Needed a serious lie down in nice surroundings. Lovely three-day stay. Staff lovely and attentive and ensure that you have everything you need. In particular, thanks to Kai and Stephanie. Beautiful grounds, lovely rooms with very comfortable beds. Just what the doctor ordered!

Came here as a treat to celebrate my friend’s birthday (was in April, took us a while to get around to booking) The hotel looked wonderful and majestic. There were only a couple of other ‘couples’ having afternoon tea so the large dinning room we were sat down in to have ours, felt less than intimate. I wonder if they have a smaller room with armchairs that could be used. Lovely selection of teas although served in very utilitarian tea pots. On the whole the food was scrummy and looked lovely, except for the scones which managed to be both slightly burnt on outside but oddly undercooked inside. When this was pointed out fresh ones were baked for us which we appreciated. The service was faultless and despite things mentioned I felt it deserved the stars given.

The history of the country house dated back to the 19th century. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. We stayed for 2 nights and the experience was wonderful. We were greeted by the front desk at check in. He gave us a warm welcome and an introduction of the hotel and the vicinity. The breakfast at Conservatory Restaurant was excellent for both the food and environment. By the way, we were able to see rabbit, squirrel and deer in the hotel garden. They said that there were foxes too.

What a lovely, relaxing place! We stayed for 2 nights in an Executive Room for a family wedding Upon arrival we were able go check in an hour before the standard time (3pm) which was brill. We dropped our bags in the room- spacious with a super large bed, well stocked fridge (fresh milk which was nice) and large bathroom with both bath and shower. We then popped to the bar to wait for family members to arrive. We had a couple of beers which were priced ok for the area and a 4* hotel (around £6) and were given some complimentary nibbles which was a nice touch. The wedding we attended was amazing and throughout our stay the staff were brilliant. The breakfast we had each morning was excellent- full English which was cooked to order on the first morning and avocado and poached eggs on the second- both cooked exactly to my liking and toast and coffee on tap. Really would recommend this place- for an event or a weekend away.

We have stayed at this hotel twice now, and enjoyed our stay on both occasions, the staff from start to finish are so friendly, and extremely helpful. Dinner and breakfast are very well cooked, well presented, and the staff are very accommodating if you have allergies.

Wonderful stay last week. We love Handpicked hotels and Audleys Wood lived up to their standards. All the staff are the real asset of the hotel, from reception to housekeeping to f&b. Zoe at breakfast is fabulous and remembered our order each day. Great that some of the rooms provide 2 double beds. Lounge menu was really quite expensive, £22 for a pizza. We were very fortunate to have booked when their was food credit included. Would still highly recommend ☺️

Audleys Wood is a former manor house with an added hotel wing. Its attractive grounds, while not extensive, are secluded from nearby roadways. Ample free parking. The hotel itself is exceptionally well-maintained and very comfortable. Breakfast was as good as it gets. Our room cost $216 per night and worth it.

Our school held there school prom in the Garden Pavilion, it was all arranged with Christina who can I just say was amazing and very knowledgeable. Everything I asked for was ready upon my arrival and I could not find fault with anything, we choose the BBQ option and it was really good and all students and staff said how nice the food was. I can highly recommend Audleys Wood if you are looking at holding a function, I am already looking at booking our school for next year.
