Staybridge Suites Colorado Springs NE - Powers

There is a difference between a suite and a studio. The suite has a separate room. Studio is one room. Both have small kitchen and pull out sofa. In our studio we could use the cushions from the sofa as another extra bed on the floor! There was no oven - just a stove top. There is full fridge, freezer, microwave, some dishes, some utensils and a pot and pan. Indoor pool was nice and warm maybe about 88?. Hot tub was adjustable heat and beautiful with jets. Great view of Pikes Peak. Not noisy. There was a full shower in the pool area (no walls and in the pool area). Lots of choices for breakfast buffet - eggs, oatmeal, yogurt, cereal, juice, sausage, waffles.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. We arrived several hours before check-in but they were able to get us checked in after a short wait. The breakfast was good. Very heavy on the carbs. The room was clean and comfortable. The in room coffee was good. Overall a great stay.

Downtown Colorado Springs
The bathroom in the original room overflowed, so I changed to another room. The breakfast was very good and the room was very large, suitable for family outings.

The good: staff was helpful and efficient and friendly. Lobby & breakfast area seemed newly remodeled? Breakfast on Saturday was good and well stocked. Plenty of TV channels. Great water pressure in the shower. AC worked good. Well located off the highway and near shopping. The bad: it’s a non-smoking hotel but every where was a faint scent of cigarette smoke. The mattress was horribly uncomfortable. Worst I’ve slept on in a long time. There was some cigarette burn marks on the comforter. Couch had several big stains. Bath tub drained very slowly, so while taking a shower you were standing in ankle deep water. Shelf in bathroom seemed to be barely attached. TV was smaller than most hotel rooms. There was a grab bar in the shower that was mounted exactly where you stand so every time you moved you bumped into it. Breakfast on Friday was “grab and go” with just a couple of options to grab from. The hotel sits near a busy road and there was some road noise. We’d give it 2.5 out of 5 if that was an option. We probably would not stay there again.

Based on price and star ratings, one of the better deals in Colorado Springs. Clean, nice staff, nice pool, close to a lot of things along a highway running north. A short drive over to I-25 so not too far off the path. Only problem was missing a tub drain plug, and you have to request room service if you stay multiple days. Would stay here again.

I was kicked out of the hotel for confronting the owner about giving us a bloodstained pillow cover as you can see in my photos that is proof that it was stained before and did not even touch a pillow! The owner stated I need to leave and I didn't belong at his hotel anymore so I was kicked out for confronting them about their disgusting habits I will be contacting the health department about this as that is hazmat to have me touch someone else's blood. I was also told not to stay in their towels with my purple colored hair yet they gave me a blood stained pillow. I even had to sign a consent form saying that my hair color would not staying there linens After we confronted him he also denied giving us the pillow and said why didn't we leave last night. Well because it was 10 PM and we really couldn't find a hotel at that time
