Hotel room was fine, however our experience was soured when we left the next morning and discovered our trailer hitch had been stolen from our truck. Of course…they have no outside cameras! Be aware, called back and well, they hadn’t had anything recently reported but in the past they had problems.

Well located hotel in St Cloud within the events centre which includes 2 hotels and a restaurant/bar. Checkin was easy with friendly staff. Room was a good size and very comfortable. The restaurant was a short walk from the hotel but within the building and the food was good. There was a Prom taking place in the hotel and there were also a lot of kids, not sure what was going on but they were noisy for a while then calmed down. We did speak to the event center manager and she was very personable and engaged us in a conversation about the center and gave us some menu advice!

We have always had an excellent experience at any Residence Inn where we stay. Unfortunately, this was not the case this time. We reserved the two bedroom suite to have more room and more TVs for our grandkids. The TV in the queen bedroom did not work. The toilet in the king bedroom was constantly plugged, for no reason, and I spent much of our stay plunging it, after every use. My wife cut her foot on the broken tiles in the queen bathroom. We spent a lot of money and obviously were very disappointed with our stay. The staff was wonderful and tried to accommodate us, even taking $32 off our bill. We travel a lot and have come to expect more from Marriott. Hopefully, these issues will be resolved so we can continue to stay with them.

Great stay! Centrally located to what I needed, comfortable bed, warm shower and friendly staff. Check in was easy and the key app actually worked. First time I've had an App key that wasn't more trouble that it was worth.

Great Experience. We went to this location with over a dozen other families for a hockey tournament and had a great time. The convenience of food with a restaurant attached along several others within walking distance and a taco bell in the parking lot was great. Special shout out to Jack the night manager for making our stay memorable and he was very accommodating.

Maybe just an off night, but I won’t be returning to this Marriott property. Room wasn’t clean. Dirty socks on floor. Housekeeping was vacuuming halls at 6:30 in the evening…which isn’t so much of a complaint as it’s just weird. It’s a nice newer property.

We just finished our five night stay in the Residence Inn on Division Street in St. Cloud MN. We are long-term Marriott Rewards members and have stayed here before. We think some changes are in order. We stay at Residence Inns for two primary reasons: the bed and the breakfast. The beds are still fine, but the breakfast leaves something to be desired. Last year the regular coffee was so bad, we walked over to the McDonalds and got some real coffee. Marriott’s new bold coffee is not great, but at least it’s something we can drink. We like eggs and sausage or bacon. This hotel has that but it comes as prepackaged processed food. When you put this is a sealed package and heat it up, it (quite frankly) tastes awful. It has a preservative taste and the bread (of any kind) becomes very “soggy”! We’ve stayed at several Marriott hotels recently, and none of them do this (all have real cooked eggs and meat). My wife and many other seniors staying at the hotel like low-fat yogurt. Here they only serve “creamy” yogurt. She asked for sugar free syrup for the waffles (none of that either). I always eat oatmeal for breakfast with cinnamon and brown sugar (you guessed it, none of that). I asked the server about getting brown sugar, and he told me the management won’t let him put it out. All other Marriott hotels have brown sugar. We like apples for breakfast and snacks (no apples to be found). I like fresh bananas with my cereal. This hotel’s bananas are “soft and black.” I could add more, but you get the idea. While we liked our bed, the shower proved problematic. Somehow the shower head functioned like an umbrella and spread the water out so most of it hit the sides of the shower stall. Standing under it I didn’t get very wet. Thinking this was just an adjustment issue (I am an engineer after all), I wrestled with it on three different days and found it had two settings: the umbrella or the garden hose trickle (both poor excuses for a shower). Also, the seal on the shower door was not tight so water frequently leaked out onto the bathroom floor. We asked for room service once during our stay and got the minimum: barely clean and towels taken out but not replaced. I saw the housekeepers working down the hall and approached them. But none of them spoke any English so I had to call the front desk to give me a towel so I could take a shower. This is the closest hotel to my friends who live in St. Cloud, but I think we’ll look somewhere else on our next visit.
