Ok hotel, with the amicable design, friendly reception and bar staff… two things which really annoyed me , hence the average rating - while booked via booking.com you normally have as a client to communicate with the hotel prior arrival via messages… well I did message the hotel 5 times without a reply for a minor but important detail…. Really upset me as they must have seen 5 messages?? - in a courtyard (supposed 3-4 sear hotel basic inroom amenities as a note pad and a pen should be standard… unfortunately in neither of our two rooms ;-( Again basically the hotel was fine, but those details show lack of customer care and can do attitude

We booked the double tree on its reputation. Paid for early check in, requested a fridge for meds …was told no problem. We get there at 1:00 and was told we couldn’t check in until. at least 3:00 Eve. Tho they charged me for early checkin . We were two people, they told me they had no rooms available with fridge as they had given them away even tho I was guaranteed. No microwave either.The room was for two, but we get to room and it’s clearly met for one! One desk chair at a table, one lounge thingy that no one over 40 would be comfortable in, and with my handicap I couldn’t get in it! They only supplied towels for one, we had to ask for more.we are supposed to get breakfast credit, but we didn’t They gave a card for a free drink at the bay which was closed. Nothing in the room or bathroom was very clean.Oh and if you wanted the room cleaned, you had to let the front desk know in the morning before 9:am.I set an alarm to do so which I shouldn’t have to do, I am on vacation. When we got back to our room at 3 pm, it still hadn’t been cleaned, so we settled for clean towels. We were so disappointed as we chose the double tree for its reputation in the Hilton family of hotels. It was not a good experience at all!

We chose this hotel for our Lakepoint baseball tournament. While it’s not close to the field, it’s very close to shopping, Truist Park, restaurants and everything else you may need. The rooms were clean (not spotless but clean) and spacious. The hotel had plenty of space for our team to spread out and a perfect open field for whiffle ball because, after playing baseball all day, blitz ball is a must. The breakfast was good with a good number of choices. The hotel seemed to have a mix of business travelers and sports teams but there were also some guests that didn’t seem to be staying at the hotel. Families came and used the pool who, when a child was injured, hopped in a car parked outside and left. Doesn’t seem to be very secure in that regard and something the hotel may want to look into. There were also interesting people who used the spaces but never went to rooms at different times during our stay. It was odd given the location. Overall we had a great stay and would I choose the hotel again.

I made reservations 2 week's ago. I called today. They said I could never stay their again. So I called choice hotels where I made reservation. They called hotel to get a reason. The manager told them I was messy. He lied. Choice hotel believes me. I cried for 3 hours. But choice hotel found me another hotel at last minute. Those people that run econolodge in Marietta are from another country. They are mean as dirt. Don't ever stay here. They will turn on you. They watch every move u make. My son is mentally challenged they treated him terrible. Choice hotel is very upset at how they treated me and my son. I'm a diamond member. Please please don't stay here. Their whole family lives here in hotel and they watch you like a hawk.

We were extremely happy with our stay. We were passing through on our way to Florida. The hotel is a fantastic spot to rest after a long drive. Rooms were large and very clean. The beds were comfortable and there is a ton of stuff to do around the area. We were very happy with the receptionist who was extremely friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and checked us in very quickly. We will 100% stay again.

Absolute nightmare. You walk in and are greeted with an awkward kiosk where you FaceTime with someone and they walk you through check-in. There is a clear communication delay and occasional noise/static that makes the interaction even worse. Booked what was supposed to be a suite, it was awful. Description said it had living room and bedroom, was just one large area. Was expecting two convertible couches, got one. Spoke with an actual human who wandered by and the offered two twin-size memory foam pads. We got one and never saw or heard from them again. Let’s start at the door. Missing a security mechanism to secure the door, not a huge deal. The hideous streaks going down the door, a little weird. The door doesn’t shut all the way when entering or leaving. Then there is the absent smoke detector. What in the world?! This can’t be safe. Moving on the room had almost no light. That sexy backlighting behind the beds either didn’t work or was nonexistent. The TV didn’t work, I had to physically connect cables behind it. The baseboards under the TV had what I assume to either be blood or fecal stains. The beds were not great, but surely bit terrible. The pillows, on the other hand were abysmal. To say they are flat is an understatement. You might as well be putting your head on thin air. A balled up t-shirt would have been more comfortable. The room is advertised as soundproof. It might be, but apparently other rooms are not. Folks up and down the hall could be heard having conversations and what I can only assume was moving couches through the night. It sounded like people were jumping rope above us, as well. Severely disappointing. The bathroom was a hellscape, too. There was no toilet paper roll, so it was placed on the shower bar. No big deal. The sink had a large x-shaped crack. Not great, but whatever. The pocket door was hilariously bad, though. It didn’t line up top to bottom, it had no lock and where they placed a hook you could see where it had been ripped out. The top of the door has two awkward notches, like it was supposed to be a sliding barn style and the plan fell apart. Each floor has a unique odor. One smelled like fish or shrimp had been left out too long. One smelled like nail polish. Another just smelled like a fart. As we were leaving and I was riding the elevator down and staring into the abyss I happened to notice that the elevator inspection was out of date, as well. Cool. I don’t know how that all functions, but it feels important when the expiration is so clearly posted. Overall horrible stay. Do not recommend. Stay away. Between potentially unsafe elevators, missing smoke detectors and stains and smears of unknown origins everywhere you might be safer (and more comfy) sleeping on the sidewalk.
