For the price of 23,000 yuan per night, I felt that the hotel had been open for a long time at first, and I was afraid that the facilities were aging. But I couldn't resist my love for the Rosewood, and I drove back and forth for five hours to check in. It takes 20 minutes to drive from the door to the front desk. It's really a big area. Before I got to the front desk, someone greeted me and moved my luggage to the parking lot (our car was very dirty, so we relied on snacks on the long journey). You will be taken on a tour before checking in, but the suite room is not particularly large. There was a small party before dinner, and drinks were free, as well as lamb and olive snacks. Someone entertained us and introduced other activities in the hotel. The dining area has an invincible glass window and sunset. Although there are only 4 dishes, it is not very rich, but the product should be the best in New Zealand. The breakfast Benedict eggs are also delicious. The main thing is that we checked out and picked up the car, and the rental car was also cleaned up, and there was a small note. Thank you so much, warm and in a good mood for the whole year (must go again)

Beautiful location with poor service and low standards. We approached our stay at Rosewood Cape Kidnappers with true enthusiasm as we were confident with it being a Rosewood property, the service would be up to the standards a 5 star hotel would have. We have stayed at many Rosewood properties over the years and we are so disappointed with our experience at Cape Kidnappers. The service was well below acceptable. While the staff was nice and polite, they missed the mark on so many instances. I had to request cleaning supplies for my entire 3 day stay for the fitness center. Not once was my request fulfilled and upon visiting the front desk for a 3rd day in a row the front desk employee said she requested supplies 4 times that day. I asked for the staff to turn on the AC in the gym 3 days in a row with no success. I made a request for extra washcloths the first evening we arrived. It took 3 requests and 2 days to fulfill that request. We were struggling with the meals specifically dinner. I met only the final day with the food and beverage manager and asked him what the best plan was. I mentioned we would be happy to give him our order well in advance and he would therefore be able to have the food coursed out and served in a timely manner. He was quite happy with that idea and I gave him the order by 4 pm that day (he requested by 6 pm) Dinner was unacceptable in terms of timing. We sat there for over 2 hours and the food was incredibly slow. I made it very clear that my husband eats a lot of food and he said not to worry he will make a note to give him larger portions of food. His salmon came out and it was a 2 inch piece of salmon. The F&b manager was so busy we didn’t even have an opportunity to tell him how unacceptable it was. The staff is quite aware of all of the issues we had. They even overcharged us for a meal and sent a follow up email to give us a credit. Rosewood properties would be quite disappointed if they saw how dysfunctional the hotel was operating. Unfortunately we will not be coming back to Cape Kidnappers. Rosewood owes its brand a higher level of standard and should pay attention to what is going on and make it right for its (future) customers. Until then, I would recommend staying far away.

We had high expectations coming into our 3-night stay at the resort and for the most part all was great. The property is stunning, the restaurant is great, the golf course is world-class, and the staff is attentive, professional, and caring. And while all the common areas were spectacular, the guest rooms themselves were disappointing and definitely in need of a facelift as I doubt they have changed from when the resort opened more than 20 years ago. If the rooms were up to the standard of the rest of the property I would definitely have given the resort the top rating.

Fantastic hotel on a beautiful piece of property. The staff was excellent and the food was one of the best we have ever had at a hotel. We did the property tour on the Canam which was great. We also did the sheep sheering and herding which was so interesting. Gary was so much fun

We stayed for 4 nights at a Ridge Suite that had a fireplace and bigger than the Hilltop Suite. I wished the water pressure in the shower was a bit stronger. Other than that, we had a great time. Big shout out to staff especially the kitchen team who made delicious meals during our stay. Highly recommend this place and hope to come back again.

If you ever get a chance to visit The Farm at Cape Kidnappers, do not hesitate. The property is absolutely stunning. Perched atop the cliffs, you feel immediately relaxed, immersed in nature, and in constant awe of the views surrounding you. The lodge itself is luxurious, and every single detail has been thought out. The staff are impeccable and make you feel like family. The all inclusive meals were delicious and rival anything I've had at the best restaurants in New Zealand. If you enjoy wine tasting, and golf - this is the perfect getaway for you. The golf course is one of the best in the world and meticulously maintained. And right on the property. Non-golfers have plenty to keep them busy with other activities and tours. There are tons of wineries in the area that are easy to get to and the wines are world class. My husband and I cannot wait to come back.

Every detail of our stay was wonderful. The staff was outstanding at all times, from scheduling activities to taking us up to the aviary at night to look for nocturnal species. The pre dinner cocktail hour was always fun and every dish at any meal was beautifully presented. We highly recommend the CanAm tour to see the beautiful property and enjoy the scenery.

We are in the midst of a 3 week trip in Nee Zealand and just finished a 3 day stay here. I can say that this is our most favorite place that we have ever stayed in our 30 years of travel. The location is overlooking Hawke’s Bay and is very picturesque. It is on a 6,000 acre working farm and has an amazing golf course. I am not a golfer but took a tour of the course just to see the scenery. I’m told that it is ranked in the top 20 courses in the world. The accommodations were first class as was the food and the service. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable and helpful. We hiked and explored the property on foot and on an ATV tour. The property is surrounded by a predator resistant fence that keeps out the animals that are harmful to native birds which has created the largest private sanctuary in New Zealand. If you are a bird watcher this is the place to be. We were able to see many endangered birds including a Kiwi. We were very sad to leave and hope to be able to go back again.
