GGuest UserI booked this room for my nephew and his wife, James Giordano. Apparently business is very good at this location. There was a Bat matzah party going on right beneath my nephew’s room and it was very noisy. My nephew called the desk to complain they were unable to sleep due to the loudness. The front desk said it would be over at 11 pm. My nephew said he and his wife asked for a different room away from the noise. The desk was reluctant to fill that request causing my nephew to tell them give us a full refund and we will go somewhere else. The desk agreed to giving them a different room. So they packed up and went to a different room. Very inconvenient and unsettling.
GGuest UserFrom the time that I walked into Home 2 Suites by Hilton I was pleased. The two gentlemen at check-in were very welcoming and informative. They explained everything about the hotel and offered information of places to eat near us. Our room was ready for us and very clean. Breakfast had a variety of choices and all was enjoyable with all areas very clean. Check-out went fast and smooth and I was asked how was my stay and if there were any problems. There was nothing negative fir me to say. Our stay was great! I am a freguent traveler and will definitely return to this Homes and Suites Hilton if in the area!
GGuest UserThe hotel was convenient to a major highway, shopping and eateries. The room was nicely decorated with a comfortable chair to relax in. The hall was hot, poorly lit and the carpet looked dirty. There was a bag of garbage left at the ice machine for more than 12 hours, the soda machine did not work. The room was freezing and I was unable to adjust the thermostat to a comfortable temperature. The picture on the tv was terrible and there was a minimal number of channels to choose from. A cooked to order breakfast was included with the room, however, it was really a buffet with poor quality food.
GGlazerTgWas there just to sleep and didn't get to take advantage of any of the amenities. It is pretty convenient to EWR and the Plaza where it is located has some shops and restaurants. Clean and comfortable.
WwouterjAs the crow flies extremely close to Newark Airport terminal with free airport shuttle every 30 min, 24/7. I requested to checkin early, but the room wasn't ready. Staff is helpful and professional, and tried to find an alternative, but it took a long time for the computer system to make it work. Not really sure what the problem was. Not recommendable when you are on a tight schedule or in need of sleep. Room good quality and comfortable bed. Noisy highway close by.
QQuekChristopherVery welcoming great place to stay. There is a free dedicated shuttle at P4 Newark so do take it and not waste usd22 on an Uber.
Next to it is a 200 store factory outlet which you can walk. The bus 115 goes to Manhattan MPA for usd7.
Breakfast is good. But no eggs and bacon but IHOP is next door.
Just ensure you have all your medicines and toiletries. There is no pharmacy or convenience store in the mall or hotel.
There is also no food available at night so ensure you have bought snacks at night. There is a microwave.
Service staff is sometimes friendly and sometimes not
Just be patient.
MModicaThe only complaint that I have is that the room I stayed in did not have a fridge. Other than that the hotel is beautiful! The rooms are extremely nice! No carpet! Love the bathrooms! Overall, the hotel is a must!
GGuest UserI stayed at this location twice during my trip & had different experiences based on the person at the front desk. The hotel has a shuttle but it only runs certain hours; therefore, if your flight is late and the front desk doesn’t care, you are left stranded in finding a way to the hotel. The first person rounded up a shuttle for pick up, the second person said I just needed to find a way there (which was very expensive).
The breakfast was hot coffee and bags of tea & hot water, instant packs of oatmeal and grits (when not hoarded by other guests), individually packaged chocolate & plain muffins, and granola bars. It’s something, but definitely not my first choice.
This place is not the best nor the worst so if you want a definite shuttle, choose a closer location.
Aarshyb1I wouldn’t say this place is exactly family friendly. It looked a little scary, but in the end, we just needed a place to stay that was on the cheaper side. It’s definitely not worth the price. Check in was easy. There’s free parking for guests (if you can find parking), but the rooms were basic. I booked a king size bedroom, but we got 2 double beds. It could be because we arrived late and they gave our room away. The place was pretty full.
It is really convenient if you are travelling from Newark Liberty Hotel because it’a only 5 minutes away. You can take the metro into the city or drive (the drive is about 40 mins into New York City). They are also pet friendly. Room service doesn’t seem to be available while the stay. I guess if you are staying long term you can ask for towel replacement and whatever else.
There wasn’t a hot tub like the pictures showed, but the bathroom does have a tub. They provide towels and soap, so bring your own things including a hair dryer if needed!
