Pike's lodge was very cozy and just down the road from the airport. When we first entered our room, I noticed some tracks were left on the floor from the previous guests. The water pressure was good, and if you had room 502 then the room will never get below 76🥵 degrees. There are a lot of elderly guests that stay there and guessing they are always cold so they crank the heat up in all their rooms which in by proximity and thermodynamics will heat your room as well. Had the thermostats set to 65 but never went below 76 degrees.

I used it for one night.
The free shuttle from the airport came in about 5 minutes when I called from the airport.
I regret that my stay at the hotel was so short because I checked in late at night, and the next day I went sightseeing around the city and went to China Hot Springs in the evening.
If I was lucky, I could see the aurora from my room, so I woke up several times during the night to check the sky from the balcony, but unfortunately I couldn't see it.
Are there many other stuffed animals in the lobby and hallways? There are paintings, a small fitness room, and a sauna, so I would have liked to have stayed more.

Pike's was such a unique and warm environment. The main lodge has a cabin feel with wood walls and a tin ceiling. It is filled with beautiful, original art work. It is very close to the airport, and they provide shuttle service to the airport and the train. We were there in winter and they provide an extensive hot breakfast buffet with the nicest woman managing it (Jodie?) that is available until 10, which is nice if you have been up until 2am chasing the northern lights! On site there is a car rental, a movie room which shows documentaries on the northern lights, a fire pit, ice sculptures, and more. The rooms are clean and well cared for. We stayed in a hotel in town one night and were disappointed after having stayed two nights at Pike's, which was so welcoming and clean.

Staff was outstanding. Breakfast was great, always hot. Servers were great and very attentive. Rooms were very nice and comfortable. Lots to do around the hotel. I highly recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Pikes Waterfront Lodging. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The staff, owners, and management really make an effort to make sure your visit to Fairbanks is great. There is also a nice restaurant just steps away from the hotel which came in handy since we arrived a couple hours before checkin. The free airport shuttle comes in very handy since during our visit taxi service was prettty much nonexistent or very difficult to obtain.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the cabins at Pikes and we had an amazing time. The staff at the front desk was super helpful and friendly. They allowed us to check in early after we traveled about 19 hours from New York. If you are to come to Fairbanks I would highly recommend staying at Pikes.
