Errismore House

We stayed for two nights as attending a local cycle event. Communication before arrival was quick, efficient and helpful. We had a double room and access to our own kitchen. The room has everything that we needed, comfy bed, warm water and fluffy towels that would put a 5* hotel to shame. The use of our own kitchen was very welcome. The location is perfect, close to everywhere we needed to go over the weekend. Parking is an issue as there was a large cycle event so Friday evening was a nightmare trying to find a free place as most spaces seem to be ticketed and the local free car park was jammed. Thank you for a great stay and we hopefully will return next year.

We stayed in apartment 3, with the main door round the corner. It was unsettling to find the room to the right of ours which we lived for the first 2 nights thinking was a broom cupboard with no markings turned out to be access to the apartment upstairs. The front door to our apartment was glass panel with no curtain. The window in the kitchen/ living area looked out into a quiet close but again no curtain/ blind. Every step could be heard from the upstairs apartment. Creaking underfoot and the sound of water rushing down the wall whenever their toilet was flushed. We put up with all this and then on night 3 while we lay in bed at 7AM we were treated to the boiler in the bedroom cupboard going off like a jackhammer while upstairs showered. The apartment is in poor condition generally with no care given to the appearance. Wallpaper peeling from the wall, broken ironing board. There is an old smell of damp running through the apartment, I thought smoke at one point. When times are hard and prices for accommodation are the way they are, really It is so poor for owners to expect to get by on the location alone. Unfortunately we paid in advance non-refundable and have had no response to our compensation request.
