Just under 10 minutes from Fairlie, 40 min from Lake Tekapo and only 1.5 hr from MT Cook, is our super cute historic Farmers cottage.Watch and pet our friendly animals from the cottage and experience some of the best star gazing in New Zealand from our beautiful hot tub.During your stay we offer a free animal tour of 1 hour, whereby you will visit some of our friendly animals incl bottle feeding our pet lambs (Aug-Dec), an Alpaca walk 🦙, and our friendly horses, cats, dogs and chickens 🥰The spaceYou will have the complete cottage to yourself🌻It offers a lovely open plan layout with all the bedrooms opening up to the lounge with a huge, and very functional, wood burner.Collect your own eggs each morning and while cooking you can watch the alpacas and sheep whilst chatting with your family and friends by the fire or at the macrocarpa dining table.There is a private deck of the kitchen and a cute little loft for even better views over the paddocks towards Mt Dobson and the other peaks.Your private hot tub will always be on and ready for you at any time of the day both winter and summer. We do recommend a night session when the skies are clear. "The room was clean and tidy, with a microwave refrigerator and parking at the door. Very quiet town, it is really the road that does not pick up the dead night. The office is across the road, and there is a sign at the office door with the name and room number. Just go directly to the corresponding room and push the door. The key and the note that wrote the wifi password are on the table, and the check-out is also the key to insert the door. The blow is that the small garden behind can directly see the mt dobson snow mountain. It takes half an hour to go to tekapo, and there are supermarkets and net red pie shops in four minutes. You can eat the most famous salmon pie."

"It was almost the most unexpected surprise of my trip to New Zealand. It was my first time staying in a motel. It was surprisingly clean. It had two bedrooms, which was basically the standard of a homestay. Parking was very convenient at the door. Check-in and check-out were based on trust. I met the boss, who was a very nice person. I regretted not staying here for two more days. It was my favorite hotel on this trip.
There is no scenery nearby, it is very life-like. It takes about half an hour to drive to the lake to soak in the hot springs. Overall, it is very cost-effective."

"Although it is 15 kilometers from the well-known Tekapo, it only takes ten minutes to drive. Although the Burkes pass is really a small, very old, almost no-village country, it is really quiet, only your breath is quiet. It’s a wilderness in the wilderness. If you are lucky and have not encountered a cloudy day, then your stargazing experience must greatly exceed Tekapo!"

"The house is completely beyond expectations, the room layout is very warm, and the kitchen is equipped with a luxury level, everything! Enjoying cooking by yourself. The key is that the starry sky in the mountains is so beautiful that it explodes. Unless you have to shoot the starry sky in the Shepherd's Church, you don't have to go through the night at all. That starry sky will be unforgettable for life! I encountered a 12-level strong wind that blew off the TV pole that day, and the repair personnel could not do it in a short time. The owner took the children and the family to help them get the generator. Thank you very much for their efforts. By the way, many small hares can be seen around the house at night and in the morning."
