What a great experience! Cute motel with friendly staff and themed rooms, within walking distance of the lake and downtown! I love that they have chairs and a table in front of every room so that you can sit outside instead of being stuck in your room. Rooms are dated and need some work but ours was clean. Great breakfast place a block away and so many evening dining choices within walking distance . Next time we are in the area we will be sure to revisit the Flamingo.

Wasn't sure abut the place as we drove in, it's an old schoold Motel and you park right in fornt of your room. The women that check us in was very nice and the place was neat and clean. Had a good nights rest.

Convenient location and walking distance to parks, the waterfront, coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, shops, and boutiques. Friendly staff, easy check-in, clean, and each room is uniquely theme decorated. Will definitely stay here again when in the CDL area.

We stayed for 2 days and loved it. This is a classic motel in an unbeatable location that's been immaculately maintained. The themed rooms are very cool, with a lot of attention to detail. The sofa is a really nice touch. Very nice and attentive staff. We'd definitely return.

We have been coming to this hotel for about 5 years. We always enjoyed the unique 50's style vibe and closeness to the downtown area. However, this past stay in August we noticed our food in the kitchenette had the bags opened by mice and mice poop was on the floor. We saw 2 mice in the room living behind the refrigerator and it was very dirty under the refrigerator. I called the owner of the motel but he offered no solutions to our dilemma. We had limited options available due to the late hour. We left in the middle of the night and have not heard from the owner about our inconvenience despite an email and phone call follow up. Very disappointing to have such a cute motel become unacceptable.
