The hotel is located near a large hospital , not too far from the centre . A paying parking is located nearby , as well as a nice cooking store making the breakfast we prefer to the cheaper hotel in a sweet environment . We will certainly return to it when we pass through this city. However, the hospital in front can receive on its roof helicopters of emergency services , in this case it can not be very noisy even if the insonorization evaporates much of the noise.

The hotel is very good and very comfortable. In addition to the very smile and sympathetic staff, this hotel is especially well located: at the exit of the motorway (but no noise at all) and near a full of varied restaurants (there is for all tastes!) and even next to a LIDL. The room for 5 was very well-planned and was very clean.

L'accueil est toujours super et les chambres sont très sympas vu le tarif. Le petit-déjeuner est très copieux. L'emplacement est très calme et bien situé dans Clermont-Ferrand. Je recommande donc cet hôtel.

GGuest UserPoints + : - There is a very interesting geographic location to be both near the city centre walking (or by the tram right down the hotel) and at the same time accessible by car. - The accessibility from the motorway is very rapid. The hotel offers a very comfortable room and a very comfortable room. - spacious bathroom with bathroom. Points - : - the cost of breakfast is quite high (€12) compared to what is offered. But for a free buffet service it is unfortunately in the current costs. - the cost of parking is also high if you don't have not the chance to find a place on long-term parking ...

GGuest UserJe suis descendue dans cet hôtel et j’avais bon espoir car tout semblait simple: resa ok, parking à côté ok, proximité du lieu de travail ok. Mais…car oui, il y a un mais. Personnel d’accueil surchargé et préférant s’occuper d’un groupe plutôt que d’une personne seule. L’odeur en entrant dans la chambre est immonde. 28 degrés dans la chambre et pas de climatisation ou aération -＞ j’ai contacté la réception et il m’a été répondu que l’hôtel n’a pas de climatisation car il a un eco label et que je n’ai qu’à ouvrir la fenêtre. Il m’est dit qu’il y a une tour de ventilation dans le placard. Là je rigole et ironise: ecolabel mais l’électricité pour le ventilateur c’est écologique ça ??! J’ajoute que la fenêtre ouverte, c’est infernal ! Bruit jusqu’à 3h du matin et à 5h odeurs et bruit de nouveau. Pour finir, le petit déjeuner. Un monde fou et des gens entassés…dont des gens qui toussent. J’indique à la personne de l’accueil qui tel un cerbère m’avait demandé sans ménagement mon numéro de chambre, que vu le monde, je vais prendre mon petit déjeuner dans ma chambre. Elle m’invective et me dit que je n’ai pas le droit…ce sont des appartements équipés d’une cuisine pourtant ! Je n’ai pas pris ce petit déjeuner car j’ai jugé que les conditions n’étaient pas assez sures par les temps qui courent. Pour info, j’ai regardé ce qu’il y a au petit déjeuner de proposé : café mauvaise machine, jus orange reconstitué, petits croissants gras, yaourts…peu de choix. En même temps, pas de rapprovisionnement puisque la personne en charge de ça est derrière le plexiglass et surveille les arrivants plutôt que faire son travail. Bref, une catastrophe. De 4 nuits, je n’en passerai que 2. Je vais ailleurs où je suis mieux reçue.

GGuest UserGreat stay travelling through France on way back from Spain. Great location just off motorway but didn’t hear the road once! Modern, clean and great staff including Halima on front desk. Now our new hotel each time we travel to Spain. Rooms are spacious and clean with Rituals toiletries!! Beds so comfy and food in hotel restaurant is amazing local fayre. Delicious filet steak and of course amazing wine!!

Front of house chap could have been a lot more helpful, we felt we were pumping him with questions which he should have been telling us before we asked. eg what to see in the local area and even a map. The room was ample with good views over the roof tops and cathedral but no fridge! No milk provided, we had to ask at the bar area but with no fridge was difficult to keep fresh for the morning Breakfast was very good with views over to the cathedral.(lovely fresh orange juice) Car park was under the hotel, our car was hit while parked there as very tight parking spaces but there is no CCTV. Some of this hotel was a BW Signature collection but not all.

GGuest UserAs I regularly travel through France, my overnight stays have been in quite different hotels. The Campanile hotel in Clermont Ferrand will remain one of the favorites, especially when travelling on a Sunday, when restaurants in rural areas close for the evening. The rooms are efficient, but comfortable with modern bathrooms and perfectly clean. Optionally, a reasonable self service breakfast can be ordered. Reception staff are friendly. The common areas include an outside terrace (don’t have high expectations of the view), a TV lounge area and a bar. The hotel has a large, secure underground car park, which is great when travelling with a fully loaded car. From the autoroute to the hotel takes appr 10 minutes Last but not least, the tram, with a stop in front of the hotel, takes less than 15 minutes to the city center with many restaurants open on a Sunday night.

Clean and comfortable perfect for a one night stopover. With helpful friendly staff who allowed us to chain our motorcycle to the column right outside the hotel doors under the security camera. We had originally booked a hotel in the centre but after finding out about the Crit Air charges in the larger French towns/cities (clean air zone) we cancelled it and booked this instead. It’s a 5 min walk to the tram stop which takes you right to the centre and is free on a weekend. Breakfast was decent and they also give you 10% discount voucher for the steakhouse next door which isn’t too bad.

SSunny-10091Quirky Ibis Styles Hotel. Good location for the station but about a 20-minute walk to the centre restaurants. Pre booked parking at an additional cost of 9.5 euros. Good secure car park at the rear of the hotel. Room and hotel has a quirky style. The breakfast area is very small and can be busy, but the lady is looking after it works very hard to keep clean and topped up with food. Young man, on reception, spoke good English. No Accor benefits, no welcome drink ( gold member ), and I had to contact Accor customer service to get loyalty points/night added to my account.
