I love the Comfort Inn in Watertown and we stay there all the time when we go. What I didn't appreciate this time for the desk clerk Mike who was not very helpful when we stated that there was something wrong with the AC in our room. For the month of May it is usually hot this year and the AC in our room (625) would work for 5 minutes then shut off. We tried numerous ways with the same results each time. Mike came up to the room and made us feel like we were bothering him with this and did exactly what we had tried saying this was what had to be done. We explained to him that we had done that several times with the same outcome. He said tried it again and if it doesn't work he would bring us a box fan or move us. Well, guess what it did the same thing and I call down to the front desk. I asked for the adjoining room as it was vacant (which it was as I confirmed in the morning) but instead he gave us a room down the hall. We have stayed at this hotel probably since it has opened and have NEVER EXPERIENCED such rude staff person. I realize that he is only one person at your facility so I will not let that affect whether or not we stay there again. We love the hotel and location is great for all we do in Watertown. Thank-you for letting me vent.
This is the stinkiest hotel I have ever experienced. It smells SO musty the moment you walk in from outside. A stale smell. An old house that hasn't been aired out in years. So maybe it was just the lobby? The room was no better, and you could not open a window to air out the smell. We found a housekeeper and asked if she had any deodorizer and was prepared (surprise surprise) and gave me a bottle of Fabreeze. We never unpacked and kept our suitcases sealed so as not to absorb the odour. When I mentioned the smell to the gal at the front desk, she shrugged it off, said she could not smell anything. Probably used to it. No apologies. Beds were comfortable. Not high that you need a boost to get into it. Only one chair in the room and that was the desk chair. Bathroom - good water pressure in the shower. Lots of towels. The free breakfast (located off the lobby) was okay. You won't walk away hungry. They had enough options of cereals, waffles, breads, muffins, yogurts, oatmeal, unpeeled hardboiled eggs. Their hot food was a chicken patty, potatoes and what appeared to be the shape of an omelet. Juice. Coffee was very good. Paper and plastic everything. It wasn't spectacular, it was adequate. Parking was good. They offered luggage carts if you needed them. Elevators were very efficient. You might think it is deserving of more than one star after my review, but honestly, that smell knocks you down as soon as you walk in. And it sets the tone for the entire stay. This hotel was in a good location off the highway and access to restaurants and shopping. I would NEVER stay at this hotel again.
Booked on Priceline. Nice hotel, friendly and accommodating staff. Clean rooms. Good wifi, comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast was ok, had scrambled eggs, bacon. My wife liked the oatmeal cereal as there was lots of dried nuts and seeds to add. Coffee was ok for hotel, better than most hotel coffee though I do like it stronger. Probably nicest hotel we stayed in our whole trip. I would stay again. The hotel manager Brittany was very nice and accommodating
This holiday inn is good, there is no trouble in Boston to live in the holiday inn, check in directly, no deposit or credit card, check the name, show them the driver's license, everything is OK. Very comfortable.
Unfortunately I wasnt able to stay there due to tiredness and wasn't able to drive over to the location however I am looking forward to stay there the next time
