Find the Cheap San Jose Hotels

Nice clean, spacious updated place, friendly staff. Good shuttle service to airport. Don’t count on eating there. Breakfast is not free and other foods in food area are scarce and almost non-existent. Take scissors if you want to open any packages. This place is for techies only. There are NO written materials in rooms to help guide you on what services are available. There are some restaurants in walking distance but you’re on your own to find them In the old days rooms were cleaned every day unless you tell them not to. I guess it’s the opposite now. I asked a young woman from the hotel’s cleaning staff what the procedure was on that and she said she didn’t know because she was new. I would stay there again because the room was nice, but next time I’ll be better prepared. I would make reservations directly with the hotel because Expedia probably overcharges.

The girls at the front desk are very talkative and friendly. The downside is that the sofa bed is very uncomfortable. On the day of check-in, I was catching up with the room next to the party, and it was a big night! ! !

Even during COVID-19 -- Marriott Residence Inn was a great stay! I always prefer to stay at Marriott Residence Inn when I travel -- because these rooms are ”mini condos” with bed, kitchen, living room, and laundromat. This stay was different -- I just wanted to have some quiet time from family during COVID-19. I'm on Weight Watchers -- so being able to bring + cook my own food worked for me when I didn't go out to eat. I was fortunate to get a room on the end -- so it was quiet which I liked. Usually this hotel room has plates, pots, pans, utensils -- all that you need in a kitchen -- but it was all taken out. I was glad to use my own plates, pans + utensils. Better safe. If I needed anything - hotel staff was just a phone call away. The hardest part was parking -- it was packed because we couldn't go anywhere during COVID-19 shutdown, even beaches were closed.

Hotel bed is very comfortable

Fortunately this hotel is remedying some of its issues--an awkwardly laid out first floor and a pretty average buffet-style breakfast. In its favor is its great downtown location, spotlessly clean facilities and excellent bedding. My TV had tons of channels and worked very well. I enjoyed the Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries and my room was quiet and comfortable. Staff went out of their way to assist however possible. Yes, the homeless are on the streets, but I was never approached or made to feel uncomfortable or unsafe. I walked everywhere and enjoyed great area restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

Soundproofing is very bad, very noisy at night 1. The sound of the air conditioner is very noisy, and I can hear the sound of the host next door. 2. If you close the door, there is no light hand, you can hear it here and you will be woken up at night.

I’ve been coming to the San Jose Hilton for years. The breakfast is top quality and generous portions. The serve is second to none. Horacio gives the best serve and after the second time dining he remembered me. He also remembers what I like and always goes above and beyond. Horacio Is on of the reasons I only have breakfast here. Is awesome

The AC is not cooling well. It doesn’t feel like the temperature we set it to. Not bad for one night stay though.

I stayed at the same hotel for the second time three years after the epidemic, but the name was changed and the service was even better. In the heart of San Jose, next to the University of San Jose. Breakfast was very good.
