The position and facilities are good, but the room is 1 floor and near the side street where is rather noisy with drinkers and talking people, besides there is a construction site start drilling and throwing stuffs in the morning that coz me sleep little....really bad experience even I had stay this hotel over 3 times and this is not my expectation

老闆是一個特別友善的人,幫助搬運行李。告訴孩子怎麼樣做車去學校。希望下次還會選擇這個酒店入住
Dragonfly Hotel Colchester

We stayed for just one night as we were having a school reunion nearby, so we didn't try the restaurant. We didn't have hreakfast either, so can't comment on it. The location is easy to find - just off the A12. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and the bed was comfy. Easy car parking. Exactly what we required.

I have stayed at Holiday Inn for quite few time and has always appreciated their efficient and quick services. From friendly reception staff especially Mr.Sateesh have been very helpful throughout my stays. He has always been on his toes every single time I’ve had called him for help. Would definitely recommend this place to my friends especially for their comfortable and friendly environment with spacious rooms and amenities.
Star Anglia Hotel

The hotel is small, simple, there is a bus stop at the door, and it is very close to the town center. It is very convenient to walk to the town. The English breakfast is very good (the chef is an older woman, one looks at the restaurant, likes her). While eating and looking through the floor-to-ceiling windows, I feel quiet.

Smooth check in, very warm and friendly landlord. He showed me up to the room and talked me through the code to get in from outside. I've lived in Wivenhoe before so didn't need any local info. The room was very small with one small window up high, and a low bed. This made me feel quite boxed in. It was warm and clean but every few minutes a door slammed downstairs making the whole room shake. I didn't know there would be no breakfast in the restaurant, and was quite looking forward to having humans around me on Christmas morning. Instead I found a tray of cold pastries and fruit outside my room. This made me feel isolated. If you're going to charge £116 for a room, please do make it better value for money. I paid the same for an amazing room with free mini bar and amazing breakfast at Greyfriars ! All in all, A nice place but way overpriced for what it is.
