Even though we had a balcony, we had to crane around the building to see the sunrise so if that's your reason for booking that specific room, it may not be. Go in the front of the building to see a fantastic sunset and enjoy the seating there. That said, we enjoyed our balcony and the views of the hills while eating take out food and a picnic one day that was rained out in the park. The room and bath were very nice and the 2nd floor windows gave us endless views. Breakfast was also very good but there are two seatings: 7:30 or 8:00 which you need to sign up for in the entry way each night. Opportunities for improvement include a big one....if you say coffee is on at a time before breakfast, please do it! I waited a half hour for the kitchen team to arrive. I couldn't self make on the upstairs landing because NO ONE refilled the coffee cups. This is a big deal for us early risers and one of the reasons we stay at B & B's. In your advertisement you talk about a fireplace but when we get there it is covered with junk piled in front of it from the tour business. Just take it out of your promo and we won't be disappointment looking around for it. Overall, I'd recommend this place to stay although the regular rooms looked a bit austere.
Hello. We loved the location and some amenities offered such as hot tub, year round pool, restaurant on site. It’s a very nice place for the views and animals they had.
I did not like the front desk customer service. I felt she was a bit racist. People travel from all over the world and customer service goes a long way. It’s best to be nicer and kind of at least smile.
I was not happy with our room. We were placed right by the cleaning storage room and I’m going to list the issues of room.
1. A light bulb on table was flickering
2. Bit of an odor when entering
3. Bathroom door squeaking that needs some WD-40 and a bit too tight if space
4. Shower made noise screaming when in use
5. Keruig coffee machine did not work or is properly fitting to the k-cups provided.
6. Bed sheets had a stain, so not sure if it was even changed.
7. Fridge door would not close properly or not cold enough
I would recommend this place. Just the rooms needs to be fixed better to accommodate traveling guests.
The kitchen restaurant evening waitress’s on 4/16 were great and would recommend their services. Also a maintenance short older guy next to our room was greeting too.
Thank you

This hotel is a gem! The lobby was well appointed and the staff were welcoming. Our king room was very spacious and the bed was super comfy. The room had a microwave and an awesome mini fridge with a small freezer, which is perfect when road tripping through Utah. For anyone who has struggled to sleep with a noisy refrigerator running all night, you will appreciate that this one is very quiet! We ate at the on-site restaurant. The food was decent enough, and we appreciated the convenience because there are very limited options for dining in the area.
Casitas was great. The easiest check-in and check-out I have ever experienced. Casitas was very responsive with any questions or concerns even though there was nobody on property. The room was clean and packed full of extra amenities. The white noise machine was clutch! The stay exceeded my expectations and would recommend Casitas at Capital Reef to anybody. There was construction going on during the day (but not till 10am). And good for Casitas, they deserve to expand their business.
Easy to reserve, the morning of arrival received code for our room door. Motel Torrey was clean. Ice available. Pretty close to Capital Reef NP. Parking right in front of our room. Coffee and coffee cups with logo in our room, nice touch. Good communication with updates.
American breakfast, all you can eat. The room is not small and very warm, but the heater is slightly louder. The hotel is at the intersection of Highway 24 and Highway 12. Although it is still one mile away from the residential area, it is close to the gas station and Subway, making it convenient for people and cars to eat. Take Highway 12 from the hotel, the scenery is good
Really good experience. Super convenient access to Capital Reef National Park, comfortable room, darn good breakfast. The grounds are well maintained and the view of the nearby canyon walls is awesome. If I am back in Torrey, Utah this is where I'll stay.
