There are not many basic facilities in the hotel. There are no slippers, conditioner or toothbrush. The hair dryer is designed in the drawer and cannot be moved. It is very hard to blow dry your hair every time. The hotel breakfast is very simple and not worth eating

Arrived up from Cork slightly late for 7pm reunion dinner. First impressions when I walked in the door very good, checked in with full payment taken which was fine. Left my overnight case in the room and heard a noisy fan which I would check out later. Arrived to dining room to reconnect with lads I have not seen for many years. They were all seated and had placed their orders. Dining staff were very attentive to me and I placed my order with them. Food was excellent with a delay between courses which was understandable as a busy hotel with another function and restaurant to cater for. Returned to my room after midnight to unpack and investigate fan noise. I did not see a wall controller for a fan coil unit which I could switch off. Discovered room was space heated by a radiator with natural ventilation (i.e. no cooling). Behind a non see through curtain I noticed the window was partially open which I closed. The noise level was at an unacceptable level continuous throughout the night that I was unable to sleep. I was trying to figure out why noise was continuous from HVAC equipment in a hotel setting and all I could think of did someone leave on a kitchen extract hood exhaust fan, was it external DX refrigeration equipment serving a Kitchen Cold Room(s)/fridges to maintain required internal temperatures or a chiller? Anyway I would check out during daylight. I tried to sleep in the en-suite with the door shut but the noise level was unacceptable even there. So I just stayed awake and when daylight broke I discovered understandably I was unable to open the window fully to go on to the flat room and determine the noise source. Looking out the window I did see a double stacked supply/extract AHU on the left side, a number of DX condensers straight ahead with some fan units to the left of them. Went down for breakfast saw a guy clearing tables gave him my room number and helped myself to orange juice and Alpen which was lovely and joined some former class mates at their table. Would have loved tea and toast but there seemed to be nobody around to ask. Returned to my room made tea and went to a reunion morning presentations with some hobnob biscuits I had brought with me. At about 11am we had a presentation break and at this stage I became shattered with tiredness and returned to my room and whatever about continuous fan noise I just lay down on the bed resting till about 1.30pm having skipped post break presentations. I found a lovely coffee shop in the nearby shopping Centre.. When I waked in the staff were very welcoming and I explained that I was tight on time and requested a flat white and a cheese tootsie which to the surprise of a foreign guy I paid in advance. A foreign woman came to check with me was everything ok and when I explained why I was in the area after so many years and all the changes to a little village that I knew way back. We had a great chat and she even shook hands with me. As I had to leave at 2pm I lifted up my cup

Stayed here for several months for work reasons and found it to be a very good hotel with clean rooms and a good shower, staff are super friendly and menu is good, plenty of selection of drinks and free underground parking which is safe and dry, close to lots of shops

Super friendly staff, spotless facilities. Tasty food and drink. We had lunch in the bar. Dinner in the restaurant. Great value for money, especially with the comedy gig too. Perfect spot for a night away and not too long a driver either for us.

Hotel Rooms were lovely and clean and very quiet. We used the swimming pool which was lovely but wished we had been made aware that you have to bring your own locks with you for the changing rooms as the public can use this complex (kids swimming lessons were on). Never saw that in a hotel before. We used the pool before check in I just had to take my chances with the lockers. I would never have thought I need to bring my own lock. We had lunch in the hotel food was lovely and floor staff were lovely. Breakfast was not great it was a big letdown, we had to book at time would have thought that was all done away with after Covid. We got there before 10.30 there was no juices left and the fruit in the bowls were just the ends none of these were replenished. Hot breakfast was nice. Had to find staff to get a pot of tea for the table and toast. No butter on the table had to go to another table to get some. There was no soda bread or pastries left. Breakfast was on until 11 so all these items should have been available until and after 11.

We hosted our annual society Ball in the Westgrove in February. Audrey could not have been more helpful, and the setup was amazing! Organising the event was seamless. The food was also top notch. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to host an event.

Parking was quick and easy, there are plenty of spots as there is a shopping center beside it too. Check in was fast, the lady gave no info about pool, or other hotel amenities etc. Room was small, and the bathroom was very tight. There was iron marks on the carpet which was the first thing you seen as you walked in. The balcony door was also cracked open the entire time that did not close at all. The room was cold and the wind was loud due to the door being cracked open the entire stay. Dinner was a let down, the ‘roast of the day’ was really bad, poor quality meat that was thinner than packet beef, with vegetables that looked like they were heated up. The burger was very nice though. Service wasn’t great, the man in the Restaurant serving wasn’t welcoming, very brief & came across a bit rude. There’s also a dinner menu & a weekend menu, but they only offer the dinner menu. So when we went to order specific items they weren’t available. Breakfast was the worst I have had in recent memory. We were told to sit anywhere in the Resteraunt but then weren’t approached for tea, coffee or toast. I had to go up to the desk in the Resteraunt and ask for it. The buffet breakfast was virtually empty both days. The eggs were in the back part of the kitchen, so you had to specifically ask for them, with the buffet trays empty. The sausages were poor quality, the rashers were nice along with the black pudding. I would recommend to not eat in the Resteraunt.
