I enjoyed this hotel, I wished the shower was more warm but it wasn’t cold. Reception was friendly and helpful. Lots of places to eat within walking distance. I had a motorcycle rental and they had a covered garage so that was a bonus!
The hotel is quite nice. The location is right in the center of Lao Cai city. I requested highgfloor and it was arranged on the 8th floor with city view. Friendly staff (except the security guard in the lobby ****** T.T). There are many Chinese guests here. The hotel has a shuttle to the border, so if you have a plan to go to Ha Khau, you can consider this place.

The hotel is clean. There is a miniature landscape area for those who love virtual life to check in. I arrived in the evening and left early the next morning, so I couldn't take any virtual life photos.
Dịch vụ chu đáo, khách sạn sang xịn mịn, phòng ốc sạch sẽ ở rất thích lại còn mặt đường an dương vương nên đi chơi đi ăn uống cũng gần, mình khá thích cách mà khách sạntrang trí mang cảm giác sang trọng ấm cúng, tiểu cảnh cũng như decor view đẹp rất thích hợp cho những cặp đôi lên lào cai du lịch, mong sẽ có lần sau lên lào cai để trải nghiệm lại dịch vụ khách sạn
Good location in that it was near a lot of different food places. It was also along the waterfront. Great views of the waterfront from where I was at. Great views of the mountains and hills. I liked how it had a restaurant to eat at. The only thing that I didn't like was the minibar which was kind of tacky where they got you where they want you in making it convenient and tempting for you to eat but the food is more expensive than going to the stores to make some extra money off of you. I also didn't like how they were nitpicky in their variation of price charges on their laundry depending on which type of garment you are washing.
Facilities: The facilities are relatively old and the standard is Samsung.
Hygiene: The sanitary environment and bedding are generally not very clean.
Environment: There seems to be a bar downstairs and the sound is too loud at night to make it difficult to sleep.
Service: The service is quite enthusiastic and the front desk can communicate in Chinese without any barriers.
The size of the double bed room I booked was really small. The hot water in the room was hot and cold. I felt that the price was a bit expensive and not very cost-effective.
If the Sapaly Express Train service we faced was anything to go by, re-consider before deciding to stay here. In our group were guests in their late 80's. Prior to boarding the train at Ga Lao Cai, I asked for a stool to make it easier for them. I knew I had to make myself clear in English, but it wasn't the staffs' lack of command of the language. The staff I spoke to was actually uninterested in what I said, and even rude. His female colleague gave her name as Nguyen Thi [?] and she ignored my request too. Back in 2010, I faced the same issue, but the Victoria Sapa staff at least responded to my request. Perhaps, service, since the pandemic savaged the tourism industry the past three years, has gone to the dogs. But I feel sad for Vietnam's tourism sector, if the attitude of these Sapaly employees represents that of the industry in general. [I wrote a 3-star review of Sapaly Express Train, voicing my criticism. It was the only review there. At the time of submitting my latest review, the Sapaly Express Train listing has been taken down.]
It is about40K shield (12 yuan) from the old street port. The room is quite big. I live on the 6~ 8th floor. You can see some street views of the old street, including: Ga Lao Cai (train station), but the train station is not lively at all, a bit similar to the market town of domestic third- and fourth-tier cities. The hotel is very clean, similar to the domestic chain store, is three-star, but they are checked in after 14:00, if you check in early, you need to pay another price 340K Shield (100 yuan Rmb), the original price is about 230. Looking at the scenery outside the hotel is okay, there is a bay window sitting by the window, drinking a cup of coffee is very pleasant (send a picture). Xiao Du (Ms.) at the front desk of the hotel can speak Chinese and there is no problem with basic communication. The owner (Ms.) of the small coffee shop on the right hand side of the main entrance of the hotel is very kind and Chinese is not bad.
We came to Laojie to see a friend who booked this hotel room. The house is very clean and the staff here can speak Chinese, very enthusiastic to help us find a friend's house. I am really satisfied with this reservation

Mmatsu01Located in the city of Laokai, it was in a place that was not lost. After arriving at the bus terminal in Laokai by bus from Hanoi, I understood that I would tell you the name of our hotel when I took a minibus. It was a clean hotel and there was no dissatisfaction with the water around the shower. I was a little worried about the sound of the walls and doors between the rooms, or the sound of the next room and the corridor.
NNanyangwushuOverall very good. The hotel service staff is very professional. The location is convenient. The surrounding markets, supermarkets and restaurants are very convenient. It is very close to the customs. It takes 20,000 to 30,000 VND to get there by taxi. It takes more than ten minutes to walk.
GGuest Useri and my customers had been to stay day use here for 3 hours, the women of receptionist and a waitress at Cat Cat bar work at morning shift ( 25/01 ) were very friendly and pretty they’re warmly welcome us. + More specially Ms Thu was nice, helpful us and brought us to the car i not stay here for long time but i very appreciate about the staffs, just a little sad i don’t know the hotel don’t have bellman or they didn’t take care for our luggages, despite miss Thu she was try to help us but she is a women, the luggages big so i have bring by myself.
ZzenchidoMy family and I stayed at the Sen Trang hotel because it was highly recommended by a few of my friends. For a reasonably low price, we couldn't believe how clean and spacious our rooms were. What I likes the most was there variety of western food, which was hard to find in that city of Vietnam. The spaghetti was awesome. The coffee was very unique and specially designed by the hotel's owner. Definitely a great place to stay while you are in Lao Cai, if you want to experience friendly and family type service. I find this great of service rare these days.
