Yellowstone Valley Inn

We arrived late, so the key was in a lockbox for us. They had texted me a code for it, so it was easy to check in. We were in one of the lodge rooms that was handicap accessible, however there was a step from one room to the other. It was very hard to see with the dark matching carpet. Upon check out, we told the guy at the front desk that the elderly lady that was with me fell on that step. Instead of asking how she was or offering any assistance, he seemed to not care and just responded with ”thanks for letting me know.” The ”grab and go” breakfast was very limited to string cheese, yogurt, boiled eggs, and bagels available for purchase. Coffee was also available for purchase. The room was outdated. They claimed to have WiFi, but I could never get it to work. If you have time to stay somewhere else, do it.
Best Western Sunset Inn

In Cody, this hotel is already relatively close to Yellowstone Park. It is more than an hour's drive from the main scenic spots of Yellowstone Park, but the scenery along the way is still good. If the time to visit Yellowstone Park is not too tight, come to Cody for 1-2 In the evening, I recommend this hotel and take a break. There are places to eat, play, petrol stations and supermarkets nearby, so it is very convenient for supplies. There is a free parking lot, the service is good, the rooms and bathrooms are hygienic. Hotel breakfast can be.
The Cody Hotel

I looked for the most luxurious hotel in Cody and came up with this. Room was clean, of good size and a comfortable bed and had a refrigerator and balcony for fresh air (but no view, on the 'city side'). Breakfast was simple but fine in a good size very clean room (thank you). A few things to know: the sink is outside the bathroom (hard to be quiet in middle of the night), old TV has many cable channels but no streaming (we purchased a $30 Roku from Walmart across the street which we easily connected), and the staff - some older folks who seemed to not have local knowledge (the ones I spoke with). They were professional, kind and very efficient (these are likely retiree jobs for them). They should've been given more local information - recommended restaurants, where can I buy sandwiches before a trip to park, etc. This is not their fault, they just didn't have the info. It was a beautiful drive to/from YNP to Cody, but one particular mountain pass is not for the scared driver.
Holiday Inn Cody - Convention Center

I arrived at 10 o'clock that evening and set off early the next morning, so I didn't feel too deep about the hotel. The overall feeling was ok. There are gas stations and McDonald's nearby. It is worth mentioning that from Huangshi Lake to Cody Town, it is more than 90 miles. It is convenient to live in West Yellowstone, but the scenery to Cody is great.
Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Cody

We were stranded in Cody with car trouble for 4 days. But even with the circumstances of our stay being stressful, the staff at the hotel made our stay enjoyable. In particular, Chris spoiled my children by pulling out pool toys, making them hot chocolate, sharing fun things to do for our family while in Cody and in general being a friend to us. I cannot thank him and the rest of the staff for being so helpful and friendly to us during our visit.
Comfort Inn at Buffalo Bill Village Resort

Check in was quick and our room on the second floor was good sized , very clean and well lit. A/C worked very well and was quiet and we enjoyed the walk-in shower. There was no house keeping service during our stay (two nights), but we didn't mind. Parking can be a bit tight, since there are three different hotels (Holiday Inn and Buffalo Bill Village (log cabins)), but we found a place both nights. Breakfast is being served across the parking lot in a separate building (the Sasparilla Saloon) and had all the basics (you have to walk through a gift shop to get to the breakfast room). One issue we had is the fact that there is only one washer and dryer available for the whole hotel and we didn't finish our laundry until after midnight; the hotel needs to put more W/D in to accommodate their guests. Location to walk into Cody is great!
