Excellent séjour à la villa Volcano du 6 au 9 aout. Pour commencer, la situation : sur les hauteurs, avec une vue imprenable sur la ville et les environs. Très au calme. Et sur la bonne route pour aller vers les volcans d'Auvergne et Vulcania. Tout en restant proche de Clermont (10 min en voiture). Ensuite, tout dans cette maison est très qualitatif et très bien entretenu. C'est parfait. Quand il fait beau, on peut profiter du bon petit déjeuner en terrasse avec les autres hotes. Bref, nous recommandons à 100%

The hotel is located near a large hospital , not too far from the centre . A paying parking is located nearby , as well as a nice cooking store making the breakfast we prefer to the cheaper hotel in a sweet environment . We will certainly return to it when we pass through this city. However, the hospital in front can receive on its roof helicopters of emergency services , in this case it can not be very noisy even if the insonorization evaporates much of the noise.

L'accueil est toujours super et les chambres sont très sympas vu le tarif. Le petit-déjeuner est très copieux. L'emplacement est très calme et bien situé dans Clermont-Ferrand. Je recommande donc cet hôtel.

Solid Mercure in a great location if you need to be in the middle of the city. I was asked on check in if I wanted a larger room, or a smaller one on the quiet side of the hotel - I choose quiet and it was indeed calm and lovely. Room was still large - coffee maker and sparking water in the mini fridge.

GGuest UserJe suis descendue dans cet hôtel et j’avais bon espoir car tout semblait simple: resa ok, parking à côté ok, proximité du lieu de travail ok. Mais…car oui, il y a un mais. Personnel d’accueil surchargé et préférant s’occuper d’un groupe plutôt que d’une personne seule. L’odeur en entrant dans la chambre est immonde. 28 degrés dans la chambre et pas de climatisation ou aération -＞ j’ai contacté la réception et il m’a été répondu que l’hôtel n’a pas de climatisation car il a un eco label et que je n’ai qu’à ouvrir la fenêtre. Il m’est dit qu’il y a une tour de ventilation dans le placard. Là je rigole et ironise: ecolabel mais l’électricité pour le ventilateur c’est écologique ça ??! J’ajoute que la fenêtre ouverte, c’est infernal ! Bruit jusqu’à 3h du matin et à 5h odeurs et bruit de nouveau. Pour finir, le petit déjeuner. Un monde fou et des gens entassés…dont des gens qui toussent. J’indique à la personne de l’accueil qui tel un cerbère m’avait demandé sans ménagement mon numéro de chambre, que vu le monde, je vais prendre mon petit déjeuner dans ma chambre. Elle m’invective et me dit que je n’ai pas le droit…ce sont des appartements équipés d’une cuisine pourtant ! Je n’ai pas pris ce petit déjeuner car j’ai jugé que les conditions n’étaient pas assez sures par les temps qui courent. Pour info, j’ai regardé ce qu’il y a au petit déjeuner de proposé : café mauvaise machine, jus orange reconstitué, petits croissants gras, yaourts…peu de choix. En même temps, pas de rapprovisionnement puisque la personne en charge de ça est derrière le plexiglass et surveille les arrivants plutôt que faire son travail. Bref, une catastrophe. De 4 nuits, je n’en passerai que 2. Je vais ailleurs où je suis mieux reçue.

Stayed here twice on the way to Spain and the way back. Hotel was fantastic and staff were amazingly helpful. The hotel was very clean, rooms were modern and the gardens/ pool area were very good. Our daughter loved playing with all the outside games. Whilst we did not eat in the restaurant the food looked good. Our only criticism was at the night the bar service was extremely slow, however, staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend this hotel as a stop off point on the way to and from Spain, they also have three free basic (presume 7kw) electric charge points for cars and a load of Tesla chargers.

Front of house chap could have been a lot more helpful, we felt we were pumping him with questions which he should have been telling us before we asked. eg what to see in the local area and even a map. The room was ample with good views over the roof tops and cathedral but no fridge! No milk provided, we had to ask at the bar area but with no fridge was difficult to keep fresh for the morning Breakfast was very good with views over to the cathedral.(lovely fresh orange juice) Car park was under the hotel, our car was hit while parked there as very tight parking spaces but there is no CCTV. Some of this hotel was a BW Signature collection but not all.

GGuest UserL'emplacement de l hôtel est très bien, mais au niveau du premier étage (côté qui donne sur les feux rouges )il faudrait peut être changer les fenêtres pour ne plus entendre les véhicules qui s 'arrêtent et redémarre surtout à 7 h . Le petit déjeuner est très bien il y a de tout.Les chambres sont propres mais la douche avait des traces noires au niveau des joints. Il y a aussi un bruit de compteur ou ventilation, dans le couloir du premier étage qu'on entend dans les chambres . Heureusement le personnel est très agréable il y a toujours une personne pour vous répondre...le petit salon est très sympa et le bar restaurant et un vrai plus...Les réceptionnistes sont souriants et répondent à vos questions gentiment, la personne en service le soir est très gentil,il pose des questions pour savoir si vous passez un bon séjour. J'y retournerai mais peut être pas une chambre côté rue !

We stayed for one night and were glad to find that the hotel is only a 6-7 minute walk from the train station (and very easy to find). Check-in was simple, staff were all friendly, and we found our room no problem. Opening the door was more of a challenge - the key card seemed to work but the door itself was very heavy/stiff. However, once we were in, the room was small but perfectly formed, fine for a short stay but possibly a bit confined for a longer stay. The bed was comfortable, the wifi was good, the bathroom well-appointed. Everything was very clean. Our room was on the railway side of the building and the noise might bother some people, although it didn’t bother us. The breakfast buffet was excellent - tasty and good value for money, and we loved the eclectic design of the dining room. The outside terraces looked inviting, but we didn't get a chance to linger. The hotel is close enough to the city (15-20 mins walk) to allow for easy access to the old town. We'd definitely stay again.

Beautiful spacious room and very comfortable bedroom Petit salon d'accueil au style ancien Hôtel très lumineux avec loggia et terrasse aménagée à l'arrière, certainement très agréable l'été Joli choix de revues, le gestionnaire nous propose même un plan de la ville ! I am surprisingly surprised by the hotel's services, I strongly recommend it if you move to Clermont-Ferrand Most cheaper than ibis and company...

The location (just across from the station) is why we chose the hotel - (1) we arrived by train from Paris (2) next morning, we were able to take the train to Aulnat airport to pickup our car rental from Hertz. Staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms seemed unusually small (have stayed in many ibis styles properties elsewhere), but beds were comfortable and it was very quiet. Note to guests and hotel staff : there is a train (TER) running between Clermont Ferrand station and Vertaizon, which stops at Aulnat airport and makes for a quick (7 mins) and cost effective (1.5E ticket) airport transfer, which we did eventually take. The frequency is somewhat limited though, so if you can work with that timetable, its a better idea than expensive airport taxis. Just thought I should clarify this, as there seemed to be some confusion over this possibility.

Although I had booked a room, breakfast and parking package for two nights, on arrival I was asked whether I had booked a space in the hotel’s parking lot. No mention of this on the website! I was told that the hotel’s allotted spaces in the underground lot were full and I would have to find street parking! After touring the area in the rush hour this proved impossible. After much ado I was then told I could use their car park. I would have to find the entrance gate and ring reception for it to be opened. My phone could not do this. Eventually, a receptionist came with me to ring her colleague in order to open the gate.Totally bizarre. The entrance gate is very narrow and it would be easy to scratch your car. After a long journey from Montpellier, I could have done without this hassle and stress. That said, the hotel is good and I was recognised as a Platinum IHG member. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. My room was compact but fine. It is easy to walk into the very pleasant town centre. This was my second visit here but the new parking situation would sadly prevent me from staying again.
