Holiday Inn Express Cleveland Downtown Reviews

The bed was the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in. Our room was quiet and very clean, but the best part of our stay was the delicious complementary breakfast. We travel a lot and we always dread the free breakfast. They're usually stale doughnuts and weak coffee. The Holiday Inn Express, downtown Cleveland has a wonderful free breakfast buffet. Sausage gravy and biscuits, French toast, pancakes, pork sausage links, turkey sausage patties, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt, four kinds of juice, hot coffee, chocolate and white milk, toast, bagels, pastries and oatmeal. We will stay here whenever we're in Cleveland. We love this place!

Good location very old hotel

It's quite satisfactory, it's an older hotel, and the reception of the old lady is good. The size of the room is beyond expectations, relatively large. If you live on the top floor, the space should have a floor height of 4.5 meters, which feels very comfortable. Well, I live on the floor below and there is a little crawler on the floor and a little spider on the couch. Good shower.

It was a temporary decision and I chose this hotel. It is very good, the service is good, the location is also very good, the room is really big, and I can smell the familiar smell when I enter the hotel.

The room is spacious, comfortable and clean, the surrounding environment is convenient, there are all kinds of food nearby, and there are universities nearby, so there are students from all over the world, and the food and beverage are very good!

Cheap hotel, big room

酒店位置就在市中心，離機場也不是很遠，30 分鐘路程左右，所以交通非常便利。酒店內部的裝潢能看得出它曾經的輝煌，雖然不是非常新的酒店，但在市中心，能住這麼大房間，也是難得的。酒店服務很好，入住酒店都是免費送早餐的。早餐雖然提供的選項不是非常多，但能吃上早餐再去工作，還是比較舒服的。總體入住感覺不錯。

The hotel itself was okay, very average but was sold on luxury. It smelled horrible, like an old grandma or hot garbage every morning. Whoever our neighbors were constantly was having people in and out and standing in the hallways. We had a child with us and there were MANY women dressed risqué every morning in the lobby even though the area is very much so catered towards children. The room was very spacious but very dated. And the elevators are terrifying, very very dated, small and do not work properly at all. The staff seems okay, but like they don’t want to be there.. which i wouldn’t either if i had to sit in that smell all day.

Our stay was a late 18th birthday trip for my daughter. Our stay was ok. The only facility trouble i had was our toilet didnt flush correctly. You had to hold the handle down for a semi complete flush. Somethings that were good. The building is beautiful from a vintage prospective. The valet staff was amazing. They ran it like an oiled machine, however i think the cost per night was excessively high. One other issue, was the breakfast which was good but getting to the breakfast area was difficult to get too since i am disabled and once you get to the mezzanine level, you have to take a staircase down to the food area. I didnt ask if there was a better way but they were aware of my mobility issues because i use a cane or a walker.

The room was spacious and clean. The location was nice. The building is old and you can see its age everywhere you look. The cleanliness of the lobby area was lacking, with cigarette butts all over the floor. Not sure if they somehow blew in through the revolving door, but it was gross. To put it simply, breakfast was just not good. At all. We took a couple bites and threw it away. It wasn't a bad experience, because we slept well and didn't have to walk far, but we wouldn't choose this hotel again.

I loved that this property was right in downtown! Very clean and pretty building. Definitely recommend and plan to stay again in the future.

The experience was average at best. Nothing really bad per se, just a few inconveniences beginning with the valet. After checking in, we realized we needed to make a store run so, given that this hotel is valet only with no designated parking, we had to retrieve the car, which valet took 20 minutes to do, after turning them over 10 mins prior, because they misplaced our keys on an employee. The second issue being the room itself. Idk I just expected something more spacious, we stayed in a King bed room with a jetted tub and city view and it felt more like a small upscale motel room with a fancy bathtub. The decor didn’t match, the floors were like basketball hardwood which was odd to see but not a big deal. Not much furniture, just a chair with an ottoman and a desk and computer chair, which goes without saying in a 250 sq ft room with a king bed lol. Oh! And a very cheap bench like thing, which embarrassingly was so cheaply made that a friend of mine sat on and it broke under him. It was decently clean, could’ve been cleaner. Then when we checked out this morning, there were a mass of people in the lobby waiting for valet, because there was only one valet worker on a Saturday morning for some reason. Anyways, we ended up waiting almost an hour in the lobby with luggage because the valet was overwhelmed with not enough help. 3/5 and that’s generous because I liked the view and the structure of the building was really really nice.

The breakfast was a joke. Very overcooked food and multiple un stocked items. The jetted tub in my room was insanely loud and vibrated the floors and ceiling of the adjoining rooms. I asked the other patrons. No smart tv’s at all with no access to streaming apps outside of the electronic devices you bring yourself. WiFi is very spotty and slow. Out of the four 100yr old elevators they have only two were even in working conditions. Would not recommend outside the location is awesome for other places to drink eat and hang out in a very close proximity to the hotel.

Earl check in allowed. Friendly staff. Great location. Common areas a little dingy, but room was large and spruced up. Overall very nice.
