We stayed in the lodge- main hotel was closed as it was off season (early April). Very comfortable and close to Clifden, easy drive up to Ballyconneely, Sky road loop and Kylemore Abbey. Friendly check in, felt extremely safe. Highly recommended for families or couples traveling together.

Lovely old world charm, with plenty of comfort. Our room had a wonderful view, soft sheets and a really good bed. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

We are travelling from Australia accordingly we had 2 normal sized suitcases, the hotel has no lift . We are placed on the second floor, the receptionist did offer to carry the suitcases up the 2 flights of stairs. The room is tiny, you cannot have one suitcase open and get around the room. It’s a case of you open the suitcase get what you need and close. There is no coffee machine in the room; instant coffee served in 2025? The internet keeps cutting out. The fixed price meal is 80 euro each, €160 a couple ($A286). We did not have the meal, we went into town. There is no fridge in the room. They do have fluffy towels. Breakfast is not served until 8:30.

The hotel is located just south of Clifden, perfect for visiting Connemara and the west coast of Galway. We stayed in the lodge, a snug and well-appointed bungalow with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, one of which is en-suite. Although the lodge is self-catering, we enjoyed the food in the hotel's restaurant, which was of a very high standard, served by very friendly staff. Will definitely return.

Absolute gem of a hotel. Couldn’t recommend more highly. Great public areas - restaurant , bar, lounges etc extremely well presented and the most amazing views out over a large inlet from the Atlantic. Rooms likewise and seem to be very recently fully refurbished . All immaculately clean. Staff very friendly and helpful . Food in the restaurant really the best to be found anywhere . Very relaxed atmosphere throughout. Lovely quiet location just 2km south of Clifden so perfectly located for exploring all of Connemara, the Wild Atlantic Way etc etc

Very nice property with pleasant staff and nice breakfast. Beautiful views from room and sitting room. Plenty of parking.
