Attended a funeral lunch here in last week and sad as the occasion was, the meal was first class. Fish cooked to perfection which rarely happens in a large group setting. All piping hot and great portions. Had not been here before but its now on our dining radar

Another great stay, excellent room comfortable bed, fluffy towels and nice elemis products. Dinner was the most delicious chicken curry, prob the best one I've eaten anywhere in years

Just home from a wonderful weekend in Minella hotel. I had told reservations on booking that it was my sister’s birthday so on arrival complimentary coffee and cake with “Happy Birthday” were sent to our room. That evening we had a great meal in the bar and again we were served complimentary coffe and desert! The staff went out of their way to make our stay so memorable. Would highly recommend this hotel. It is a family run establishment but run in very professional way.

Went to this hotel for a Sunday lunch with my family, terrible some of the worst food I have ever had, 1 hour delay between starter and been served our main course despite the restaurant been well resourced with waiting staff the restaurant manager was too busy conversing with her friend's dining in the restaurant rather than managing. The food served up was lukewarm and poorly cooked. When we pointed this out to the waiting staff, we received a standard half hearted apology and a shrug of the shoulders! we were not looking for any discount & let me say none was offered which would have tempered somewhat this terrible terrible experience, never again. Should you read this review think twice about going to dine in this establishment.

I am writing this review after spending two nights at the Minella Hotel around the middle of July with my family. I would like to take this opportunity to bestow the highest praise conceivable upon the establishment plus the owners John and Liz. From the moment you cross the threshold you are treated like royalty and the staff leave no stone unturned to make your stay a truly memorable one. The bedrooms are unbelievably comfortable and homely and the buffet breakfast is sufficient to feed an army. The owners play a very active and visible role in the everyday functioning of the Minella and it shows. It's located minutes from the centre of Clonmel in a beautiful and tranquil location with little or no noise to disturb your night's sleep. I would't hesitate to stay there again and would highly recommend any prospective guests to give to very serious consideration. You won't regret it.

Another fantastic visit to hotel Minella. Great spacious well appointed rooms - tea and cake on arrival… Location quiet - rooms are well away from wedding venue areas - other locations in Clonmel not so well designed Sports complex with pool fantastic Friendly and helpful staff Best bit is the food! Great breakfast and consistently good bar food.

If you want a 4 star experience, Hotel Minella, Clonmel is the place to go. From the moment you turn in the front gate, you can immediately tell that it's run by a family who have a love for hospitality. The gardens are impeccably kept and look out onto the River Suir. The staff are extremely polite,friendly and well-trained. There are several dining rooms but Jack's Bar is my favourite, with it's floor to ceiling glass windows giving you a spectacular view of the gardens. The dinner menu and the bar menu cater to everyone's taste and the food is always consistent and of a very high quality. We were utterly blown away to be upgraded to a suite when the owners discovered it was our wedding anniversary. The very spacious room has stunning views of the garden, a jacuzzi bath, super comfortable bed and a balcony with a hot tub! We received another surprise when we were sent a welcome tray with champagne and freshly made cookies,delicious! It truly was the ultimate experience for a special occasion. The success of the hotel is due to the hard work and dedication of Liz and John who are always on site. Their personal touch and attention to detail is the key to this very special hotel. Breda.

When a need is met before I realise I need it is when I get that "super service" lift. This happened when checking in at the Minella. Staff here are on top of their game right through out the hotel. Everything about our stay was just right. There is a lovely genuine uniquely Irish vibe here. It's wonderful and is hall marked by the best cup of tea ever.
