I stayed here over the weekend to visit my daughter who lives nearby. The check in was fine but then things quickly went down hill from there. Many of the lights in the room didn’t work and neither did the TV. I can deal with limited lighting but I had to have TV so I called down to the front desk. The same attendant who checked me in, Adina, rudely answered the phone in an irritated manner and hung up on me before I could fully explain my concerns. Maintenance was sent up to my room and the guy was incredibly nice and helpful but he couldn’t fix my TV. So they had to move me to another room. Adina’s horrible attitude impacted my trip for absolutely no reason at all. Guests should be able to call the front desk without worrying if they will annoy the staff. Especially for the more than $335 I paid for two nights. I didn’t feel very welcome because of her.

So the good- The bed was comfortable, very good air conditioning, quiet, bar attendant was attentive, wait staff attentive. The bad- Housekeeping was absent everywhere but the lobby. I am not indicating the every 3 day room cleaning as I don’t need daily attention. The fifth floor hallway had the same debris in it all week to the point I daily greeted the rubber, wrappers, and cello wrap. The carpet in my room was very dirty (someone had hole punched a document and punches were always on my feet. I had them room clean and I got fresh towels, no change to the condition of the carpet. I have been a Diamond member for quite some time and know they changed breakfast to a $10 food and beverage credit. Fine, it is nickel and diming, but fine. They credited this once in 5 days. No problem. I go to the front desk, the attendant wasn’t trained to fix this. She says she will fix, email me a corrected receipt, and give me a call to let me know it is done. Great! Other than it never happened. I have been struggling to get it corrected and a correct receipt for my expense report. Corp says on hotel can do it, hotel says only corp can do it. This is a third poor Hilton stay in the last few months. Colleagues have been having similar issues. Sorry, three strikes and guess who will not be aspiring to be Diamond or any other status next year.
I like it because it is easy access off of Hwy 35 going into Pearland and the building and parking are tucked back into and well away from road noises. I feel safer when staying in Pearland as compared to other parts of the near Houston areas. The rooms are comfortable and normally noise free. I've had one visit in the last year where I had a stomper upstairs above me (ugh!!). The beds and pillows are wonderful!
This hotel is absolutely amazing, for the price you may expect less, but this hotel goes above and beyond. Since the moment you entered, Thomas in the front desk was absolutely kind and informative at our arrival. The hotel is very clean. The rooms are very spacious and clean, the coffee is delicious, the bed were really comfortable and my kids enjoyed the pool so much. The complementary breakfast is a big plus. I have 0 negative comments about our stay.
We stayed here while in town for a wedding. When we walked in, we were surprised they had signs up apologizing for ”6 months” construction that started early May...this was last weekend in December?!? It looked like they had several more months work ahead of them. We were fortunate enough to stay in one of the updated rooms, however our mini frig. sat ”wonky”, hated the pillows & bathroom sliding door was very difficult to open. The bathroom fan was SUPER loud & didn't have a separate switch, so it came on every time you turned on the light. I don't understand why they didn't install a separate fan switch- especially when getting up during the night to use the bathroom & that LOUD fan comes on waking everyone else in the room?!? Our room was clean, but only 2 tissues in the box- we had to go steal a box off the housekeeping cart. Their free breakfast was excellent with eggs, sausage, French toast sticks, make your own waffles, breads, pastries, yogurt, juice & coffee. Restaurant area under construction so moved to a conference room. Will probably be nice when finished, but probably not up to normal Hilton standards & ADD A SEPARATE FAN SWITCH in the bathroom!!!

BbusinessclassguyLadies and gentleman if you are used to staying at 3 star hotels you will be disappointed with this property unless you are just hard up. First the good: Beds were comfortable and clean (at least my room was) AC was adequate. Refrigerator in room The not so good. Horrible smell when you first enter the room. People - why? Customers are coming in . We appreciate the efforts of a clean room but why the harsh odors of cleaning chemicals and industrial solutions? It's a sign of cheap cleaning. No Way in hell would that expereince be found at a hotel that values it's guests. Rust stains in the bathtub undesirables on the property by the pool And a WHACKED-Out billing system! I stayed for one night. They took my money from my card before I even arrived. They sugar coat it by calling it an ”authorization”... how cute. They certainly didn't mind apologizing for it which is absolutely ridiculous because that is not an admission of how F'ed up it is, it's basically saying ' tough Sh*t'. Then minutes after I checked in, BAM, another $118 hit on my card. What? A charge for one night is fine, but not TWO! Again, they do not care. Im staying for one night people. I was out a total of $237 which wiped me out for dinner as my card declined when trying to pay for an item. What property does this? This one does. As a frequent traveler to Houston and other parts of the state, I know a good hotel when I'm there. I can testify that IHG hotels (Holiday Inn) do not pull those shenanigans as do not Candlewood Suites, Courtyard Marriott, Hilton and Hyatt properties. So watch out for that. All the can do to remedy the situation like that is to apologize over and over hoping you'll swallow it and go away. The next day the ”authorization” dropped off and my statement reflected only a one night charge. But the drama it caused was not worth this place. Sorry folks you cant just take and meddle with someone's money. Budget conscious travelers are not prepared for that, especially when other Hotel chains do not conduct business transactions that way. I learned my lesson good. I'll gladly pay $199 a night to stay at a more customer friendly property.

DDazuixiangjinyaThe ceiling is thin and the noise of footsteps upstairs can be heard clearly. Breakfast is unchanged and even worse. The restaurant waiter is an Indian, without a smile, as if everyone owes her how much money. The front desk is good. Almost all the items in the room are made in China.

WWPHoustonWe like Holiday Inn, and this location is where we needed, so we booked a nonrefundable suite for a week. We wanted a place with a gym; it’s out of order due to flooding. The A/C is effective, but noisy enough to require ear plugs. The shower head either has a rim with no center, or a center blasting with no rim. Since it’s way high and we’re not real tall, this matters. The WiFi is very spotty in our room; I’ve turned it off. The precise timing required to get the key lock to work is weird (insert, remove, wait for the red light to go out, then about 1/10th second more, then it works — anything else and it’s try again). Frankly, it should just be insert, open. And there’s a giant security/publicity light that’s pointed at our room. It’s really bright, so there’s no way we can leave the curtains open to just look out. I rarely leave bad reviews; I’m pretty easy to please. And the bed is comfortable, the room is clean, and the breakfast is fine. But all the others kind of combine to be a rather regular irritant. If I hadn’t booked it nonrefundable, frankly, we’d probably just check out and find somewhere close with a working gym. I understand it’s not their fault that it flooded, but we really wanted it, darn it.
