"We had a great stay at this beautiful resort. The buffet breakfast was excellent. The hotel was right next to the beach. The rooms were spacious and welcoming. There were plenty of English TV channels. The hotel staff accommodated us with an early check-in and a late check-out. The free shuttle into town was quick and reliable. We will definitely be back again soon!"

"I was quite impressed with the personal touch during check-in when the receptionist took time to explain the places of interests in Hoi An for all first time visitor. The room I got was beautifully decorated, clean and I enjoyed the bathtub. Just that u gotta bring your own bath bomb for the tub :) I also particularly like the balcony view. The hotel is located at a quiet corner and the old town is just around 10 mins walk away or you can cycle there with the hotel bikes. I really enjoy my stay in this hotel alot. Thumbs up."

"If you want to stay in Hoi An for more than 2 or 3 days, I recommend choosing this one. If you only stay for one or two nights, I suggest finding a good location to travel more conveniently.
First of all, let’s talk about the disadvantages: the attitude of the female receptionist on the first day of check-in was average and a little impatient. Some people raise chickens near the hotel, and the chickens can't stand the noise every night. There are very, very few types of breakfast, nothing to eat. It’s a bit far from the ancient city, about 20 minutes’ walk, and there are too many motorcycles and it’s not safe.
Advantages: The room area is large, the yard is very beautiful, the air view is good, and it is very quiet away from the crowd. The final check-out is less than five in the morning, because I told the front desk to check out tomorrow morning. As soon as the door opens in the morning, an old man will He rushed over to help us with our luggage, and kept waiting for the bus with us on the side of the road. Although he didn’t understand English, I said he could go back to rest first, but it might be dark. He was worried about the two girls and insisted on waiting with us. Thank you very much."

Excellent
WWutang traveler5 star hotel! I was going to Hoi An for my 2 year anniversary and made a note of that. The minute we arrived, the bellman assisted with our luggages and the guest service representative, Kathy, greeted us. Welcome drinks were served and all hotel services were explained in detail. She also have Kakao to make communications efficient. When Kathy showed us to our room, a special surprise was set up for us. The consideration and attention to detail is one of the best I have experienced in any hotel. Welcome desserts were served to us as well in our room. The massage and spa services were great and they offered a lot of promotions. Breakfast food was also wonderful. They also had a afternoon tea promotion for customers. I am the type of person who like to try new things and usually do not go back to the same hotel. Grand Sunrise Palace Hoian might be the first exception. Thank you Kathy for many our trip so memorable.
JJJ08Location, that's the main selling point of this hotel. Just 5 minutes walk away from Hoi An old town, it makes it the ideal place to make the most out of Hoi An. The views of the river view room was amazing as well, being able to take in the uniqueness of the heritage site. The room was very modern, clean and sound proofing was good. Service was also very good with friendly and attentive staff. Plus points for the good buffet breakfast with a river view. Whether it's for the food, tailors, night market or just strolling around town, this hotel is certainly something to not miss.

GGuest UserThe best accommodation experience of this trip
1. Good location, you can walk to the downtown area, but the location is quiet, quiet in the bustling area, there is an elevator, so you don’t have to worry about moving luggage
2. The boss is very nice. He contacted me by email many times before the trip about the pick-up and coconut boat booking. He was very kind and helped a lot
3. The hotel is small and exquisite, and it is very comfortable to live in
4. The boss shared a lot of travel suggestions with tourists. If you want to stay in a thoughtful and well-located homestay, choose this place
5. Da Nang pick-up is cheaper than grab, and coconut boat booking is also cheaper. You can really ask the boss for help
TTobias TA Convenient and Comfortable Stay in Hoi An, Vietnam
I recently stayed at the Tran Family Hostel in Hoi An, Vietnam, and I had a wonderful experience. The hostel staff was incredibly helpful and assisted me in organizing trips to My Son and Hue, which went smoothly without any issues. Additionally, I thoroughly enjoyed their outdoor swimming pool.
The location of the Tran Family Hostel is just a 5-minute walk from the city center, making it extremely convenient for exploring the vibrant streets of Hoi An. The hostel's proximity to various attractions, markets, and restaurants allowed me to fully immerse myself in the local atmosphere.
The rooms at the Tran Family Hostel are modern and spacious, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment for guests. The highlight was the super comfy bed, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a long day of sightseeing. The cleanliness and upkeep of the accommodation were also commendable.
One of my favorite amenities at the Tran Family Hostel was the outdoor swimming pool. It provided the perfect spot to unwind and cool off during hot Vietnamese afternoons. The pool area was well-maintained and added an extra touch of relaxation to my stay.
All in all, my time at the Tran Family Hostel was fantastic. The staff's assistance in organizing trips to My Son and Hue ensured a hassle-free and enjoyable experience. The convenient location, modern rooms, and comfy bed added to the overall comfort of my stay. I highly recommend the Tran Family Hostel to fellow travelers visiting Hoi An.
GGuest UserGreat location. Short walk to Hoi An Old Town. Beautiful hotel and very friendly staff. Upon arrival they had a host of recommendations and tips. Also very good value for money as its not the most expensive, but you get more than what you pay for. Highly recommended
HhollysmithA great home stay, they have multiple rooms and run it a little like an Airbnb or hotel but still keep the family touch behind home stay experiences. Family is kind, attentive, and great to chat to even with language barriers.
Free bicycles to use which is great because it’s a bit of a walk or cycle into old town. We think it’s a good distance but cycling shortened it. They do laundry but we didn’t use. They also have a dog who is a funny character.
To note for guests who are particular: Some things were a bit unclean in our room which is why we put 3/5. Amenities were good but shower head has a mind of its own and water temp is high (great and unusual for the surrounding properties we stayed in, but careful for unexpected water angles). Room also smelled damp and it was hard to get rid of smell. If this was a hotel it would be not acceptable, but given it’s a home stay we didn’t make a fuss. Just including in the review as homestays really range.
GGloryWongWe stayed at Laluna Riverside Hotel in early March. The hotel is very convenient, close to the Old Town, Hoi An Market and night market. The room is spacious and the staff was nice, especially Nancy Nguyen who cares for our need and always ready to help. Her English is good too. We booked tours through the hotel and the price is reasonably. The basket boat and cooking class was great. Massage is good as well. We enjoyed our stay there.
RRachrachyap My second visit to this hotel again within 10days, 1st visit was in October and everything was perfect and this 2nd trip (November) there’s a water trapped faulty in the shower room, room door is a bit not in good condition and the channel reception, TV remote control not functioning well , and here comes another staffs Mr Thuong (Bellman cum Security) together with maintenance staff come to rectify the issue, subsequently Front Desk Receptionist Ms Phuah Thi Hong Hanh called me and asked if I need to change to another room , well I told her if they can solved the issues in my room I’ll just remain to the same room . I’m so pleased the hotel really take care of their hotel guests as the next following day , Ms Phuah has prepared new room to me for room change although I never ask for it because the issues has been solved on the spot. Thank you and appreciate! Initial part was tempted to try other 4-5 stars hotels with much better facilities and great rate on room rates within the vicinity but end up I still choose back Le Pavillion because Front House staffs are extremely helpful , friendly and genuine warm welcome us home, here I really wants to compliment Mr Vo Van Tri (Bellman cum Security) whom doesn’t speak much English but he knows and understands what I need , whenever I walk out from the hotel entrance he will approached me and ask if I need hotel bicycle to get to my destination. Will definitely choose the same hotel again for my next trip .
-Perfect location for walking into old town and close to night markets.
-Room is well-furnished makes me feel relaxing, peace, comfortable and feel like home.
-Most importantly, the hotel staffs are the “Gems” of this hotel. Very friendly and attentive to their guests in house.
GGuest UserI stayed here 5 nights, using the hotel as a base for my day excursions to Hai Van Pass, My Son, and Cham Island. I like the location, just outside of the Old Town, so quiet enough, but accessible (by free bicycle); the hotel has free bicycles for guest to use. Otherwise the walk may be a bit far, especially in the heat. The rooms are a good size and good value at this price point. The staff are friendly and helpful; they asked if I wanted to switch to a large bed upon check-in as I had inadvertently booked a twin room.
Cleanliness is generally good, nothing wrong with the rooms. I give it a 3 star rating only because there is some algae growth in the swimming pool. But on the upside, the pool is not overly chlorinated.
Breakfast is simple but perfectly adequate; there is an egg station, normally some fried rice/noodles with some stir fried dishes, bacon, sausage, fruit, tea/coffee, bread and some pastries. I would have liked some yoghurt and granola, but that is just me.
Currently there is noisy construction work (for what looks like a new wing) going on, which starts early in the morning (7AM) and continues throughout the day. This was not an issue for me as I spent most days out and about, but you should be aware if you are booking this hotel in the next few months. Also, on the issue of noise, there is no soft door closer on the guest room doors, so you can here quite a lot of door slamming by some inconsiderate guests.
All in all, if I was to come back to Hoi An, I would stay here again (assuming the construction work is completed).
