The views and atmosphere are incredible but the Staff always makes it a special place to stay! Our beloved dog is 15 and we are doing a monthly bucket list. January was our stay at the Sage. The room was set up perfect for him and the Chef prepared a special steak dinner all cut up just right for him! Thank you so much for making this special for us!
JJet176712We arrived early on our check in date and Joe was able to process our check in early. He took our phone number and called as soon as the room was ready. We rented Bear Cottage #6. Loved it. Clean. Well appointed. We had everything we needed. Would not hesitate to stay here again. Even though the cottage was right on the main road, we slept well and did not notice any road noise . It was like the cottage was soundproof!
GGuest UserThe hotel in Yellowstone was suddenly cancelled because of the shooting two days ago. I can temporarily set this hotel. Outside the north gate, the town is small but there are some. The hotel room is very clean. Although there is no breakfast, there is a microwave oven and oatmeal. It is also very good.
GGuest UserIt's like a home, the kitchen utensils are complete, there are tableware detergent, the location is very good, just 100 meters from the supermarket, we made a dinner ourselves, but there is still something for the last guest in the refrigerator.
I don't like their bed very much. The sheets are local patterns, but I feel that they will not be changed. The quilts in the United States are layer by layer, and there is no quilt cover. I used disposable sheets myself.
The next morning, an elk was eating grass at the door of our room, very pleasantly surprised.
GGuest UserRooms were clean and comfortable. In room Keurig machine. But-- the staff really shined when the day after Christmas one of our car's tires went from a slow leak to flat. The night crew let the morning crew aware of our predicament. The one main auto shop was closed for a holiday break. Chester the maintenance man located a compressor and located a local who ran a small mechanic's shop. We filled the tire so I could drive the 2 blocks to the shop. Bill the mechanic was able to get the flat fixed. O yeah--all this happening when it was 10 deg. outside. Kudos to Samantha, Allison, Nathaniel, Chester, and one other nice woman whose name I didn't catch but her daughter is friends with the mechanic's daughter. Gardiner's population is less than 1,000 and the nearest bigger town is 50+ miles away so we were glad to get our car back on the road. Gardiner is at the North Gate of Yellowstone. Lodging in the park can be nearly impossible during tourist season. This would be a great place to stay just outside the park. Very pet friendly. Nice areas to walk our Corgi who also made friends with all the staff. Just a reminder to all pet owners---Please pick up.....
The Absaroka Lodge was a great place for us to stay during our trip to Yellowstone. Chris at the check-in desk was awesome! Informative and kind, he made check-in very easy! All of the staff there were great. We stayed for two nights - very convenient location - less than 5 minutes to Yellowstone's entrance. Walked to dinner both nights (Iron Horse Bar & Grill and the Cowboy Grille), as well as shops and ice cream. You can even walk to the Roosevelt Arch, where we saw elk crossing each night - there were even a few near the lodge. We had a lovely balcony overlooking the Yellowstone River (two chairs and a table). The room was clean (other than a few spiders, but being so close to the river that's not unexpected). Microwave, fridge, A/C, and great TV. Comfortable bed. We would stay again!
GGuest UserStayed one night, would have been better off sleeping in the car. Would have stayed somewhere else, but being right outside Yellowstone, there wasn't any other rooms available. Bed was so worn out that both my husband and I would roll to the sagging area in the middle of the bed, even sleeping on the edges of the bed. Something wrong with bed frame, made horrible noise anytime you got up. Floors were dirty with large tufts of dog hair. Took two short showers, and water was starting to cool partway through the second one. Sheets and towels were stained, and there was something white and crusty all over the exterior of the mini fridge door. Needless to say, this is the last Super 8 we will ever stay in. Would have been better off sleeping in our car.
Llilleyahlers19I rarely leave reviews, but in this case the front desk agent was unwilling to resolve our problem, even though it was a direct result of his mistake. Our stay was decent, although the “breakfast” was just toast and coffee and the room was too hot for comfort. The real problem is that our stay was cut short. At 8:45 my boyfriend and I went to the car to load some bags. The front desk agent said goodbye and we replied that we would be back in a few minutes. At 9:15 we returned to our room to find the door propped open and a housekeeper inside. She was startled but acted professionally and apologized. She had already thrown out our portable coffee maker, toothpaste and toothbrush, food, and other small items. We retrieved the more valuable items from the trash to clean off. We then went to the front desk and asked the agent if he could replace or reimburse us for the smaller items. He blamed the situation on the housekeeper, even though it was entirely his own fault. The man told the housekeeper to clean our room almost 2 hours before the 11 am checkout time, despite the fact that we still had our key and informed him that we planned to return. He then offered us $5 cash and laughed at us when we said the actual value was more. I work in the hospitality field and there is no reason this man should have handled this so poorly. The invasion of privacy alone is unacceptable and he should have done more to make it right. It is also never okay to pass blame instead of taking responsibility. I am extremely disappointed in the carelessness of this employee.
SSaschaThe Super 8 is located right on the main road through town on US Highway 212, not far from the northeast entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Check-in was just about possible at reception shortly before 8 p.m., but those arriving later had to look for their name on an envelope with the key card on the board. The hotel is quite old and does not really have a comfortable atmosphere. The room and bathroom were clean, however. The access door at the back of the building could only be leaned ajar and was thus open all night. The staff was distant and avoided eye contact. Very limited selection at breakfast. Wifi, however, was better and more stable than ”threatened” at check-in.
QQIUYANAn hour’s drive from the North Entrance of Yellowstone Park, it’s clean and has breakfast. It is very quiet at night and the bathroom and bathroom are very convenient. My friend and I are renting a car, so an hour's drive to Huangshi is also acceptable. If you are not afraid of people on the road, it is OK~ very good
