Lovely farmhouse b&b in a beautiful setting. Perfect for a peaceful, unfussy stay in a small lakes village. Welcoming, relaxed and friendly to humans and dogs! A great sleep and a perfect breakfast. And right opposite a great village pub too

We simply love coming here. Spotless, a real fire, fabulous breakfast, cosy, cute rooms. You know when you book year after year that you've found somewhere that does hospitality well, they really do bend over backwards to make our stay lovely. And what a setting! right across the street from hill top cottage, great walking straight out of the front door, Oh, and the best breakfast, promise! The ospreys were the initial draw but now we come because we love staying at Belle green

I want to thank Ann and Steve for another wonderful stay with them at Belle Green. I came with our eldest daughter for a few days break ans I hadn’t been well and we had such a lovely time!!! As always the rooms are so comfortable and Ann’s homemade shortbread to be enjoyed with the tea things if you feel peckish.,and the breakfasts are simply great with local produce and Ann’s homemade jam and marmalade to make breakfast even tastier… and as always Ann and Steve are wonderful hosts and nothing is too much trouble to make your stay the best it can be.’ Thank you so much Ann and Steve I hope to visit again before too long!

This was another wonderful stay at Belle Green. Ann and Steve are perfect hosts. The bedroom was spotlessly clean with plenty of storage. The bathroom is spacious with good quality toiletries and soft fluffy towels. Breakfasts were a leisurely affair. The men tacked the huge delicious fry ups with gusto and the ladies ate smaller versions! We have booked again for the same time next year.

Just spent a lovely couple of nights at Belle Green .We were warmly welcomed by Ann and shown to our room which was lovely with a window seat and view of the garden .We had a good sized bathroom with walk in shower cubicle .Well stocked tea/ coffee tray with delicious homemade shortbread .Very comfy bed .Cosy residents lounge with roaring open fire . We had the best cooked breakfast we have ever had and it literally did set us up for the day ! Ann and Steve are lovely hosts and very knowledgeable about the surrounding area .Thankyou Ann for recommending Tarn How’s yesterday morning the views were truly spectacular. We will definitely be back when visiting this area of the lakes again and will recommend you .Thanks again John & Janet.

Our stay at Belle Green was only for one night but, we could not have been made to feel more welcome. Situated away from the main road that passes through the village, this is a lovely B&B set in lawned gardens with views across the village to the hills. Lots of nice touches in the room (Yorkshire Gold teabags appreciated!) and a hearty, freshly-cooked breakfast. We also discovered some superb walking in the surrounding fells. Altogether a brief but, highly enjoyable stay and we will certainly be returning.
