Best Hotels in College Park, United States

Staying here for the second time, because the newest and largest hotel in University Park City is here, 2 bottles of mineral water are provided for free every day, and the housekeeping will be done every day without an order. It is very comfortable to live here for 6 days!

The hotel is similar to the domestic high-end fast chain brand, the room layout is reasonable, the facilities are advanced, and the bathroom mirror is also equipped with Bluetooth speakers. Very clean and the service is very intimate. The parking fee is 8$. In fact, it was discovered that McDonald's next door, cvs should be able to park for free. But it is said that Maryland is not safe, but it is only a little closer to the hotel.

The hotel is across the street from the University of Maryland. There are supermarkets such as LIDL, CVS, Burger King and McDonald's nearby. Life is fairly convenient. The hotel has a parking lot, not small, and there is a gas station next to it, suitable for self-driving. The breakfast is decent, not rich, but there is everything that should be there. Front desk service is also quite enthusiastic. In addition to the price announced by Ctrip, there is also a County Tax of $6.55 per night

This hotel, although, conveniently located, is on a very, very, very busy street. Very close to the University, and a lot of fun places to eat and hang out, but it comes at the cost of being in an ever so slightly “shady” area. Once inside the hotel, you forget about all of it, and the staff do an excellent job of making you feel welcome and this older property. I will agree with some of the other reviewers that it is conveniently located to the green line, but we were unprepared for all of the fees associated with parking and riding in to DC. We wish we would have reserved parking lot in town and just driven.

This was our home away from home - literally, it’s a mile from our house - for a couple weeks. We stayed here after selling our house and en route to moving to Belgium. We stayed in a large one bedroom suite. It was perfect for us: big sofabed in the living room for our two kids, and a separate king bedroom with a sliding door. It was actually quite comfortable even for a couple weeks all together! One of the better Marriott lounges I’ve been to. We had a full dinner there every night! There’s always a warm entree (salmon was great) a salad, sides, snacks, and drinks (alcohol was extra though). Maria was the lovely woman restocking the food and tending to everyone. She got to know our little girls well! Breakfast there was good, too. Parking is easy in the huge detached garage, just a short walk. I think it’s included in the room rate. The bar downstairs had some decent food, too, and a nice atmosphere. I had several friends stop by to say farewell and it was easy to just meet there. Great place near our girls’ school to spend our final days in the USA. 😊

LOCATION is the KEY! Jackie @ front desk does a great job with what she has. Breakfast needs work on. For the money spent you CANNOT beat this SUPER 8. I return each time for nearby work for weeks at a time without regrets.

The room is large in size, has a kitchen, and the facilities are very new; the breakfast options are OK; the staff are efficient; there are supermarkets and Starbucks coffee shops within walking distance every week, which is very rare in the United States

Next to Washington, Maryland, it takes 40 minutes to drive to Washington. There is everything around, and there is an IKEA. The hotel itself is very good, clean and friendly. The most commendable thing is breakfast, good taste, variety, is a rare breakfast at this price hotel.

Title copied from another reviewer who I totally agree with. Five guests ahead of me and it took 35 minutes waiting for my turn. To save your spot 1n the check-in line, you couldn't go sit on available lounge seats obviously. There were 2 check in stations but only one was in use by Michelle. Wait was so bad that I offered to come and open second service station just to get things moving. My local Autozone in Philadelphia salespeople greet every customer at the door but at no time did Michelle acknowledge guests or even attempt to explain long line to assure customers with ”I will be with you shortly” or ”apologies for the delay” or ”the storm crashed our computers” or similar. This leads me to conclude, with some accuracy that an extremely long check-in line is THE NORM at this location . . . . The hotel did have some good aspects, such as nice rooms and adequate gym facilities. However, they were totally overshadowed by the woeful first impression at check-in. Breakfast is also an EXTRA COST add-on i'e - not included in the daily room rate. At the very least, IHG should have added it as a freebie to compensate the guests for the long check-in. IHG must be unaware that most, if not all the guests are coming from a distance - such as a long drive and/or flight, COVID protocols at every stop, TSA rules, etc. By the time most people get to the hotel, the last thimg they want to deal with is another TSA or DMV-type line just to check in. TSA line is understood. DMV line also fully understandable. Long hotel check-in = unfathomable. If I were the front desk clerk I would start with: ”Welcome to Maryland, home of Chesapeake Bay. I do apologize for the long line, if you'd like to have a seat in our comfortable lounge chairs, please put your name on this list here and I will call you when it's your turn. How was your flight/drive? May I get you a chilled bottle of water?” Above will show compassion for your clients, get IHG a better review and soothe travel weary customers Unless IHG considers above outside of their capacity . . . (This review is for a stay back in Jan 2022) I had a relaxing time at Residence Inn. The manager Wendy Williams was very kind and accommodated us so wonderfully I had to do a review. She went above and beyond to give us fantastic service. She even gave the guest some of the old furniture as the hotel was going under renovation. Many guests were happy to pick through the items near the dumpster; despite having a few things set aside, another guest took my items before I got a truck to remove them. Wendy went above and beyond to have her staff find me the exact items in other rooms. Not only did she replace my items, but she also gave me artwork (three frames) and beautiful pillows, and an office chair. When I arrived at the hotel, I knew I would have a relaxing time because I’d stayed there three times prior in the last five years, but I never knew the chair I’m sitting in here to write this review would come from the Marriott.
