GGuest UserStayed one night a week before this one and the difference was noticeable. I agree with the previous reviewer that said the 'Club' rooms are better than the first floor regular King rooms. I booked both rooms through Trip.com. The option to book the Club King rooms is not available on any website that I could find. The first stay, a new trainee upgraded us the 'Club' level, basically the 2nd floor. The difference, besides location, was the room was larger, larger bathroom entryway, couch and most importantly... the door frames were clean and not in need of paint. The second stay, a different person checked in... our room number again was changed from the pre-assigned one given by trip.com (seems to be standard op procedure), but both numbers were on first floor. This time the room just felt dirty because I could see handprints on the door frames bath & entry. If not paint, bleach water would remove. I would actually pay an extra $30 for the Club room, if I had that option. Sadly, you don't know what you will get when you book. I had tried calling the hotel direct to book and their rate was higher than I was finding online...for regular King rooms. The Club rooms ARE fantastic and worth every penny and make the difference of an ABOVE arverage 4* stay vs. a BELOW average 3* stay. If my first experience had been like my last, I probably wouldn't have booked again. The first stay, I felt I got a value. Not so on the second. The outdoor property areas are stunningly beautiful. The breakfast was above average with fresh blueberries & strawberries available, ham/egg/cheese croissant sandwiches, different juice options. We did not try the wine/cheese from 5-6pm either time. If we return (we have family in NWA), we will probably stay there again. At the time of booking an King JACUZZI suite was $150 additional per night, as I have a jacuzzi tub at home, I didn't think it worth it to me. Re-evaluating that...and I'd probably see if I could snag one of the special rooms like the Remington suite for comparison sake. The Hawthorne was near the room we stayed in the 2nd stay and is probably in need of TLC, being in the older section of the hotel. My guess. I wish there was a way to book the 2nd floor King suites, instead of potluck 1st floor King standard rooms with tiny bath. ONLINE. Rates both times were $30 night below Holiday Inn Springdale. P.S. As this is an Ascend Hotel, I had attributed my first upgrade to my CSR credit card benefits. Perhaps mistakenly? Hotel did not appear to be full either time, based on parking lot & breakfast company.

GGuest UserI stay at this hotel a couple of times a month. The staff is always friendly and helpful. During my last stay, I accidentally left my I-phone charger in the room. I called the next day to see if it had been turned into lost and found. It had not but the staff checked my room and called me back when they found my charger. Upon arriving for my next visit, Hydisia remembered my name and had my charger ready for me at the front desk. It is the small things that make a big difference. Thank you, Gary M

GGuest UserGreat place for families and seniors: modest cost compared to local hotels that tout ”suites” but only have a microwave and little frig under a counter in your room, ample parking, large quiet, suites, separate full-size kitchen, full breakfast every day, friendly staff, especially in the dining room, several restaurants in walking-distance.

GGuest UserAhmed greeted us and, from that moment on, we taken care of in a warm, caring, professional manner. When we travel back to Fayetteville, we will want to stay at Avid hotel, and we hope that Ahmed will still be on your staff. The remainder of your staff, down the the person, was also warm and friendly, regardless of their task/s or time-of-day! The grab-n-go breakfast had a great variety and the anytime coffee is a must. The room was perfect, clean, well cared for and the beds were GREAT! *Trip Type - we were in town to attend a Larkin Poe concert at George's Majestic Lounge **Maybe add a trip type of ”Pleasure”

This hotel has transitioned many times through the years. We were happy to learn that it had yet again transitioned into a Hilton property due to our loyalty to the brand. The location is fairly ideal. Service was snippy and unresponsive. We were traveling as fans of the opposing team to the hometown university and we certainly felt that animosity throughout our stay. The shower was disgusting with mold which I reported on our first night and we were assured it would be addressed when our room was serviced; however it was not. Day two found us once again washing in a filthy shower. When I again voiced concerns, I was assured they will report it to housekeeping with absolutely no offer of rectifying the situation with us.

Very Good
GGuest UserThere are better places to stay for the same price. Hotel is rundown and poorly maintained. Had two rooms and both had TV issues. Worse yet, both of them smelled, one from the garbage disposal and the other from the open freezer door. Tried to air them out and asked for clorox to kill the disposal but they didn't have any. The bigger issue was their lack of feel for customer service. My son goes to UofA and came to see his grandfather who is in a wheelchair and in recently poor health. We sat in the lobby to talk but were told we couldn't stay there because Sean, the manager, would see us on the security camera and tell us to leave. I explained that our rooms were small, our TVs didn't work and why were were meeting but the lobby attendant said it was only a matter of time. We told him to tell Sean that we would only be there for a short time and that we were not bothering anyone since it was Saturday night and no one was checking in. Didn't matter, Sean called in a while latter and said we had to go to our rooms or leave. Hey, Sean, get out of your parents basement and off the creepy security cameras. Have some feel for what is going on in your hotel by listening to your employees who were there and didn't really think it was a big deal for us to hang out in a lobby that was not busy. The Graduate is a much better hotel with a welcoming lobby.

Right off the highway so it's mostly occupied by out of town workers. Parking lot full of work vehicles but still spots to be used. Definitely what we would call a ”roach motel” growing up. Front desk staff kept making small talk with the customer in front of me. I ended up standing there waiting (while exhausted) for some time while they chit chatted at 12am. Room is very outdated and TV remote buttons aren't working right. Click power and it just changes the channel. Smells musty and is humid in the room. Bathroom leaves a lot to be desired. The most important thing. It is now 3am. This is the single most uncomfortable concrete slate of a bed I have ever laid on in my entire life. I am considering sleeping in my car. I have piled the pillows under me and still it is too uncomfortable to sleep on. If I went outside and slept on some construction gravel, it would be a similar sensation. Why would I bother going to report this to the desk? They can't provide a new mattress or dehumidify this fart of a motel room. Total waste of my money. I should have stayed anywhere else. If you value your back and want to feel rested, or simply want to not breathe hot wet air and not watch QVC on the TV that doesn't turn off.....find another place to sleep.

I do not recommend this hotel. I stayed here for business a few years ago and it was quite good. Since then it has really gone downhill. Here are the specifics on this trip: - The key card continually demagnetized between morning and evening, though I was carrying it with other similar cards that did not demagnetize. - The showerhead in my bathroom was broken and just jerry-rigged together, so I couldn't get under it. It took two days of reminding the front-desk staff in order to get it fixed. - The mattress was very thin and incredible uncomfortable. I got up every morning with a horrible backache. - The minifridge in the room had ice in the freezer section. The first night I put a salad in the refrigerator section and it froze. So I turned up the temperature just a bit, and for the next 4 days, the ice that had built up in the freezer section melted and ruined everything I put in there. - The internet connection was unstable. - The ”business office” had a computer and printer. Neither worked. After I inquired, they finally put up a sign saying ”out of order.” - Housekeeping cleared out the towels every day -- there was no option to hang the towels up and reuse them in order to reduce water consumption. - With one notable exception, all the front-desk staff was defensive and unresponsible when asked for help with any of these problems. There was sort of a ”not my problem” attitude. In summary, I will not stay here again, and I would not recommend it to anyone else.
