I am sorry, I cannot recommend this motel or stay here again. I am usually good at researching places I have not stayed at before--but somehow my skills failed me this time. There is no problem with the staff here--they are as friendly and helpful as can be. But this is a motel that needs demolition and a re-build IMHO. So David, what was going in the middle of a business week at this motel to cause you to give it 2 stars? What happened? I don't know if this motel has a government contract to house homeless people? or they just rent to a certain clientele that is up ALL NIGHT sitting on stairs or hanging off the balcony smoking cigarettes like they have no place to go the next day... And my room was just off the stair--the only room left the clerk told me when I checked in--and the smoke would get sucked in by the AC and pollute my room. There were some women that would come out of their rooms and sit on the stairs by themselves looking like the world is going to come to an end and drown themselves in cigarettes all night long I saw from my window (and the next morning too). I almost went out there myself to tell them to stop but it was late and I was very tired and did not want a confrontation. At 2.30 am tired of smelling the cigarette smoke I picked up the room phone to call the front desk and guess what? Phone was Dead! I tried fixing the cord--unplug and re-plug--dead as a door-nail. Tried to sleep--no sound insulation in these rooms. Every car going by sounds like they are going to drive into the room--loud as can be. Did not get restful sleep here. I needed to drink an entire Starbucks black coffee the next morning to do business that afternoon. The are no interior corridors in this motel--every room opens to the outside. It's a very old Best Western motel built cheaply--It's not a ”manor.” For the rest of the room--the bed was okay, shower good, TV worked, parking easy and free, clean enough. I went to bed late so I missed the free breakfast. It's just not a comfortable place to rest and I would not want to stay here again as nice as the staff members were the next morning.
I booked the Hampton Inn based on reviews and proximity to UBS Arena. I do not have any negatives regarding this property. The check in was quick. They had freshly baked cookies at the desk, which were fabulous. The room and bathroom were clean and had adequate space. It also had a small refrigerator. The room was on the first floor, but was surprisingly quiet. We did not try the breakfast, but my husband did try the coffee. They also have a variety of drinks and snacks for purchase. The hotel is within walking distance to downtown, which has numerous restaurants, and also a grocery store and pharmacy. We did not feel unsafe during this walk, which was an approximate 5 minute walk. Everyone in the hotel was extremely friendly from the front desk to the maid service. We will frequent this hotel again, if returning to Rockville Centre.
As those of us who travel on Long Island know, there aren't a lot of choices for hotels. The Rockville Center Hotel is a gem and a great value. The room rates are significantly less than the other two quality hotels in Rockville Center. The staff is friendly and helpful, especially Alex, one of the front desk clerks...for instance, I accidentally left my car keys near the front desk, and he figured out whose they were and called my room. And he has great recommendations for restaurants. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. (I have stayed at the hotel 3x.) The lobby and dining area are spacious. The dining area is for breakfast, which comes with your daily rate, They have an excellent continental breakfast, and each guest can get scrambled eggs (not runny!) and bacon too. They do not have a gym or pool, but they do have an arrangement with a nearby gym. The hotel is in a great location: it's on the border of Lynbrook and Rockville Center. Even though it's on Sunrise highway, it's very quiet in the hotel..very thick walls. I will be going back there in a few days. :)

We checked out after one night and cancelled our other reservation with you. We came to town for a wedding and my friends who were getting married clearly didn’t visit your “hotel” before booking a room block with you. Booking the reservation was problematic. You didn’t offer them any sort of discount as an incentive when they booked the room block, which my wife and I found to be discourteous. We didn’t book online since there was no way to activate the room block discount (which as mentioned above, didn’t exist). They gave us two separate reservations, so this prolonged process of confirming two reservations took about 30 minutes, and I already regretted it. Your motel is located next to a TGIFriday’s which was a blessing since we were starving when we got there, but it was really closer to Baldwin rather than RVC and should have been advertised as such. There is no privacy or any sense of security. When we got to the parking lot, we were greeted by many people milling about and talking in the parking lot. Throughout our stay, they were there, and it made us very uncomfortable, sometimes as many as 20 people in a party just hanging out in the lot. Why would you let them do this? Our friend who was also staying with you told us that someone tried to come into her room unannounced, so after that, we decided we couldn’t trust the staff and didn’t want turn down service. The room was okay, not great. The bed mattress felt sunken in and old. The bathroom was disproportionate and missing at least a towel rack. There was a screw in the wall that used to hang something where the mirror now sat. The room was dark and dreary. The clicker was missing a battery cover and didn’t work, so no TV. The WiFi was inconsistent. When my wife said we were leaving and wouldn’t need the second reservation for the two additional nights, the guy at the front desk barely batted an eyelash. He called me two hours later to confirm that I had left. I wouldn’t come back to this motel even if it was free.

My husband and I and our cat stayed at this place under DSS from early September of last year until today (4/16/24). Things were going good for a little while until we started getting treated like second citizens. The person who used to be in charge of a the DSS people there, Sean, was awesome at first until his true colors showed and started acting nasty for no reason. The owners are hardly ever there but their sons, who are managers, do not know what they’re doing at all! They can’t run a hotel properly. They keep changing the rules for the DSS people and literally treat us like we’re children and like inmates. They would make us change rooms every 3 weeks which was very stressful because they rush you and they want you to sweep the floors and and wipe down the room before we move to the next room which is ridiculous because they have housekeeping there yet when housekeeping comes during the day a few times a week, one of the rules is you have to let them in to clean up your room or you’ll get scolded….now how does that make sense? It doesn’t! Plus when we do let them in to clean they don’t do the best job. Besides collecting dirty hotel towels and sheets, make the bed, and change the garbage and they’ll sweep but they don’t get the corners and they even left one side of the room unclean. Plus they took 2 of my personal towels when collecting the dirty hotel towels but the strange part was they left one of the dirty hotel towels in the bathroom but yet they took mine which were worn and faded. They need to pay more attention to what they’re doing when cleaning somebody else’s room. I even reported it to the managers but they did nothing about it. That’s not the first time they’ve taken my towels either. Management could care less about us. Just as long as they get paid. My husband and I were always respectful, polite, stayed out of all the drama that goes on there every single day, and we never were any kind of disturbance to anybody. But because we’re under DSS, doing right by the hotel meant nothing to them. The are unrealistic rules too like one baggage per person, no sexual activity (including married couples), no pets, etc. and in the beginning the hotel said pet friendly but I guess that’s only for the guests now. There are roaches and mice in the rooms every now and then. I’ve seen a bunch of roaches in multiple rooms I’ve stayed in. One of the rooms we stayed in had mold growing in the corner of the room in between the wall and ceiling and we had to stay in that room for a few days because no other rooms were available at the time. Another room we were in had a leak in the ceiling which dropped down causing a huge puddle on our dresser. Luckily none of our things got ruined. And whether anybody wants to believe this or not, there’s paranormal activity that happens there. I’ve had encounters with some of the phenomenon events that happened while we were living there. Staff have told me they’ve seen spirits here. The Long Beach Hotel use
The hotel has a beautiful environment, the parking lot is big, the room is acceptable, but the mattress is too soft. After I woke up, my neck and waist were very painful, and I couldn't move too much. The mattress in this hotel is too soft for me to sleep. The window is open Yang · The most unfortunate thing is the maintenance of the indoor swimming pool, I am a little disappointed not to be able to swim ·
