Hotel à Rena d'Oru

I booked through *********** but wanted everyone to be aware of the customer service (or lack there of) this hotel provides. My stay was supposed to be from 6th-14th of August. The hotel was more than happy to email me requesting that I send them half of the funds for my booking. They even threatened to cancel the booking. I happily paid the fees to the hotel. On the day I was meant to fly out, I came down with a terrible case of food poisoning and was unable to travel. I requested to cancel through *********** with a refund. I really only want the refund of the second half of my booking. *********** has attempted to call and to email the hotel and been ignored. They recommended that I call. I’m still not recovered so I emailed the hotel and was ignored. My husband called on my behalf and the person he spoke with acted as if she didn’t understand and recommended that he email. She then gave him an invalid email address. Luckily, he found their correct email address on their Facebook page as the hotel website conveniently does not have it listed. He’s also been ignored. When he tried calling again, the call went to voicemail. I am a reasonable person. But I do not appreciate getting the run around. I was really looking forward to my trip and so disappointed that I was unable to go. I was hoping for some courtesy and hospitality from this hotel and have received none. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel. They very clearly are only out for your money.
