"I'm a Steigenberger fan. And this was my third stay at the Köln hotel. This year, it was clear quality of services and amenities dropped, from the collapse of the computer system right at the start of Gamescom, to long waits to speak with staff. The hotel needs more seasoned hands on deck. Staff is helpful & friendly, but overworked. Not happy with the half glass wall that separates part of the shower from the rest of the bathroom. It's a poor design that leaves the bathroom floor wet. Get a proper sliding door in place or a shower curtain. The bottom of the bathroom door showed clear signs of water damage. Also, don't flag all your green initiatives when you offer non-recyclable metal pods for the Espresso machine. Breakfast was great, parking nearby, love the location and neighborhood. But the hotel felt shabbier and service slide was notable from a year ago."

"The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were all friendly. The bathroom even had a bathtub, so I enjoyed a relaxing bath. The bed was comfortable, the view was beautiful, and I was completely satisfied. The hotel was also filled with Seo's works, which was truly stunning. If I stay in Cologne again, I'd definitely book here again."

"Overall a great hotel.room size was good.location was excellent.breakfast was probably one of the best we have experienced in Europe. One downside was the disappointing so called fitness suite..im sorry to say a treadmill,a couple of exercise bikes & a multigym doesnt really add up to a suite.. Also the changing rooms need addressing as there was only 2 booths to get changed in.. Still 9/10 for the Martim Hotel Koln.."

"Excellent location. Formerly an Interconti Hotel 5 stars. Therefore the rooms are very spacious and luxurious but unfortunately with many traces of use. A makeover is therefore certainly in order. Bathroom with bath and separate shower was fine. Parking right next to the hotel and Holmes Spa in the building. Everything at extra cost. Service generally friendly and helpful. Breakfast, if not booked in advance for 32.00 euros is too expensive. The hotel is more modern than the somewhat further away Hotel Maritim."

"It's an easy 5-8 minute walk from the rear exit of Cologne Central Station. Cologne Cathedral and the Ludwig Museum are just a 10-minute stroll away, perfect for conveniently and affordably viewing Picasso's masterpieces. The location is excellent. The rooms are spacious and bright, and housekeeping kept them notably clean. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast spread was quite generous and varied. Outside of major exhibition periods, it truly offers unbeatable value for money. Highly recommended!"

"We were here for a city break, the area is up and coming with plenty of building work going on but not disruptive. It's next to the smaller train station but has direct access to the airport, the main arena is nearby as well as the conference center. Hotel itself was clean and well designed, we had a small kitchenette in the room which was a bonus."

"Quietly, conveniently and serenely stayed at this hotel for the past 6 days. Good to recommend this hotel as a priority choice especially for cologne travellers who preferable to stay away from bustling areas. An enjoyable back and forth daily walk from hotel to train station whereby some good restaurants are the best solutions of our hungers. Highly recommended to stay and definitely will stay again in the future. Thank you.."
