We always stay at Greensprings Plantation when visiting Williamsburg. The unit we had this time was recently renovated with a beautiful blue/green palate. The kitchen and bathrooms were new as well. The unit was spacious and had a nice deck overlooking trees and the golf course. Check in was very easy and the staff was friendly. Greensprings is conveniently located near Colonial Williamsburg and Jamestown. There was a Target and Starbucks right down the road as well as other restaurants. Note that a car is a must. We especially liked the proximity to the Williamsburg National Golf course that surrounds the property.
The village was perfect base location to visit Jamestown, Yorktown, and Williamsburg. Loved Uncle Russ seafood and italian restaurant right around the corner! Would stay here again.

My husband, another couple, and I visited Williamsburg at the end of the Memorial Day weekend and what a gem we found in the Cedars. Leroy welcomed us when we arrived and graciously showed us our rooms and explained the arrangements. It was great to have a little fridge where we could store a few items we had in our cooler bag and to have newspapers and comfortable lounging spots both inside and out. Both rooms were exactly as advertised. We had rooms on the main floor of the house. They both felt spacious with their high ceilings. I give the owners credit for creating comfortable bathrooms despite space restrictions. I loved having a chair in my room and endulged myself with a little introvert time after our first day before we headed out to dinner. The next morning we had the opportunity to meet Alex who was such a delight--it's truly hard to share adequately. He took the opportunity to get to know us and then shared personal experiences which were both interesting and really humorous. Definitely can imagine standup in his future. We would all highly recommend the Cedars and would revisit again if the opportunity provided.
The facility and staff were top notch as usual. This is not my first time staying and it won’t be my last. Very convenient to Water Country and Busch Gardens along with Targets right across the street. 5/5

We spent 2 nights in the Lewis colonial house, which turned out to be perfect for our family of 3 adults and 3 children: it gave us privacy and insulated neighbors from our noise at a very reasonable price. The small kitchen area has a microwave and small refrigerator but no dishes; the housekeeper kindly left us dish soap and a sponge but it would be useful to have the house stocked with those and a few dishes. The location of the house was excellent, very convenient to everything. There was plenty to do and we'd like to come back. I'd like to hear more about the experience of enslaved people and free people of color in the early republic: more tours, performances, and also demonstrations of how and where they and other serving people worked. Where did they sleep? What did they eat and wear? What were living conditions like? More interactive and hands on experiences for children would also be useful. And throughout the dialogue needs to be captioned if not translated to be more audible/accessible and for non-native English speakers.
Hotel location is good, the environment is beautiful. It is located in the historical and cultural reserve of Williamsburg, very close to William and Mary College and less than 10 minutes by car. The room is large and the view from the window is picturesque. Thumbs up!

Excellent
We had booked this hotel in advance for a trip to Williamsburg to visit Water Country and Busch Gardens. We entered the lobby which is very modern with a waterfall feature which was very nice. There were / employees at the front desk and no one waiting to check in when we entered but the woman immediately told us we would have to take a seat it be would be 10 minutes before we could get checked in which I thought was strange? So after that we checked in and went to outlet 4th floor room. It was surprising how roomy the 2 Queen bed suite was! The beds were comfortable with lots of pillows and a seating area with a mini fridge and microwave. The bathroom was good sized with a nice shower. The hotel breakfast was above average as it had waffles, cheese omelet, potatoes, coned beef hash, sausage’s, donuts muffins, bagels, pastries and cereal. They had a juice machine and a coffee machine which was ok not great. We had a few chances to use the pool and hot tub but every time was packed full of kids and hot tub was at the max! Overall the hotel was mainly quiet with a few moments of loud children but that’s to be expected and could use a more thorough cleaning in public spaces. This hotel is probably a 3.5 but rated it as a 4 since it was a nice relaxing stay.
YYIBreakfast is just like that. Many ordinary hotels in the United States are just like that, and they barely meet the requirements. The location is not bad, two kilometers from the College of William and Mary. The room is very hygienic, especially the toilet, no need to worry. The bed was very comfortable, and I fell asleep when I was lying down. Only note: no slippers in the room, no kettle, you need to find your own way. Overall great experience!
BBE ABROADABLE - Nat the ExpatThis hotel is PERFECT for budget travelers!
I’m always so scared when I book hotels on the cheaper side of the spectrum in an area, because I just can’t relax in a place that doesn’t feel clean or safe.
Our hotel room was EXTREMELY clean, and the carpets looked brand new! The bed wasn’t amazing, but for the price it was definitely good enough!
The area also felt pretty safe, and the hotels have a very secure flip-lock on the doors (one of the safest kinds of door locks out there!) As a female traveler, I would have felt very safe traveling solo here.
The breakfast has fresh waffles, eggs and sausage, and plenty of pastries/toast/bagels. There’s also yogurt, fruit, cereal, and a coffee/tea bar. It’s not too fancy, but for a budget traveler, it’s perfect.
It’s a 10 minute walk to a grocery store and nearby shops. Less than 5 minutes drive to the Colonial Williamsburg Visitors Center.
We’d totally stay again. It checked all the boxes, and wonderfully so for the price point!
The location was ideal for busch gardens. The breakfast area was super crowded. I kept getting followed around and stopped by the African American lady that does breakfast everutime I tried to get food at the hot breakfast station and I waited in line to get food for a while. She was pretty rude to us guests and wouldn't even say excuse me but that we were all in her way. The other lady with the brown hair was really nice and refilled the milk for my son. There is very limited seating for breakfast and we spent most of breakfast having other people cough all over our food. So we ended up taking it up to our room. The dining area is getting a little run down. I think it would help be less crowded if they put the waffle stuff next to the juice. There's a line to get waffles and u can't even get to the hot food because there's so many people in the way. It would be nice to change the layout a bit that makes sense if there's going to be a ton of lines. It was very surprising to not to have microwaves or fridges in all the rooms.
GGuest UserI've never dealt with anything like this before. Checked in Friday. No parking spots available. Front desk person was advising guests to park in the fire lane. Construction debris, containers and equipment in parking lot. Construction workers drinking(partying) in parking lot. Stairwells full of construction tools and hotel furniture. Translucent paper was taped over our room windows which didn't block parking lot and sign lighting from outside. Elevator stopped working and maintenance person had to prop door open to maintenance area so that the elevator equipment wouldn't overheat because it wasn't cooled properly. Shower did not work Saturday morning. Informed front desk. Returned Saturday afternoon and shower had not been repaired. Front desk person came to room and verified not working. Said he would contact me for a resolution. Never did. Left early Sunday morning and told front desk that the shower issue was never resolved and I would not be paying. Credited our card for the full amount. Later charged my card for a different amount. We were there for a soccer tournament. Not being able to shower at all and get restful sleep was a huge problem.
GGuest UserI stayed at this hotel before and I was disappointed. I came here again because I am with Choice Hotel Rewards and thought to give it another chance. What I can say this time was; hot water for my tub constant and constant working Wi-Fi. Overall since my last review on this hotel I can say I am satisfied. My room was clean and spacious, hot water, Wi-Fi working, so I was pleased. Also location is great for downtown Williamsburg, you can walk there in under 30 minutes. For the price of the hotel and location, you can't beat. Also, there is a pancake house restaurant across the street for breakfast, excellent breakfast place.
Definitely right about what we were looking for at the price point. It is clean enough that the bathroom was comfortably usable and one of us could sleep on the floor and not die of syphilis, so this place gets a thumbs up. Only downside was you have to bring your own HDMI to use the TV from your device.
Llucy-lindaConvenient transportation, excellent location, good breakfast, parking lot, staying at this hotel next time out, the hotel is very close to the Williamsburg Outlets, about 15 minutes walk
KKarenOld hotel. Needs updating but that would enlist as tearing down and rebuilding. Can’t hiide with paint anymore. Our room had roof water damage. Hot water and pressure great and bed were very comfortable.
