This hotel is a treasure. I'm so glad I found it.I will never going anywhere else. Modern an# comfortable. Breakfast served daily. You could eat there weeks and not eat the same thing twice. Dinner too!! Cocktail as well. Management team.. Well Done! John
Located just 30 minutes north from Downtown Houston and minutes from Conroe, The Woodlands is home to some of the country's top corporations including ExxonMobil, Huntsman, Occidental Petroleum and more. This is Houston-beyond – a respite of upscale shopping, first-class entertainment and 5-star dining, scenic lakefront, and live concerts. It is here, just minutes from the Woodlands Mall, Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, and Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, that the Courtyard Houston North/Shenandoah resides: where a bastion of contemporary cool, modern design, bold décor, and upscale amenities – meets Texas-friendly. Our Woodlands accommodations promise comfortable bedding, free WiFi, well-lit desks, and ergonomic chairs, as well as access to welcome hotel amenities, including a sparkling outdoor pool, a fitness center, and onsite bistro. Whether here for work or play, we know you will enjoy your stay.
We visited the Woodlands for a medical appointment - it was a quick trip. Aloft was very reasonably priced and near restaurants, shopping areas, etc. The hotel is close to I-45, but not so close you can hear traffic. Parking was easy, we felt safe for the most part - and the staff allowed us to check in a few hours early. Our one complaint was that we did not have hot water until the end of our stay. Shortly after check-in, I advised the front desk in person and through Bonvoy chat that we had no hot water. I was told that the boilers had to be reset and to give the hotel 10 minutes to remedy the situation. My husband and I waited as long as we could but had dinner plans that forced us to suffer through cold showers. I kept periodically checking in about the water through chat. Finally, in the middle of the night, they fixed the hot water and let us know through a chat message. I am not sure why weren’t given another room - the hotel did not seem especially occupied. All the same, the price was right, the staff seemed friendly, and the room served our needs. And maybe a cold shower now and then builds character….?
Stayed for 4 nights in September. Hotel was clean and quiet. Close to I-45 but far enough off of it that you didn’t hear the interstate from the hotel. Nice pool. Good sized rooms. Lots of restaurants and retail nearby. Staff was friendly. On site restaurant was good. Was able to get to my local destinations fairly quickly from here. My only complaint was breakfast was done by 9am. Another hour would have been nice. Will definitely stay here again. Great location. Highly recommend.
I made this reservation due to my power being out from deadly storms which left almost 900,000 people without power in Houston. We were without power for a couple days and didn’t know when it would be our turn for power to be restored. I have two kids and with temperature outside reaching 92 I quickly booked the reservation for 2 days (Saturday – Monday morning) to escape the heat. About 4 hours after checking in (about 8pm) I received a notification stating our power had been restored. I spoke with the front desk and asked about getting a refund for Sunday since our power was on again. She stated she would ask her manager Chirag Bhakta in the morning. I checked out Sunday before 11am with the same front desk lady and she said Mr. Bhakta wasn’t there yet and to call later and handed me his business card. After returning home I called and was told they would not give me a refund because I had prepaid. I explained the situation and that I had given plenty of time for them to book the room out to another customer. She said yes, they did book it already to someone but they still had to stick to their no refund policy. You would think during times like this they would have a heart and give a refund especially since I gave plenty of notice. We lost all of our refrigerated food due to the power being out for so long. This refund would have helped me replace some food for my family. Thanks Chirag Bhakta and Super 8.
I have stayed in Shenandoah several times in several different motels, this one is so far the best value, it has nice amenities, furnishing and things are used and slightly worn, but so many of them and they are still nice. I will stay here from now on every time I have to stay in Shannondoah
Room was clean Shower pressure was VERY Low, window shade would not open more than 10 inches and pillows were extremely thin.
Breakfast was good and morning attendant made small scones that were pastry shop quality! Very Good! Quite a treat. :)
