We booked a normal suite, but during Check in there seemed to be a problem, we have been asked if we have booked a "suite historique" (which we didnt) and the receptionist already indicated it might not be ideal. But as it seemed for whatever reason we had been assigned a suite historique (room 311) although we did not book one. The room was under the roof, so me and my pregnant wife had to watch out for our heads because we are tall people. It was also very old fashioned. When I went back to the reception fortunately a solution could be found as there was another available room in the other building (hotel was officially fully booked). It cost us 15 Euros more than in our initial reservation, in my opinion the hotel management could have just asked us the same price as a commercial gesture (the new room was only available at 16:30) due to the inconvenience caused. We were offered a voucher for a drink at the bar though and the staff was friendly and helpful. The new room (Suite Number 12) was perfect, clean spacious and nicely equipped. Only the bed mattrass should be replaced soon in my opinion (for me it was too soft, as i have back problems i am a bit sensible though). We had booked half pension, the dinner was very nice, also the location. Only (slight) disappointment was that we had to not only pay for our drinks but also a complementary amount because appearantly the price of the menu which we booked in advance had changed in the meantime. I thought that was a bit unusual. I would come back though but i would definitely insist on not booking a "suite historique" in order to avoid any misunderstandings. The suite historique 311 is in my opinion not worth being called a "suite".

I have booked a suite to offer to my family a great experience at your hotel, taking as reference past stays I had there. However the quality of the room and the service was not at the expected level. The room was not prepared for 3 people (missing bathrobe, towels, sleepers), it was cold with limited adjustment in the heating system and the auxiliary bed had no blanket at all. When we tried to call the reception the phones did not work and when the room service came, the person only brought from linen but not blankets. The breakfast was crowded, and despite your team tried to refill it soon, many basic things were missed: small spoons for example. Very disappointed.

We arrived around 4PM on time for the check in, but finding the reception wasn’t easy at all. Neither was the parking, when we finally found their backside parking garage no one opened the gates for us. No one was answering the phone either. My partner had to walk to the reception to ask them to open the gates. While we were standing in front of the gates still, more cars came and were waiting because the streets only fit one car. Finally parked the car, walked with out stuff to the reception and checked in. Hotel is a little bit of an Labyrinth too. Our rooms looked nice and big, we had 2 suite. In our room the curtains had really big holes so anyone could watch through. We had only 2 hangers for our jackets. The bed sheets were straight up terrible. In our room we had 1 smaller sheet over the mattress what was always slipping of so we were partly sleeping on the mattress. The big pillows were stuffed into a smaller pillow case what was very uncomfortable. We literally had to buy bedsheets because after asking room service they couldn’t help us. In the other room was some Plastik sheet over the mattress so I don’t know what was more comfortable. No sheet or plastic. I tried at least 20x to reach the reception one room service over their phone but no one answered or called back. The baths were clean and ok ok, there was just not really space to place stuff or the sinks. But we got fresh towels everyday was was also ok. The breakfast wasn’t really good either but we arrived late at 9:30 and breakfast is until 10. 20€ for it isn’t worth it. Spa was ok, swimming pool was always full the saunas were good too. Booked a massage, it was good. The wifi was working good. We had 3 tvs in our room but no remote was working. Also the cleaning people took our room card what was left inside the card holder for electricity, 😅 so we only had 1 card left

In theory all good, but for a boutique hotel the breakfast in that huge room without windows together with a mass of people and long queues at all stands destroyed really the whole experience... :-(

It was our second stay at Le Clervaux Boutique Hotel. This time the check-in was confusing as the reception is located at Koener Hotel. We received some misleading directions how to find our room and had to run back and forward in the rain. Restaurants ... despite initial guidance by staff, Rhino Sports Bar was closed during all days (Th, Fr). Later we were informed that it is closed for time being ... the label on the entrance tells abut exceptional closure that day! When enquired about another restaurant attached to the hotel (Italian restaurant) we were told that they don't know as it doesn't belong to the group running the two hotels. Finding a breakfast room was a challenge, the facility is unusually large, a quiet music would made it much more comfortable. The breakfast selection itself was rather disappointing for a 4 star hotel. The Brasserie restaurant is located next to the reception and has quite boring setup in the adjacent building made of glass. Room service replenished a coffee capsules to decaf only ... no new tea bag was added. The Spa is nothing special, there were two minors playing ball in the pool and making quite some noise. Despite these disappointments, our room (suite) was clean and comfortable. BTW, no questions like "how was your stay" at check-out.

Extremely welcoming staff; great rooms and good spa. We enjoyed the massage and spa. We did not have dinner at the hotel but it looked really good.

Le Clerveaux is a very nice hotel with spacious suites in a lovely village. The hotel shares its breakfast space and spa with the adjacent Koener hotel, which reduces the appeal as the Koener is much larger and caters for a different clientele. Breakfast buffet was adequate but average. Sadly the Excellence Group as they call themselves have some work to do to make a stay truly excellent. It is not OK to run out of tonic for G&Ts especially when the sister venue opposite has plenty of tonic. It is also not OK to have bed sheets that are too small for the bed so they don't actually cover the bed.
