It was the most beautiful stay we've had so far! The castle is right next to the hotel and they do a tour every night at 6:20. It has been one of the best castle tours we have been on an Ireland! The food is just as good as the view. It is also a wonderful jumping off point to see there aran islands. Words don't do it justice, go see it for yourself!

Third generation owner's Declan and Cecilia O’Callaghan welcomed us to Ballinalacken Castle Country House with open arms. For two days in August, we enjoyed the charm and hospitality of this seaside retreat. The most breathtaking of vistas and bustling beds of wildflowers frame this beautiful space. Enjoy a delicious Irish breakfast close to Burren, cliffs, and pubs filled with traditional music. You must not skip this Doolin treasure.

We did not actually stay at Ballinalacken but the owner, Declan, was extremely helpful to us late one night when we could not find our airbnb. He was actually kind enough to lead two very tired and lost travelers to the street we needed to set us in the right direction. We feel sure that he would be a very gracious and accomodating host at the castle! We drove to the grounds of the castle the next day and it is an incredibly beautiful setting! We hope to have the opportunity to stay there if we make it to Ireland again!

We got married in Ireland and Doolin was our last stop in Ireland. We really enjoyed this inn. We had the suite all the way on the end which had a fabulous view of the cliffs of Mohler. I’m a very light sleeper and it was so quiet here at night. We did have dinner there one night and it was delicious. Breakfast was delicious as well! We enjoyed the bar area and enjoyed talking with the staff. It was nice to be a little out from the town of Doolin but only a 5 minute drive.

The ambience and service are unmatched. The owners are committed to their clients in all things! The breakfast is delicious snd the pub is cozy. The rooms are comfortable and the view from our window was stunning with the Cliffs of Moher in the distance. We stayed here on two separate trips in one year and it is worth it! When I asked my husband his #1 thing to do in Ireland on our trip back with the kids, he said the Cliffs of Moher and stay at Ballinalacken Castle Country House Hotel !

We stayed here for one night--great place to stay and enjoyed the family run ambience and the tour of the castle. Dinner was probably the best we had in Ireland--The waiter--the son whose name I've forgotten-- was brilliant and the food exquisite. Thoroughly recommended on every level.

An amazing place, from the beautiful rooms (we had the superior rooms) to the breakfast, area and view! The drive to the hotel was quite the country experience! Wish we could’ve stayed longer to relax and experience the beautiful countryside!

This place is amazing. The staff are so friendly, the hotel and grounds are gorgeous, the food excellent. You can see the ocean/bay and the Cliffs of Moher from the hotel on a clear day. They have their own small castle next to the hotel and offer daily tours to see it. Highly recommend!!

The hotel building itself dates to the 1800s. The castle is close by on the grounds. The owner offers a tour pretty much every night at 6:30pm. The hotel is a short driving distance from Doolin. The setting is quiet and very scenic. The room was clean and quiet.
