GGuest UserMy stay at this Hampton Inn got off to a very nice start. The young lady behind the check in desk was pleasant and efficient. A smiling face makes a huge impression on a road weary traveler. Likewise, the lady staffing the breakfast room was very nice. I’m a klutz when it comes to operating the self-serve waffle makers and she came to my rescue. Thanks for your help!! Now, for the less than positive — the single elevator is inadequate for the size of this hotel and is not conveniently located. Apparently, a lot of construction workers stay here and there was mud tracked throughout the lobby, elevator and hallways. Speaking of construction, the hotel is having a new roof installed. Fine, but don’t allow the construction crew to block off a significant part of your lot with their vehicles. Finally, my check out experience was the least acceptable part of my stay. When I approached the desk to check out on March 30, the clerk was absorbed in reading something and didn’t even raise his eye level to meet mine. He simply grunted, “What can I do for you?” Still staring at his book or newspaper or whatever it was that had his attention. It certainly wasn’t his customer.
DDave CThis was a fantastic hotel. Clean, super friendly staff, fantastic breakfast. Easy access, great location. Really a bargain in so many ways. This is a great chain for my fellow disgruntled Hilton members, with its high level of service and amenities, at the same base price as a Hampton.
LLINMEIThis hotel is extremely clean and has all the amenities you need. There is an oversized Wal-Mart supermarket near the hotel for easy shopping. Breakfast is average, the breakfast place is small and slightly crowded.
MMichael JIf you're looking for a good, reasonably priced sleep and go hotel while traveling, give this one a look. I like rather firm mattresses, so I slept well here, as they are firm and comfortable. The proximity to the Turnpike is nice, and there are lots of stores, food, and gas around - even walking distance. As I've seen others comment, the staff is super friendly and go out of their way to give off a positive impression and accommodate where they can. They work hard. The property itself shows its age a bit, but is by no means rundown. And, as previously mentioned, the staff is continuously working to improve everything. Also, as others have pointed out, the breakfast is a bit lacking, but there are a few items - mostly carbs though. Other options are very close by. Would I stay here again? Yes.
GGuest UserMy family and I stayed at the Econolodge in Streetsboro, Ohio for a week. The hotel staff and accomodations were excellent. The room was clean, the beds were firm, and the sheets were quality. The front desk staff was pleasant. They transferred our calls to the room and always had clean towels and toiletries upon request. The landscape was beautiful. Green grass around the building, fresh flowers planted at the front entrance. The maintenance team worked hard to keep the grounds well maintained. They mowed the grass, picked up trash and painted the garage cans and outside barriers! Fresh ice was provided near the vending machines. Plants were placed on the garbage cans creating a very home like feel to the hotel. In addition, incense were placed on each end of the halls. My husband and I enjoyed walking our 14 month old son and 11 year old daughter around the hotel grounds. We loved looking at the all the trees and felt at peace. We also spent a lot of time at the picknick table on the corner of the hotel. This allowed or 14 month old son to play in the grass for the first time. The hotel is within walking distance of Walmart, GameStop and Sheetz as well as other local vendors. This convenience allowed us to make all of our purchases. I would definitely recommend this hotel to to everyone and look forward to booking future visits at Econolodge hotel. Police presence is active and everyone can feel secure. As a have a traveling family and in transition. We have visited other hotels in the area, but we only felt fully welcomed here. Please respect staff...they work very hard to maintain there quality. Management is very approachable, just be respectful and please keep their peace. If, you have a request, just ask and they will give their honest opinion. All the staff are from the area and they work hard to insure your stay is quality. If your a smoker, please smoke outside in designated areas. There are multiple places to put your discards into trash. They trash is always done. Place in Hallway respectfully and the staff will take care of it. Good Business, creates Better Business. We would say they are the most Respectfully hotel in the area, to all types of respectful people.
GGuest UserI booked this hotel through Expedia for one night. It was a great price for the one night. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathtub had no stopper. The room included a refrigerator and microwave. I saw signs for a pool and exercise room, but did not check either one out. Our big issue was this is a dog friendly hotel and one of the dogs near us would not stop barking. By 11:30pm, we were sick of the barking and not being able to sleep and notified the front desk. Luckily, the barking stopped about twenty minutes later. We had to wake up early the next day, so we didn't get much sleep, but I'm glad the front desk took care of the problem.
GGuest UserThe room was a decent size and very clean. It was nice to have a mini fridge and microwave as well. It was also nice to have a parking space in front of the room. The bed was fairly comfortable. Pillows could have been better.(don’t like how worn out they felt)The only issue I had was complimentary breakfast was advertised but they do not actually serve breakfast.
GGuest UserJust wanted to have an early check in to spend more time with my partner, he had to leave at 8 so check in of 3 only gave us 5 hours. I was told early check in couldn't be guaranteed on weekends. So I booked an entire night I knew I wouldn't be there just so I could check in at 10am the next day. They cancelled and refunded the first night as a no show. Then trying to check in early was a nightmare
CcyuluvmeAllright, so my husband & I plus a couple others came to Kent as they had a company meeting to attend. Normally we prefer to stay at the Comfort Inn across the road for the big indoor pool & hot tub but their reviews weren’t great lately and the hot tub was broken. Anyway we saw this hotel had a small indoor pool to still enjoy. We knew coming here was risky since our total was only $50 but it was cheaper than the others around. Upon arrival we realize it didn’t look promising based on how the exterior and parking lot appeared. Well we checked in and went up to our room on the 2nd floor to room 209. First of all we noticed the hallways were not vacuumed. It was 3 pm and you would have figured this should have already been done. In our room we had a bedspread that had at least 3 different areas of smoke burn holes. Also on the fitted sheet on one side of the bed where you would have your pillow, there were more burn holes We did have a non smoking room btw. Also close to the ceiling above the sink there was water damage on the wall and also on the ceiling above the toilet and shower. The shower curtain is not long enough for the bar. There was 4 patched up holes on the wall perhaps where a tv used to hang. The wood flooring throughout was nice. My husband tried to pop a bag of popcorn in what I would consider the slowest microwave ever. It only popped half of it and started burning the rest. The walls are very thin in there as we were woken up at 5 am from the person above us and then about 7:30 am from our next door neighbor. Anyway, let’s back up to our evening between arrival and bedtime. We went to use the pool about an hour after we arrived. Boy, it was freezing in there. The thermostat didn’t work and the pool was too ice cold to even get into. The door going in and out was supported by a c-clamp. There were only 2 towels. Luckily one of the men working-perhaps the owner came in and apologized that no one had used the pool in a couple of days. And also blamed the cold weather outside for why it was also cold in there. He turned the heat up and and said that it should warm up very quickly. He provided us with more towels and even brought one to my husband and put it around his shoulders. He also offered us some coffee. I think it either embarrassed him or he really felt bad. It did finally warm up some to where we could get it. This pool and the walls are in need of paint and a good cleaning. After an hour we left with 2 others we were there with to go to dinner. When we returned we all decided to go to the pool again. The temp outside of course was much colder which in turn made what little warmth the pool water had worse. All four of us literally stood in the water each next to a vent to try and stay warm. A younger guy employee came in and turned the water temp up but it didn’t help much. We just tolerated what we had. We asked if he could turn up the room temp but he also noticed the thermostat was broken and just laughed and said he
