The rooms and service was good at the hotel, but my credit card was charged an extra $200 dollars. Called them 3 times over a 3 week period. Guess what, never received a call back. Now I have to dispute the charge. So if you decide to stay here make sure you check your credit card!

This hotel is the best stay I have had in a long time! I will be returning. I enjoyed the proximity to Sedona for activities and trails. I also liked that Clarkdale has it's own expolore-able attractions. I thoroughly enjoyed the nearby Copper Museum and the panoramic views the hotel boasts. This hotel opened in July 2024 and it is so modern and has amazing amenities. When I walked into my room, I felt the luxury. The bathroom was expertly laid out. The attention to detail was exquisite even down to the mirror having an dimmable light in the perimeter. The entire room is so spacious. The bed was so comfy and perfect. I loved the two seating areas provided. I also was amazed by the views from my window. The Hopi artwork in my room was amazing to look at as well. I enjoyed the soundproofing that was done, because I didn't hear when other guests came and went or dropped things on the floor. They did have a luggage rack which made it easy to layout my suitcase to get organized. I liked that the parking was easy to access and it was easy to maneuver the parking lot as well. This hotel is also very affordable for my teacher budget and made my birthday trip all the more special.

I wish we would have had a better experience at Taawaki Inn. The building and its surroundings are a striking example of sustainable construction, which is clear to even a lay person upon entry to the lobby. The deliberate minimalist environment is also quite interesting, and is a welcome departure from most standard hotels of this classification. Where it fell short was the lack of attention to detail by the staff, and the lack of any amenities, aside from bathrobes in the rooms. The check in took nearly 45 minutes, even arriving at 3:30 PM. The hotel was pretty much completely empty. Empty parking lot, and only two other couples also trying to check in. There was only one front desk staff member, and he was clearly overwhelmed. I asked for a room facing east (looking out towards Sedona and the Tuzigoot National monument). He kept insisting that he had us down for room 226 (even rooms face the other way). Apparently he even gave our room keys to another person, whom he had to chase down to get them back. I finally asked to speak with the manager, a woman who proceeded to argue with me that they couldn’t move us, nor could they make an adjustment on the rate due to other online rates being advertised much lower, and the restaurant being closed. She finally relented and gave us room 215, which faced east and had the view we were looking for. In my opinion, a hotel that is clearly trying to cater to a crowd that appreciates attempts at sustainability should not make their guests check in experience so highly stressful. After the stressful check in, I was actually glad we were only staying one night. The hotel has a restaurant, but it was closed. I don’t know when it was going to reopen, but we paid over $200 for a room that didn’t include breakfast or any other amenities, aside from bathrobes. There is no pool, no hot tub, and really not much of anything else besides EV chargers and a few tables with fire pits on the eastern side. The hotel is only about five minutes to Cottonwood, which we ended up finding numerous high quality dining options. Check out Merkin Vineyards Hilltop Restaurant, as a great choice. All in all, I think this hotel needs to lower its rates until it can have adequate staff and a working restaurant. I also suggest them to adjust the rigidity of assigning rooms to guest before they arrive.

Wow, what a great find -- we needed to be close to Jerome, pet-friendly, and of course comfortable. Taawaki met all our needs and then some. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the facilities are beautiful. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, coffee, refrig, microwave - and even bath robes. The gift shop is a must see. Wonderful art. We're ready to book again for next year.
