Let’s start with the positive. MOST of the staff were very Courteous, helpful and professional, except 1 front desk staff who was snappy and rude. Our room was not cleaned for the two nights we were there. Apparently, Hilton has a new rule where you have to request for your room to be cleaned. Or else, it won’t be cleaned daily. I needed fresh towels and I was told I needed to bring down the dirty ones myself, take them to the laundry room and then I was given 2 new/clean towels. I asked for more because we were are family of five and I got snapped at. The Elevator was broken and so we had to take the stairs. My son has a sport injury and was in a lot of pain climbing to the 3rd floor. No accommodations were made. There was a large trash can located just outside the elevators doors adjacent to our room and it stayed mostly full and smelly. We ran out of body wash and when I called the front desk, I was asked to bring down the bottle for a refill. When I reminded the staff that the body wash was literally bolted to the wall, she said ‘oh yes, you can’t move it. We are out of body wash any way, but I can give you bar soaps’. So, I went down for the bar soap, and she gave me 2 tiny soaps. The business center was closed due to construction/renovations, so we had to go downtown for our printing and business needs. 1 front desk staff was gracious and asked me to email him my items and he would print out for me. The pool was closed due to construction, so the kids were very disappointed. Two mugs in the kitchen cabinet were dirty with lipstick stain on them.

Ned is an amazing asset to Hilton. Ned went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. A coworker and I sat at the long business table to finish up our workday, Ned made sure to check on us several times and even brought food and drinks to us, even though we were not in the restaurant/ bar area. We were able to relax while we we finished our workday. Ps. The brisket grilled cheese sandwich is AMAZING! Make sure you order one, you won’t regret it.

The king studio suite was spacious, with a small kitchen if you are traveling with family. We were on 4th floor (there are 5), facing the busy roadway, and could hear some noise, even though in my reservation I requested the parking lot side, away from the highway; none were available upon our arrival around 2 PM. I rhink it would have been really loud to be much lower - the hotel itself is atop a steep hill, and that helps. From the looks of the cars in the parking lot, it appeared to be sold out on a Monday. There was a security guard on duty in the lot, which we liked. The evening reception was very nice, with beer and wine, and a Mexican food buffet. That and the also good breakfast choices, made the stay a good value. As my title notes, it was very convenient to the places we visited - even walking distance to Riverfront Park. But that steep hill back up to the hotel would be a challenge - and there is plenty of parking weekdays at the Park.

The property has improved since the last time I stayed here. Room was clean and all amenities were as described. This property has started serving breakfast too for those who booked rooms with meals. I was concerned about the bugs like what had happened during my stay before; however, the only time I saw a bug crawling on the wall was on my last night here. All in all, an improved property.

I stayed here for one night while playing at an Oktoberfest off site. It was bascially pretty good. The room was modern and nice. There is a lot of noise fromt he street but it was Saturday night. The parking is in their garage and is free. You are just given a slip of paper to put on your dash. Check in and out were basically good. I did try to check out and got someone else's bill by accident. This was corrected though. The breakfast was not a good experience as I had to buy a dried oatmeal canister to put in my microwave. The coffee was good as it was Starbucks. All in all, if you are staying on campus, this is a good choice.
