Clark County Hotels with Bars

Some time ago we purchased a four night, five day ”update selling package” from The Elara from Hilton. I had to travel alone because my wife has been doctoring for what was believed to be a pinched nerve in her back. She was unable to walk without pain, and the doctors suggested it would be better if she didn't travel. I arrived in Vegas about 8:45 am, and got to the Elara at 9:15 am. Check in time is 4:00 pm, but luckily enough they had a One bedroom room open for me. Best check in experience we have ever had at that facility. I thought it was going to be a great time in Vegas. I had scheduled a time for a timeshare presentation at 10:30 am on Friday. Since I was alone, I went in on Thursday as asked if I could move it up to 8:30 am which they did. I was given a lanyard with a card on it, and was told there would be a group meeting at 8:30. I went to the meeting with about 20 other people. It lasted about 10 minutes, then salespeople went around and took the couples to a private meeting. I was the last one selected, and they asked me where my wife was. I told them of her health issues, and that she was unable to travel. I was told by the receptionist that I could not take the ”review meeting” since my wife was not with me. I told them of her health issues and after a few more minutes she came back and told me that it was illegal in the state of Nevada to allow me a solo meeting. Then the gal told me that she couldn't reach the sales manager, but he would call me soon. I said ”are you certain he will call me?” and she said oh yes, he always returns calls, and you will hear from him for certain before the end of the day. That never happened. In late afternoon I starting calling to find out what was going on. No one ever answered the phone. I called many times from Friday through Sunday and no one ever answered the phone or returned my call. They were not open Saturday or Sunday, I later found out. Starting another round of calls Monday, after I had already moved to a different, Embassy Suites Hotel also in Las Vegas. I bet I talked to 3 or 4 more people and finally I got to talk to a helpful person, name of Rose Marie. She told me that since I didn't listen to the timeshare presentation I had to pay $752.78 for my 4 night stay, less the $247.78 I had prepaid for the 4 day package. I told Rose Marie that I would not pay that price because if the sales manager would have called me back on Friday as I had been promised he would do, I would have been out of that room about 15 minutes after he called me, and moved to a more reasonable hotel. Rose Marie went back to her manager a few times, and I got the extra charge for the rental cut in half. $252.50 was the new amount that I had to pay. Better than double that price, but still 100% unreasonable based on what I had paid for the 4 day package. I thanked Rose Marie many times for doing a job that I was sorry she had to perform. This hotel is just a block off the *****. We were here for part business and part leisure. You can see the MGM from the Hampton Inn. The Knights hockey arena is across the street. The parking is covered and secured. The front desk staff were all smiling and checkin was quick and smooth, even though the hotel was bustling with business. The rooms were all squeaky clean, beds comfortable and hallways quiet at night. Free breakfast was lovely. Big shout out to MARJORIE, who was in charge of the breakfast area. She even came over to me at the table I was at by the business section to ask me if I wanted anymore food before breakfast closed. How attentive was that?! I’ll be enjoying the pool today as it will be about 85 degreees. If you want to save a few bucks by being off the ***** but close enough to walk to it, I Would definitely recommend this Hotel.

Like the hotel, it was huge. Don’t like the resort fee for $100.00 which includes absolutely nothing as far as the rides, shows, etc that the hotel has on its premises. Casino was decent sized. Be aware that it’s on the strip but not really within walking distance if all the other hotels on the strip

We went to the restaurant at the ****** for the prime rib special. For $13.95 we weren’t really expecting a lot. Well we were very surprised. It was a nice serving and seasoned just right. Our orders came in a reasonable time and everything was as we ordered it. The staff was friendly , courteous and attentive. Restaurant was old, but clean and it smelled fine - not smokey. We will definitely go back.

It is a pure hotel building, there is no ***, so it is very quiet. The farthest south hall from the convention center is only a 10-minute walk. It's a 10-minute taxi ride and a 20-minute walk from the ***** center. 15 minutes drive from the airport. Breakfast has fixed varieties every day. Scrambled eggs sausage bread milk cereal fruit. It is a very suitable hotel for business travel, but the only terrible thing is that it can't even connect to the wifi😅, and the hotel staff can't connect to various operations... a fly in the ointment!

There is no free breakfast, except for boiled water, all of which can only be paid for by themselves. The parking lot does not seem to be free because we did not rent a car and did not book before we arrived in Las Vegas. Finally, we found that the price was not worth the price compared to the environment. Far worse than I expected.

Location as expected--off strip with long walk (during daylight if others along streets), monorail at Westgate, or uber--with no other stores or restaurants nearby. Daily parking fee, which is becoming more common in LV with Westgate now an exception. Small room divided into living and sleeping areas was clean and bed comfortable. Small part of window opens. A little light around blackout curtains. HVAC and refrigerator noisy but bearable. Glad to have microwave, frig, and coffeemaker. Nothing on at convention center so no noise from there. On high floor so no noise from main building HVAC below. WHY are more hotels putting in frosted glass doors to bathrooms? Both to shower and toilet rooms here. NO PRIVACY. LIGHTS UP BEDROOM AT NIGHT. I would not share with a roommate or parents and older children. Staff friendly. Nice breakfast.

The suite has good soundproofing in the building. It is close to the Las Vegas Convention and Exhibition Center. It takes a few minutes to walk. The breakfast is pretty good among foreign hotels and the service is very good.

I had a very nice week here recently. The room is basic …..a bed and a chair so don’t expect Caesar’s Palace. But I just slept here and the bed was comfy. Enjoyed the mini fridge and microwave. Perfect TV and Wi-Fi. Good tasting breakfast with very nice servers with smiles on their faces. Nice front desk staff who were super helpful. Just ten minutes from the action on the Strip. Quiet and comfortable and a good place to hang out at night after busy sightseeing days. Only four floors, so no need to walk a mile to your room. It was a perfect place for a week exploring the Strip.

It's okay. Some rooms are a lot older than others. Service needs some work. We stayed at the JW Marriott in Las Vegas over Thanksgiving in November. I booked a studio suite and I requested an upgrade through Marriott using my suite upgrade allocation. It should have put me in a one bedroom. The day before I arrived, I received an email telling me I could upgrade to a one bedroom for $60 per night. I replied back that I had requested the upgrade using my suite nights allocation. They should be able to confirm it at no cost. I did not receive a reply. When I arrived at the hotel, they tried to tell me that I needed to pay them $60 per night for my existing room. They then determined this was incorrect. When they gave me the room key, they told me that they had used my suite upgrade. I went to the room only to find that it was the studio suite that I had originally booked. I went back to the desk where they figured out that I should be in a one bedroom. They checked me in again and sent me to a different tower. It was a one bedroom. The suite was large but definitely worn and dated. It was clean but the room had no personality. The food at the hotel is just not great. We ate at their coffee shop twice. The iced tea was horrible. It was from a tap. The food was sub par. If you stay at this hotel, use delivery or go out to eat.
