We stayed at this hotel with our two dogs for two nights in October 2024. Our welcome was fine but it was immediately apparent on going up to our room that the hotel was a bit tired and in need of refurbishment, threadbare carpets etc. The room was clean and tidy although some black mound on the bottom of the shower was not desirable. The sash windows were the only way of cooling the room after a sunny day, and would not stay open. The first night we were the only people staying there so it was nice and quiet. Continental breakfast was passable until we found mould on the bread for the toast. The woman in charge explained it had been frozen, not sure how the mould had got there then. We were out all day and on return at 8-30 on a Friday night were greeted with a bar full of people, and a live band. The noise from our room was unacceptable, form the group playing doors banging people shouting, and the smoking area was right outside our window. We have a recording of the noise if anyone wants to hear it, we could hear every word of every song they were playing. Even turning the television up loud did not drown out the noise. One of us went down to the bar to complain but it was packed and the barman appeared very busy, so in the end we rang our friends we had been to see that day, and they told us to go there, which we did, leaving the hotel at approx. 10-00, with the party in full swing and one of the guests telling us it would ‘go on all night’. The next da we rang the hotel to tell them we had left the night before, which they did not seem to be aware of. All he would say was if we had complained at the time they would have moved us to another room. So at 10-00 on a Friday night with a packed bar we would have had to move all out cases, one of us uses a breathing machine, and two fogs to another room, while a raucous party was taking pa]lace. If they were aware of a loud party taking place why did they put us in a room above the bar, and you would have heard the music anywhere in the hotel. They would not consider a refund, the man we spoke was not there on the night, and we had no apology. In conclusion to a long n winded review this is not a hotel we would ever consider visiting again.

Parking was limited but there is street parking. Rooms were clean & had everything needed. Little bit noisy from the bar but to be expected. Staff very friendly. Didn’t stay for continental breakfast. Overall a great place for the price.

Loved the stay here (3 nights) very friendly and relaxed. Pets are welcome. Continental breakfast on offer, plenty to choose from. If you need any thing, nothing is too much trouble. Worth the money to stay here. Room was a decent size, bed so comfortable, the en suite was massive, could do with a towel rail in there, just a hook on the bathroom door. White crisp towels and bedding. Asked for a fan as its was very hot, definitely needed it. Might be good to have one in each room. Complimentary tea, coffee and water in the room. As we was there 3 nighrs it didnt get topped up as they dont bother you. You just have to ask. Everything was clean just some things outdated like the carpet on the stairs needs changing. Basic but ideal. Little pub on site also a beer garden. About 8 mins walk to beach. Book via the hotel for a better deal.

Amazing hotel Room was clean and extremely comfortable, bar was great with good beer and fair prices, dart board in the bar lead to a few very good nights in the hotel. Craig was really friendly and accommodating, always there to say hello and great company in the bar, cover band on our last night was a great end to the holiday. The bedroom and en-suite were both incredibly clean, the bed was really comfortable, and the hotel is only a short 10 minute walk from the sea front. Don’t have a single complaint and couldn’t recommend the hotel more
