Pike's lodge was very cozy and just down the road from the airport. When we first entered our room, I noticed some tracks were left on the floor from the previous guests. The water pressure was good, and if you had room 502 then the room will never get below 76🥵 degrees. There are a lot of elderly guests that stay there and guessing they are always cold so they crank the heat up in all their rooms which in by proximity and thermodynamics will heat your room as well. Had the thermostats set to 65 but never went below 76 degrees.

I used it for one night.
The free shuttle from the airport came in about 5 minutes when I called from the airport.
I regret that my stay at the hotel was so short because I checked in late at night, and the next day I went sightseeing around the city and went to China Hot Springs in the evening.
If I was lucky, I could see the aurora from my room, so I woke up several times during the night to check the sky from the balcony, but unfortunately I couldn't see it.
Are there many other stuffed animals in the lobby and hallways? There are paintings, a small fitness room, and a sauna, so I would have liked to have stayed more.

Great rustic place to stay in Fairbanks!
We stayed in one of the aurora cabins. It was nice and cozy. It’s not luxury with modern amenities. If that’s what you’re looking for then you probably shouldn’t go to Fairbanks. It was nice and rustic, and we loved it! It was a true log cabin experience. We loved the free shuttle to and from the airport that they provided! And, they had a complimentary breakfast which was great! Staff were fantastic! Would stay here again!

Old Lodge with nice amenities. Didn’t have the shuttle running into town which was our only glitch. Nice setting on the river with fire pits. Really enjoyed our stay.
