I stayed at the Residence Inn in Moline for just 1 night while on a work trip. The location is easy to find and there are several restaurants nearby as well as a Walmart in case you forgot anything. My check in was seamless and while I didn't catch her name, the lady at the front desk who checked me in was so happy and friendly! I have stayed in many hotels, and she might have been the most pleasant hotel I have met in quite a while! My room was large, very clean, and had plenty of space for all of my work luggage. There was a well-stocked kitchenette, good sized sofa, dining table and work desk. The tv between the 'living room' and bed swivels to turn it either direction. The bathroom was very large as well. I was on the 2nd floor and had plenty of hot water and good water pressure. There was an indoor pool that looked nice as well as an outdoor firepit area with nice looking chairs. There was quite a bit of guests here during my stay and a few times it was a little noisy in the hallway, but it didn't last long, and I didn't really hear anybody after 9pm. The bed was comfortable, and the blackout curtains were nice. The free breakfast the next morning included real eggs, biscuits and gravy and plenty of chilled items and bagels, etc. I enjoyed my stay here and would gladly stay again in the future.

This Residence Inn wasn’t up to normal Residence Inn standards. Everything was a bit run down and dated. Nothing looked “fresh”, particularly clean or very modern. The shower was especially bad. Very little shower pressure, and I had to crank the hot water all the way up just to get a lukewarm shower. Then in the middle of my shower, the water pressure kept dropping even further and each time it did, the water got scalding hot. I got scalded and also ended up with shampoo in my eyes. One of the shelves in the shower had also been badly broken and poorly repaired. This was in room 214. We like it very cool at night, but this hotel prevents you from turning the temperature below 68. For us, that made for a very uncomfortable night sleep. So, bad shower, bad night’s sleep. Not really what we’re paying good money for. The location was fine and the staff members we encountered were very pleasant. Overall, we’re probably being generous with three stars. Can’t recommend. -The PowerTrippers

Steer clear!!! WOW--this place has gone downhill and is showing its age and lack of maintenance. Not sure where to start. Let's start with what you see when you arrive...Every entrance is full and I mean full of spider webs and spiders of course. Looks like they have never been pressure washed or swept or anything for years. Come October they are ready for Halloween for sure. Then when you enter, you will find an abandoned front desk until someone wakes up and comes out with an attitude of, "hey, I was sleeping, what do you want?" This "I don't care attitude" goes thru the whole hotel staff. So after you do check in which takes a long time, look at the hallway carpet that has holes in it and looks like crap. And the inside just stinks like dirty laundry and burned pizza. You know you just signed up for something special but hey, you have reservations and you don't want to hunt for a hotel now. Ah, the room...what a treat awaits you. First the stink. Did people burn pizza in every room??? The kitchen was filthy. Counters gritty and sticky. Oven top was greasy and of course, pizza toppings splattered on the refrigerator next to it! Wow, just screams Marriot, right? OK, now after you get your shoe back on after it stuck to the kitchen floor you open the curtains to get a bit of light in and look outside. Don't bother. Window sills FULL of spider webs and spider webs in between the windows and screens along with the spiders! So authentic!!! There is NO ice machine and if you go the front desk and ask for ice, they direct you to a cooler with 1 gallon ziploc bags of ice. Seriously. After sleeping terrible because of how you just got screwed be Marriot you are ready to leave. Be careful, the lawn sprinklers go off in the morning and literally water all the cars in the parking lot and the entry / exit door to the hotel!!! I had to take a trashcan next to the door to cover the sprinkler so we could load our car! To be fair, the best part was the lady who fixes the breakfast. She was really nice and the food was fresh and good but not worth all the spider bites and filth. Marriot, you should be ashamed of this dump. I hope this review keeps people from staying with you and saves them the same horrible experience we had. I also will be contacting the health department regarding the filth as I cannot imagine there are no health violations. Room 118.

Absolutely a great place to stay. The room was very comfortable and well maintained. I was very pleased with the breakfast. It wasn't crowded like most places. The staff was exceptionally helpful. We forgot a couple things in the room and the staff was helpful in my retrieving them. Only one suggestion for management was that there was not a privacy door hanger. I saw this was missing in other hotels on our trip so maybe it is a trend.
