"During the exhibition, house prices rose sharply. I found this hotel with a good price-performance ratio. The service of the German brother at the front desk was great. When I checked out, I found that the hotel seemed to be operated by a Chinese. The room is quite large, can accommodate two people, the decoration is simple, the toilet is a bit small, the sound insulation is not very good, it has no effect on people like me who are easy to fall asleep, the rest is not lost, the hotel also sent a bottle of sparkling water Not bad! The transportation is fairly convenient. You can walk to the subway and train station in ten minutes, and you can also walk to the cathedral in a straight road, which can be reached in more than twenty minutes."

"The location is good, it's only a ten-minute walk to Cologne Cathedral, and it's also very close to the main train station. The hotel is not big, the decoration is OK, it feels like the money has been spent on the whole house smart system, there is no small refrigerator but there is a coffee machine. The toiletries are L'Occitane and they are pretty good, overall it's OK. Because there is a premium during the exhibition, everything else is OK."
"First of all, the price of this hotel is average
His position is not very good for the evening.
Those used to be over 20 euros.
But the staff downstairs is very good!
Thinking of the room space is really not too big, but it is OK
But the room has unknown creatures, the equipment is small and simple
No air conditioning
But overall, it is acceptable!
The bed is big! The bathroom location is also big
But the bathing space is a bit strange 😅😂
Staff are very good
Give them bottles, and they will be willing to fill water for free to the guests
And free oranges!
Although their traffic is not very convenient
But because there's a game show in Cologne recently
This hotel is also a good choice "
"Stayed as a couple at Club King Double room for 5 nights during the Amphi Festival.
Pros:
- Unbeatable location, walking distance to everything while not within the Old Town which is way too touristy. Five-minute walk from the train that takes you straight to the airport.
- Room 99% soundproof, very private and peaceful (stayed at the Club floor, 6/6).
- Amazing bed.
- Full-size working desk in the room.
- Daytime service very professional, helpful, and friendly.
- The Club Floor lounge has it's own very good breakfast buffet (included with the Club rooms at no extra cost - apart from the higher cost of the Club room itself - so you might skip paying extra for the regular breakfast at the restaurant). Also daytime tea with cake and an evening snack are served as well. The snack could become your legitimate dinner if you need it, as there are hot options and appetizers. Amazing view of the cathedral from the Lounge.
- The food was amazing.
Cons:
- The night shift staff is not at the same level as the day shift, so try to resolve your matters during the day.
- Some visible wear and tear in the room (not important to me, but might bother some who expect everything to be 100% at this price point).
Overall:
- Highly recommend, would stay again."
"It's an easy 5-8 minute walk from the rear exit of Cologne Central Station. Cologne Cathedral and the Ludwig Museum are just a 10-minute stroll away, perfect for conveniently and affordably viewing Picasso's masterpieces. The location is excellent. The rooms are spacious and bright, and housekeeping kept them notably clean. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast spread was quite generous and varied. Outside of major exhibition periods, it truly offers unbeatable value for money. Highly recommended!"
"The location is very good! The rooms are OK but not something high level as the Hilton brand suggests. Other hotels in the area have better rooms. The most frustrating things are 1. the service of the people working there as they were slow, unprepared and the mixed up the booking types. The manager had to step in. 2. the decoration, style and facilities of Hilton Cologne are stuck in the 1960s. Not impressive or luxurius at all. There are 3 and 4 star hotels in the are with far better facilities. That is a shame for a brand like Hilton really."
"The location is good, there is a balcony, blowing the wind in the European streets is quite beautiful. It was hard to stay in the machine at the door. Our family didn't know German. Even the guessing was finally in. Said that there will be breakfast, only 4 euros, excited to live in and began to find, and confirmed with Ctrip's customer service, but found it downstairs for a long time did not find. The owner of the restaurant on the side is very impatient to say that it has nothing to do with the hotel, and it is not convenient to ask. The bed is not big, the bathroom is quite simple, there is no slippers, there is a hot water bottle, but the price is also grabbed, the location is still so good, walk 5 minutes to the cathedral, walk 3 minutes from the central railway station, walk 15 minutes to a commercial District, there are several tramps downstairs, it seems that it is a gathering point, but also a big dog, a little scary, but did not hurt anyone. Overall, the price/performance ratio is still ok."

Amazing
GGuest UserThe location is very good. 10 minutes walking to the cathedral. The rooms are nice and clean. Friendly staff and all speaking very good English. In general we had a very pleasant experience. Highly recommend it.
WWOLILWhile it's a bit far from major tourist attractions like the cathedral, public transportation is excellent, making it easily accessible. The room was spacious and clean, which I appreciated.
The only disappointment was that I paid extra for a room with a river view, but the view along the Rhine River to my accommodation was very different from what I expected, which was disappointing.
The scenery was more like a stream than a river...

YYueliangA really nice hotel. But temperature in Finnish sauna room is sooooo high! I have been to Finland and the sauna room there weren‘t that hot. My feet got burnt by the time I stepped on the wooden stair.

BBrianLyskirchen Köln is such a good choice even the locals and traveling Germans recommend it. The location is 5-7 minutes away from the Chocolate Museum and roughly 15 minutes from the cathedral and central station. You can easily walk to the restaurants (including a nice Thai place called Krua Thai) and bars and reach the Roman museum and Hohenzollern bridge without much effort. The rooms at Lyskirchen are comfortable but don't expect the typical extras associated with 4-star hotels. I was grateful for the swimming pool, which was spacious enough that kids don't bother you when you do short laps (most will be disappointed with the gym though). I highly recommend doing the online check-in because the front desk will tell you to perform it there anyway. Lyskirchen Köln has these really nice eco-friendly keycards too. The breakfast is typical intercontinental and limited (so if it's not included with the room the 25 euros isn't worth it). Overall, the hotel is still an excellent choice for a brief stop at Köln.

AAnonymous UserBoth the location and the design of the hotel building itself are top-notch!
The breakfast buffet is also great. Quality control needs to be carefully managed every day😔Sometimes it’s good and sometimes it’s average
Finally, regarding the facilities of the hotel, generally speaking, they are in line with the average level for this price range, but they still look a little bit old 😂
SSerenay B.Our experience was generally positive. The room size and bed comfort were good. The bad experience was that there was a lot of noise from the adjacent rooms. And some other guests were very noisy late at night. I don't think the accommodation management was very concerned about this issue.

GGuest UserGreat location. Clean and tidy room- worth the price.
However, had the most astonishing experience in my life with a male receptionist called Sahsa Grass.
Room check in time 15:00. I arrive around 14:20 (I'm yet to have a say in the DB schedule). The front door was closed. Ring the bell. A man opens the door and looks at me like ”wth do you want?”. No hello, no welcome and no smile.
Me: *smile brightly to compensate for his unenthusiastic welcome* Hi, I have a booking here.
Sasha: There are no bookings till 3.
Me: I know. That's fine. I can just wait in the waiting area. *smile*
Sasha: This is not a waiting place, THIS IS A HOTEL.
Me: Hotels have waiting areas (lobbies). *pointing at the lobby* what is that for then?
Sasha: it's for guests.
Me: what am I then?
Sasha: you're only a guest from 3pm.
* I was dumbfounded at this point. Is he actually being serious right now*
Sasha: I'm alone here, I have to go up and down. I can't let you wait inside.
Me: *dump my luggage on the landing infront of the door* I'll stay here then. *NB temperature outside over 35°C*
*Sasha shrugs and closes the door*
Around 5- 10 minutes later I ring the bell again and ask for a refund. There was absolutely no way I could stay in a place where I was treated this poorly.
Sasha: it's not possible. You are free to go anywhere, no one's stopping you. But no refund since it is your decision to leave.
Me: the only reason I'm leaving is because I'm not happy with your customer service!
*Sasha repeats some of the things he said previously. And raises his voice. I raise mine above his.*
Me: You don't get to speak to me that way. No one does.
*pull out my phone to record this incident. Tries to shut the door on my face. I keep my foot. He still pushes it against me- thus, officially physically assaulting.
A few minutes later another guest enters the hotel. I tell him what had just happened. He is shocked. Asks me to come in and speaks to Sasha on my behalf. Sasha repeats the same. The guest lets me wait in his room- note, I was parched and visibly drenched in sweat in the heat.
The next receptionist Jasmine takes over shortly afterwards calls in to inform my room is ready at around 2:45. She was profusely apologetic for her colleague's behaviour and escalates to the owner. NOTE: SASHA WAS ACTING LIKE THE OWNER but the owner is a lovely gentleman of Chinese ethnic origins. He comes down the following morning and profusely apologises for my experience. Offers a full refund, free breakfast and a bag of brownies. I only accepted the latter as not to hurt his feelings and tell him it's my dignity that was injured (these things can't compensate for that). He says Sasha has previous experience as a receptionist and he's surprised by his behaviour. If this were to recur he would be sacked. But now looking at previou reviews looks like I'm not the first.
Don't let this put you off though. I would have given a 5 out of 5 (exceeded my expectations for the price) if not for Sasha Grass (photo attached).
Leaving this note as no guest deserves a holiday ruined and no employer deserves a business ruined because of a sorry excuse of a man like this.
AAnonymous UserCheck in was easy, its a nice hotel right in the town and a walking distantie from the train station. The service was good but did not expect the wellness centrum to be alocated at a different building but still was nice to have use the faciliteiten.

NNina ShahidI arrived in Köln at 12pm from 14 hours bus journey, they let me do early check in. My single room can only be access by stairs, the receptionist saw me with heavy luggage so he change my room that can be access with lift which is double room. I paid for single but got double instead. Im very very happy with the hospitality given by the hotel, specifically by the young black hair guy (I wish I know his name) that helps me a lot knowing that this is my first time in Europe. *************, I’m very grateful.
The hotel is nearby Cologne Hbf, less than 5 minutes walk. The room & bathroom are clean & comfortable. Very recommend to stay here, staff are all so kind & helpful.
