our bag down almost on top of it. Went to wash our hands and the sink drain emptied right onto the floor, we had to put the waste basket under it. The bed sheets were all wrinkled as if they hadn't changed them from the previous guest, also cigarette holes in the bedspread and the room stunk like old cigarettes even though it was a non smoking room. We had to pay extra 25.00 for our small dog and she was cleaner than this room. Our dogs house is cleaner than this room. We arrived late and this was the only room available so we were stuck. We slept in our clothes on a blanket we brought with us on top of the bed that's how filthy it was. Never again will we stay in a Super 8, we will sleep in our car before we ever come back here or use a Super 8 again. FILTHY is the only way to describe this hotel. DO NOT STOP HERE. BEWARE FILTHY

GGuest UserReview of Extended Stay America Suites Columbia Ft Jackson South Carolina August 24, 2020. First the positive. The motel was a few minutes away from Fort Jackson. Now for the negative. We were charged more than double the going rate of $55.00 simply because this Extended Stay Facility was close to Fort Jackson on our granddaughter’s graduation day. The room they gave us was on the third floor facing I77 traffic which disturbed our sleep all night long. Then at 5 am the city garbage truck woke us up with its loud back up beeping and its banging the dumpster after we finally got a bit of sleep. We expected a two-room suite, a two room with a living room and a full kitchen as usually advertised, but this was an old one room place worse than a Motel 6. The rustic two burner stove and refrigerator in the kitchenette looked like something out of a 1950’s movie set and there were no kitchen utensils like advertised. The Hotel.com website said “Full Breakfast” which was a lie for when we got there, we were told all they had was a grab and go bag, and there were no bags just granola bars, muffins, oatmeal packet, cookies; just junky stuff. The lounge chair extended out, but refused to return. The door was so poorly hung that you could see light coming through the open crack at the bottom meaning any critter could crawl into your room. For the amount we paid we were expecting a full Extended Stay place. What a disappointment this place was.

AAdventurer101The property has improved since the last time I stayed here. Room was clean and all amenities were as described. This property has started serving breakfast too for those who booked rooms with meals. I was concerned about the bugs like what had happened during my stay before; however, the only time I saw a bug crawling on the wall was on my last night here. All in all, an improved property.
