Fantastic. If only everyone could be fortunate enough to stay at Saffire. It is an incredible resort with wonderful staff and facilities in an amazing location. Nothing was too difficult for staff. They genuinely wanted guests to have an exceptional experience.

We have just returned from our sixth visit to Saffire, and as always, you feel like family returning home. Once you arrive, one of the staff will greet you at the entrance, and they will look after your car and luggage. Once inside, you are treated to a breathtaking view of Coles Bay and a glass of bubbly. This place is just incredible. The staff is attentive without being intrusive, the food is exquisite, the wine list extensive, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. They are situated so that once you're in there, you feel like you are alone in the world, with only the unobstructed view of the bay to keep you company. They offer many different experiences while you are there. The highlight for us was the Wineglass Bay Water Experience. Yes, Saffire has its own boat. Matt, the skipper, and Paul, the guide, will take you back in time to discover the history of the Freycinet Peninsula as you take in the breathtaking scenery and wildlife that surrounds you, from dolphins and seals to graceful sea eagles. Of course, you can also happily sit on the couch and look at the bay, watching the clouds and fog roll in over The Hazards mountains while sampling the impressive minibar. Undoubtedly, the staff at Saffire are the true stars. Their exceptional service, going above and beyond, ensures a stay that's not just comfortable, but also personalised to make you feel like the most important people in the world. Special mention goes to the Management Team, led by the General Manager, Patrick Barrie, and ably assisted by the Assistant General Manager, Michael Elmes. We also must mention Will, the Food and Beverage Manager, whose infectious personality adds a sparkle to the dining experience. Definitely the best luxury lodge in Australia

The experience at Saffire is second to none. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, you feel welcomed and valued by all the staff you come across. Whilst it may come at an indulgent price tag, there is immense value in the included 5 star dining experiences at every meal (beginning with lunch before our room was even available before check in), beverages, in room dining and mini bar, and the absolutely fantastic signature experiences/tours which are of the highest quality and all included. We chose the oyster tour on a previous stay, and the bee keeping experience and connection to country tour this time. All of these were fantastic experiences with entertaining and informative guides. I’d recommend you plan not to leave during your stay. Make the most of the experiences, first-class dining on offer and relax in the beautiful suites, and if you want to explore this beautiful area, hike, etc. do it when you are staying somewhere else that you’d be more willing to leave. You’ll feel like royalty here and the price-tag will be long forgotten.

My wife and I spent two amazing nights at the Saffire. If there is a 6 star lodge, this is one of them. The restaurant is beautiful and has excellent food. The wine list is amazing. I believe they had 40 white and 40 reds you could try by the glass!! one of our servers was from Uruguay and had trained as a sommelier and she even opened another bottle for us to try. The oyster farm experience is to die for. It is as close as I will ever get to heaven

Saffire is undoubtedly one of the finest resorts we have stayed at . EVERYTHING is perfection , the accommodations, experiences , location , food and wines . Most importantly is the incredible staff . If the resort is 5 star the staff deserves 10. We can’t wait to return !

Every aspect of our Saffire stay was amazing. Each dinner was a culinary experience. The activities were top notch as were the guides (especially Nicole and Ash). We really enjoyed the Wineglass Bay Lookout Walk, the Oyster Experience and the Tasmanian Devil encounter. The night skies were beautiful (the Milky Way was visible all night). I wish I had brought the right camera equipment to photograph it. Saffire might consider some sort of activity centered on the night skies. Saffire has become the standard against which all of our future travels will be judged.

We’d been wanting to visit Saffire Lodge for a long time and finally had the chance. We would certainly compliment the team led by Patrick Barrie who went out of their way to help and guide us during our stay. Overall, it’s a lovely spot and the accommodation was excellent with one of the most comfortable beds and bedding we’ve slept in (and we’ve slept in a lot of outstanding hotels). So, sleep quality was outstanding. We walked over to Wineglass Bay and swam. It was beautifully refreshing and clear water accompanied by a vigorous and picturesque hike. We also walked and swam in the beach right outside the resort which was pristine. The Oyster Farm is also a great included activity, though it was so windy we could not picnic in the water which was disappointing. We would have loved there to be a good quality spa, steam room, infrared and other wellbeing activity options befitting of a resort of this calibre. The massage we booked was good. The current gym is very small. I believe the Resort is developing a better spa/wellbeing option. The inclusive food and beverage is great if you like to eat and drink a lot. However, we tend to prefer to eat less and have an occasional glass of wine. So, the all-inclusive pricing did not represent great value for us. That being said, the food was generally good quality and some of it was excellent. We did feel that the gluten-free bread option needed to be better. There are so many wonderful gluten-free and keto breads available now and white gluten-free bread has no nutritional value and is carbohydrate heavy. On the final night we had a degustation and the service was rather slow. There were many international guests at the Resort and we met some lovely people there.
